I am writing this review to warn others about my experience with Huurportaal.nl. This platform uses highly misleading practices to trap consumers into costly, automatic monthly subscriptions. They lure you in with what seems like a simple service, only to continuously charge you hidden fees that are incredibly difficult to cancel.
To make matters worse, outstanding amounts from these disputed, hidden subscriptions are immediately handed over to Intrum debt collection agency. Instead of addressing customer complaints or providing a transparent service, they use aggressive collection tactics to force people into paying for a service they did not want or use.
Be extremely careful before entering your details on this website. This is a subscription trap designed to extract money from desperate house hunters, backed up by immediate threats of debt collection. Untrustworthy and predatory.

This organisation appears to mislead consumers by requiring them, at some point during the registration process, to tick a box through which they supposedly waive their statutory right of withdrawal. The way in which this is presented is unclear and potentially misleading. Even the wording in their terms and conditions may give consumers the impression that this right is being confirmed, rather than waived.
In addition, the “offers” presented by this organisation do not appear to be their own offers, but rather offers provided by third-party providers.
I would therefore strongly advise others to exercise caution before using this service.
If you have also been affected by these practices, please get in touch. By joining forces, we may be able to consider collective legal action or other formal steps to challenge these practices and help prevent other consumers from being affected.

I’m actually happy to see that your score is 1.9, because it shows I’m definitely not the only person who had a terrible experience with your service.
When I emailed you to complain about what happened, instead of addressing my concerns, you told me I was being aggressive and that you couldn’t help me.
To anyone reading this: please be extremely careful.
* You register for what appears to be a free service.
* A few days later, €30 is charged without what I considered a clear notification or receipt.
* Later, the monthly charge becomes €40, again without what I considered sufficient notification.
* Even after cancelling and contacting my bank, I received a payment reminder for the old subscription, with a warning about collection.
I’ll leave it to readers to decide what they think about a business model like this.
For me, it felt less like a housing service and more like a trap that only became clear after money started leaving my account.
People looking for housing are already desperate. We work hard to afford a home, and businesses should not make that situation even more stressful.
I’m not writing this for a reply. I’m writing it as a warning so others can be more careful than I was.
And regarding the 1.9 rating: after my experience, I completely understand it.
As for what I would call this experience… I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.

In order to contact landlord you have to pay for subscription. Then once you pay and click 'contact landlord' it directs you to another page like kamernet.nl or some agency website that if you want to contact landlord you need to pay for them. It is like never ending rabbit hole of payments to contact landlord. Why do you allow this? You could simply require landlords to put their emails/phone number or availability to send a message. Absolutely horrible experience. Website I have visited once that scammed me for a few months of usage that I never applied for. And while all their emails go straight to my spam, the Intrum ones don't.
Looking for a house is a financially impossible situation for a student like me, and all they did was make it even more miserable. I tried to reach out and never got any reply; make sure you don't even visit the website.
