Poor ordering system.

I ordered 2 samples. The address form on the website is designed for German addresses so it was very difficult to enter a UK address with a house name. The delivery then sat at Royal Mail for a week as they couldn't match the address. After numerous requests for help from Egger I gave up and cancelled the order. I did get a refund. This also happened with samples ordered through my carpenter. If Egger are going to sell to the UK in a meaningful way it can't be that hard to have a UK address form for deliveries?

Not what it once was

I used Egger laminate click system 3 years ago. It as great with good quality wood. However I have purchased more Egger laminate for my kitchen, the quality has gone massively downhill wood click breaks and is fragile, awful job trying to do job.
Egger always blame and finger point at poor installation or poor surface?? How about admitting you have cut corners like British Layland in the 70s. My floor looks as it was laid by David Blunkett and his dog.
So please consider better than Egger

If water resistance is important to you, buy Egger Aqua Plus.

I have a tenanted property with multiple ensuites so it was important to me that the flooring throughout was water resistant and was on budget, around £20/m2. I went to every major DIY store and got over 20 samples of laminate from established brands and store brands of all price points and left them in a bucket of water for about 2 weeks. I used calipers to determine that the only laminate that didn't swell was a Egger Aqua Plus sample. I was expecting better results from the bigger more expensive brands, especially in 2024. I did some digging and found out that Egger is a German brand and they offer protection against water damage for up to 72 hours and one of the few companies that passes the American NALFA swelling test. The coreboard is specifically designed to resist swelling and moisture penetration. The click installation system ensures a secure and tight connection, minimising water from seeping through. The click system is more sophisticated because it needs to click on two sides as you lay a plank down when most laminate click systems require just one, therefore installing Egger is more frustrating but tighter. My laminate installer said it took him 50% longer to install my Egger than other laminates. I chose the popular 8mm thickness and made sure it was from the Aqua Plus range instead of just Aqua to ensure the 3 day water protection as opposed to 1 day. They also come in different abrasion resistances, so I chose the highest, class 33 (AC5) instead of class 32 or 31 (31 is called the comfort range). The flooring also has realistic textures that match the wood patterns to some degree so they pay attention to detail. I recommend doing a bucket test yourself if water protection is important to you and choose the higher spec ranges from Egger as they are only a little more expensive than the entry level range.

Absolutely unprofessional East German…

Absolutely unprofessional East German Representative of Egger Group Austria. I bought 45 square meter of flooring. If Egger or another vendor sells their products in Germany they have to do it according german law. Within 2 years I needed replacement for some flooring
elements. The answer from Holzprofi24 as well as Egger Group was: "Sorry, we changed the design and cannot deliver you the replacement floor elements. You have to buy new flooring for the room and re-floor
the entire room." This leaves you speechless.

I am writing to file a complaint…

I am writing to file a complaint against VISION, an EGGER-authorized company in China, for maliciously deceiving us and failing to take responsibility for the issues caused. Despite our payment, time, and effort, VISION has left us stranded, causing delays in our project without offering any resolution or compensation for the losses we incurred.

Here is a summary of the situation:
• Last year, based on EGGER’s authorization, we contacted VISION to customize cabinets. They provided us with the contact information of Mr. Liu, the regional manager in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.
• On January 3rd, Mr. Liu confirmed the price and took a deposit of 10,000 RMB. The designer then provided us with two design options.
• On March 12th, the designer and Mr. Liu suddenly informed us that they would no longer be fulfilling our order, leaving us to solve the issue on our own. They refused to provide reasonable explanation.
• We were hoping to continue with EGGER VISION for our cabinets, but they rejected our request and walked away.

EGGER VISION’s actions have caused significant reputation damage in our city, which has a population of over 1.8 million. The residential area where our house is located is a newly built development with over 1,000 new homes that need to be renovated. Mr. Liu promised that our home would be the first EGGER VISION project in the city and a model for others to view. Now, our neighbors are shocked and disappointed by how EGGER’s authorized company has treated us.

We request that EGGER address this issue and take appropriate action. We would appreciate an explanation of the company’s customer service standards and how they justify treating customers this way — deceiving them, taking their money, wasting their time, and leaving them with no responsibility for the damages caused?

Egger comfort flooring

I bought Egger comfort flooring 5 years ago for the bedrooms. After 4 years it started to show few white mark, in every bedroom. It had 8 years warranty, so I wrote to the company few times. Never received a reply. Very poor quality and service. I would never buy from them again.

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought the floor!
Never mind that it is nearly imposible to
lay down as the click system simply don’t work! It is a challenge!! Consumed so much time and broken panels !
What made me very angry was dropping the wooden hanger and dent the panel !!! Absolute rubbish !

Egger click and crack laminate floor…

I bought 11 packs of Egger 12mm grey laminate flooring from Homebase, it proved impossible to lay due to 'mismatch' in male/female click profiles, flooring was bowed at every joint, pressing it flat fractured the board edges. All in all a wasted day and a "battle of the emails" and photos necessary to get Homebase credit. Good product if you enjoy a challenge!!

Absolute awful laminate flooring…

Absolute awful laminate flooring purchased from Homebase (Egger) £32.24 per pack. Impossible to fit. Just would not lock together. We have fitted lots of different laminate flooring over the years and this is the worst. Not fit for purpose. We are returning ours having already wasted a day on it. Avoid at all costs.
