Effecent had to ring after 2weeks to get it delivered also a lot of the blocks of timber were huge you would want a furnace to fit them in staff very plesent and efficient

Marked down to 4 star for lack of notice
Logs are of good heavy weight and seem to be of good quality. We were not advised beforehand of delivery date. Got a few minutes notice, so I wasn't home. Pallets had to stay outside the garage making stacking inside more difficult. Outside pallet measurements are a bit of a swizz - common to all suppliers. Inside measurements gave 17% less volume. That's a lot.

The notice on delivery wasn't good enough, that's on us and we're raising it so it doesn't happen again. You should have had proper warning ahead of the drop so you could be there and get them where you wanted them. Sorry for the hassle, and for the awkward stacking job it left you with.
Fair point on the pallet sizes too. They're the external ones because that's what the haulier and yourself need for access, so the inside always comes in under once you take off the base and the sides. Same story across the board as you say, and the weight is the figure that matters at our end. Every crate is checked before it leaves us.

Really helpful delivery driver
The delivery driver went out of his way to make the delivery as easy as possible for us. We live on a narrow road and yet he managed to get the truck into our driveway which is a lot harder than it sounds. Then he assisted my partner in delivering the palate directly inside the garage toward needed to go.
