I think I was incredibly lucky to find a room last year through Kamer.nl; though the amount of time it takes for a landlord to actually approve a request for viewing their room for rent is really long, even though the website is very navigable and the support staff are really professional.
This year, as my landlord informed me that he does not wish to continue leasing the rooms in his home to me for any longer, I had to use kamer.nl again, however, this time around, most of the time when I apply to view rooms through the kamer.nl website, I get emails in short notice that essentially link me to other rental application websites such as rentwebs.nl, woning-plein.nl and rentfinder.nl.
As a student of limited financial resources, and undergoing severely traumatic personal life circumstances at this time, shelling out more than 20 euros per rental application website, with no guarantee of being selected for a room viewing was incredibly disheartening, stressful and depressing. I am facing a great deal of uncertainty with my current housing situation, as my lease agreement expires at the end of August.

I found a cosy studio in Leiden under €900 thanks to Kamer.nl. Their search alerts were spot on, and I had my viewing set up within days. It saved me so much time and stress，highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely home.

Signed up for the trial but found a place shortly afterward through another website, so I barely used my subscription. I contacted customer support, and they were very understanding and handled my request quickly and fairly. Excellent service and very friendly communication. Thank you!

Great site to find a sublet. I found my sublet in Amsterdam using Kamer. They also refunded me when I forgot to cancel my subscription after finding a sublet. Definitely recommend!

Kamer.nl are scammers you pay to there website but they redirect you to another website which you need to pay again

Won't help you with search for the apartment but will gladly steal your money. Don't trust them!

This website is definitely a scam. Do not lose 30 euros on a “membership”.

Moving to Rotterdam was stressful. FYI the new design is super friendly on my mobile. I made a free account first en then upgraded for the full access. Literally found my new home within four weeks. A huge relief! De vernieuwde profielen zijn top.

It's worth mentioning the support team though. Lieke hielp me mijn zoek alerts te tweaken. Ended up with a nice place after a few close calls.

Scam. You pay for a subscription to a website that redirects you to facebook posts and other platforms, most of which you need to pay more. Useless. They also denied the right of withdrawal, because "I responded to some adds".

I subscribed to Kamer.nl thinking it would help me find a room, but it turned out to be a complete waste of money. After paying, I contacted one listing and was given a phone number and a link to woning-plein.nl. When I called them, they told me I had to subscribe again on their site to get any info.

This felt like a scam — Kamer.nl is just redirecting users to other paid platforms without offering any real service. I reached out to ask for a refund and to unsubscribe, but they completely ignored my messages. No reply, no help, and definitely no refund.

Avoid this site if you’re looking for a real and trustworthy platform. Extremely disappointed.
