Admitted the shed was faulty, then refused to refund. I won a chargeback against them.

Avoid them, dont shop here! Ordered a ProShed metal garden shed (€320.77). It couldn't be assembled — pre-drilled holes didn't line up with the frame, some missing entirely, buckled roof panel, bent rails, a hole in the roof.

Dancover admitted it in writing, confirming "misalignment between some of the pre-drilled holes and the frame, as well as a damaged profile." So the fault was never in dispute.

They still refused to refund. They insisted I arrange and pay to ship a 32 kg palletised shed back to Denmark — their own order confirmation quotes that at €471, more than the €320.77 refund. Their own terms say "if the claim is justified Dancover will of course cover the freight costs of returned products," but they applied their 14-day change-of-mind policy instead. A shed they admit is defective is not a change of mind.

They also sent a replacement I'd explicitly declined. It never arrived — their carrier's tracking showed no movement for over a month — and they demanded I return that too.

I asked for a prepaid label or a collection. They refused, then stopped replying altogether. The marketing emails kept coming.

I raised a chargeback with my card issuer and won the full €320.77. The faulty shed is still at my house, still available for them to collect. They've never tried.

I would avoid the company

I would avoid the company, received delivery and parts were missing, contact customer services and they wouldn’t help me, all they told me was to do it online, so I did that, I received parts just over two weeks later, my parts were there and loads of other parts, bonus you would think but I have no where to keep them, contacted customer services and was told basically to put them in the bin as they wouldn’t take them back, I expected a Danish company to be a bit more eco friendly.

Dear Alan Farmer

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that parts were missing from your delivery and that the process of receiving the correct parts took longer than expected. Claims are handled through our website, as this allows us to collect the necessary information and process cases as quickly and accurately as possible.

We also understand your frustration about receiving additional parts. In some cases, we assess that returning such items is not the most appropriate solution, partly to avoid unnecessary transportation.

Kind regards,
Dancover

Incorrect parts and appalling 'service'

We spent a day putting together the shed we ordered. It’s taken an inordinate amount of time became of some errors in the pieces.

Firstly, parts 4L and 4R were incorrect. They both had small sections at the top with a screw hole in each that meant it was impossible to site part 15. We had to bend these out of the way, which turned out to be the way they should have been engineered because this then made the screw holes useable.

The second fault was infuriating. The very last stage on the final page was to fit the floor frame crossmember. The piece supplied (W1) did not fit. There are two narrow openings on the frame that should take the ‘tongues’ of W1. Unless W1 is installed at the time of putting the floor frame together, it’s not possible to fit this at all.

I have reported these issues to your customer ’service’ system and had the most infuriating non-replies. I was first answered by bot (or by a bot-like human) and then told to send photos of the problem pieces.

I sent photos and was then told these had to be before installation. I was also told that the crossmember was shown being fitted first in the documentation - that was an out and out lie and, when called out on it, the customer service person agreed but still made no apology or gave a solution.

On top of all of this, and despite managing workarounds to at least get the shed up after two days, we noticed it was leaking.

UPDATE: their reply was basically “tough” plus a ridiculous suggestion that the leak was condensation. We watched them rain dripping in through the roof.

Avoid this company!

Avoid this company! We purchased an awning in April 2025 delivered to London. Our builder noticed a small dent in one of the arms on delivery. He thought the functionality of the arm would be fine and so installed the awning as it looked like it was just very minimal cosmetic damage. However unfortunately the small dent meant that the arm did not fully retract or extend.

I contacted Dancover customer services and they said that the damage was in fact 'external damage' caused by 'handling errors' or 'weather related damage.' This was despite us contacting them the same afternoon that the awning was installed!

They refused to send out a new arm, and had the cheek to send me a quotation for the single arm at a cost half the price of the entire awning!

ZERO stars - awful customer service

I wouldn’t give any stars but had to give one to be able to write a review

We have purchased numerous gazebos from Dancover and always been happy until now.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Dancover didn’t pay the shipping on a product so now UPS have sent my husbands details to a credit company who are taking legal action. After numerous emails back and forth with dancover who are saying it’s paid, I rang the credit agency who said it’s NOT paid. I rang dancover only to have the person at the end of the line be extremely rude and put the phone down on me when I asked to speak to a manager - unacceptable behaviour! I will never buy from here and will not recommend either - all ok until you have an issue. Now we need to seek legal advice.

Dear Louise Jones,

We understand your frustrations regarding the incorrect customs claim that UPS have sent you. Since your initial contact, we have contacted UPS each time, and they have reassured us that they have cancelled any fees. We share your frustration, as the fees shouldn't be claimed in the first place, and the last thing we wish is for it to affect our customers. UPS have confirmed the cancellation of the fees again, and we will send you the confirmation to your email address.

Given many delivery dates.

The same product is advertised as available in 5 working days.
Sales, customer services, accounts and complaints depts are all equally inept.

Lousy quality Lousy customer service. September 2021 we ordered a large…

In September 2021 we ordered a large greenhouse. The delivery was incomplete and it was a huge hustle to get the right pieces. The assembly also was a serious job.
Today, 3 years later, the whole cover (UV resistant) is cracking !!!
I contacted Dancover last week and their answer is absolutely one of the most customer unfriendly answer I ever received !
‘Dancover covers a 2 year warranty and they cannot accept the complaint. ‘
For the rest, no suggestions what to do, how this can be solved, no interest .. just go to hell !!
There we are.
This company is simply a shame !

Awful rude customer service

Few years ago, on recommendation from a business colleague, we got two marques from Dancover for our event hosting needs.

This time round, we were seeking a Folding garage for my new car, and was contemplating their Flex Garage; Folding Garage (Car), 2.6x5.8x2.1M, Grey priced at £906.30 for members.

As my car is a two seater, Mazda MX5, and it's doors are rather long, we were concerned once we have backed the car into the back portion of the garage, will the midpoint of the garage where the front portion of the garage is folded up against and resting upon, prevent the door from opening.

I decided to use their chat facility to chat to one of their "Experts" to find out the measurement from the back of the garage to the midpoint.

I even uploaded a photo taken from their website, where I've purposely drawn in which measurement I was referring to.

The guy in the chat stated he don't have the measurement and he cannot find/get it for me and when I asked if I could speak to someone to complain as I believe my request for this measurement is legitimate and crucial in order for me to be able to use the garage, he immediately cut the chat off!

I decided to telephone and spoke to a guy from customer service, who immediately gave me the measurement I requested, but when I requested for the spelling of his name twice, he refused, stating his name is in their website and I should find it there.

My experience encountered with this company's Sales and Customer Service this morning has certainly shocked and definately revealed to me why I should NOT be proceeding with any further business transaction with this company, and I will obtain my car garage and any further items from other retailers.

I've emailed Dancover with a copy of the chat transcript and the photo of the garage with my scribbled measurement to endorse the authenticity of my displeasure to how we were treated. Appalling.

Dancover ( Dancover.co.uk )

Dancover ( Dancover.co.uk )

We purchased two of their Marquee’s ( FT135939 ) which were not cheap £1395.00 +vat each. With carriage the total bill was £3,718.07 on 11/05/23.
We only used one of them – which collapsed 1st time it was used ( poles broke ). They are just not fit for purpose. We were unable to agree to return them, as they were arguing about refunding and it cost £500.00 to return them with no assurance they will refund us. So we had no choice but to take them to court ( small claims ).

But this UK registered firm ( 10148014 ) with a UK VAT registered No GB894563180, who’s HQ’s are in Cambridgeshire. Have tried everything to stop having to go to court.

Initial the court said it was covered under UK law, but have been convinced by the Dancover’s lawyer on 22/04/24 that it should be under “Parish Law”. That’s right you heard correct - 18th century, “Parish law”.
We challenged the court decision and pointed out that Local Government Act of 1972 abolished all “Parish Law”.

The court then on 06/06/24 changed the decision to now be under “Danish Law”, as that’s where they hold stock, but it doesn’t say on any website that they only abide by Danish Law – “So buyers be ware”

We have appealed the decision as advised by the C.A.B. who have also passed the case to “Trading Standards” who are looking into it.

They both feel as we do that this is not how a UK registered firm should behave.

So if this company wants to be in the 18th century – then lets consign them to it. There are better companies and products than theirs. See all the other negative reviews on here.

So unless you live in Denmark – “Don’t buy off this company” been warned.

DO NOT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY

Orangery arrived promptly in the UK. Subsequent delays due to UK courier.
This is the only good part.
Unpacked the frame for the orangery and checked all items off against the parts list in the instructions. 1.Numerous parts mislabeled which created a great deal of confusion. Parts with the numbers 6 & 9 mixed up, or 6's labelled as 9's & visa versa.
2. Frame parts packaged together with no number ID's on them. Very frustrating, we were EVENTUALLY able to figure these out as the build progressed.
3. As the frame was going up it became apparent that Dancover's quality assurance is absolutely non-existent. Numerous vertical and horizontal parts without pre-drilled holes to allow fitting of further frame parts. This left us with two choices - initiate a claim against them which would have led to weeks of delays or simply re-engineer the frame by drilling out where needed. We opted for the second choice. Whilst accurate measuring was done with a set square it still led to unsightly scars on the frame and removal of the protective finish. There were also several captive threaded fittings missing which meant we had to go out and purchase additional nuts and bolts.
3. Machine cut edges on the aluminum extruded frame were not filed down leaving very sharp jagged edges. Had we not been wearing work gloves, these would have caused injury without doubt. More time wasted having to go get new nuts and bolts & time spent filing down the edges.
4. Factory fitted angle brackets and door hinges all had to be modified. Brackets did not have all of the pre-drilled holes to allow for fixings. Door hinges had massively oversized rivets holding them in place. This meant that the glass panels would not slide down behind them. We had to drill these out. Again we had to go out, find smaller rivets and carry out this modification ourselves.
5. Eventually we managed to get to a place where the glass was to be fitted to parts of the orangery. Upon opening the box containing the glass parts we were welcomed with thousands of tiny shards of glass. Upon checking off the intact panes of glass against the parts list we eventually discovered that we were now missing 5 individual panes of glass. The glass was not well packaged at all. Simply placed in a wooden crate with the thinnest of (approx 1mm) foam inserts placed between the panes randomly and about every 8-9 panes. Very very poor.
6. Some of the glass panes do not even fit the frame. Particularly some triangle shaped sections which are at high level towards the 3 roof apexes. Whilst they do actually sit in the frame, on the long length ( think hypotenuse) there is an approx 2" gap. Now bare in mind that there are approx 6 of these all with 2" gaps. This renders any thermal effects of having an orangery redundant as hot air rises and will simply leave the enclosure.
7. The instructions seem to have been generated on a CAD program by a dyslexic cat. Very poor quality. It's only the fact that i am a mechanical engineer and deal with these sort of things daily that allowed me to progress to where we are today.
8. Customer service - or lack of it!!!!!!!!!!!!. As we were building over the weekend i had to wait until the Monday to start a case with Dancover customer service. Initially this was done online via their chat tool. Incredibly ineffective. The representative was rude, dismissive and just not helpful. Taking no time or effort to try to understand the issue. Eventually after being passed through departments I had to then go through all of the specific details again only to be told after some time ( and waiting for any form of response) that I had to email them!
9. Emailing their customer services - initial automated response was in essence "we will have a solution for you within 24 hours of receiving the complaint/issue". Now, it can't be just me who'd think "ok, great. In 24 hours i'll have the replacement glass shipped out". Nope. 5 days later and despite numerous emails sent out by myself, often with no reply I am still waiting for a resolution.
10. It gets better - the morning after I made Dancover aware of ALL OF THE ISSUES they decide to remove our item from their website and stated to me (when they eventually replied) that they no longer stock this item. Coincidence? Perhaps. But I can not help but think that the issues with this particular product were known in advance and perhaps our purchase was the final nail in the coffin for them in regard to this orangery.
11. I suggested to them that I am happy to source the replacement glass myself to the same technical specifications as supplied - 4mm toughened glass and passed on the cost quoted to me, and I also asked for a small amount of compensation to cover the cost of the additional costs of the fixings. STILL NO RESPONSE!

STAY CLEAR OF THEM!

Under UK consumer protection law…

Under UK consumer protection law Dancover must pay reasonable return shipping costs if the product they supply is faulty (e.g. scratched) or not fit for purpose. It does not matter what Dancover's terms and conditions say - they cannot contract out of this law.

My credit card company upheld my complaint when Dancover refused to pay for the return shipping costs and only offered replacement parts (which they then didn't send).

Appalling, aggressive customer service, followed by no engagement at all. The behavior of this company needs to be notified to the relevant consumer protection bodies in Denmark and the UK, particularly in light of the number of complaints on this site.

Sorry to say I I am appalled and shocked by after sales service

Sorry to say I was stupid enough to purchase a folding car cover with out reading other reports about Dan-cover my complaints are with after sales service. I was sent 4 Boxes 2 were a right and a left side of the folding garage! But I was sent 2 Left hand sides so they will not interconnect as both are male connections. There were bolts missing and the door springs were bent and donot fit on the plate 😡I found there customer service shocking and some times Rude. I am an engineer a now have a purchase that I have had for 2 months and can not assemble and have asked written. Telephoned emailed taken photographs and written reports that are totally ignored and have now put it in the hands to make a claim against the company.. their product was a total waste of money on my time how much suggest not to order from this company who advertise on Facebook I like the advert and was willing to give it a go. I am no annoyed and angry that it simply takes someone with some common sense to send me the right hand side which is missing. If you deal with them you’ll find they do not help. They not prepared to put right their mistakes and leave you with a product that says no use to you. Sadly my words to the directors and Chairman, you should be ashamed of yourself you’ve let down so many people I am an honest and Fairman and I’ve been treated badly. Do not buy from this company. You will regret it. Rob Frost 28/01/ 2024 I will be taking action against you, which will cost you far more than replacing the few parts that you sent by mistake 🙈

Buyer Beware

I purchased a Livestock shelter from Dancover erected correctly in a field where it was to be home for my horse and donkey. They managed to wreck it in around 6 months. I suggested to Dancover that as a livestock shelter it was unfit for purpose, they more or less blamed me for all it's faults and generously offered me 20 percent of all parts which had perished. Clearly I declined. Dancover have their own agenda when it comes to customer care which appears to be almost nil. There is so much more to this tale but I wont bore you. Let Buyer Beware be your watchwords.

Unable to erect due to incorrect fixings- appalling after sales

The Pergola arrived with the incorrect type of jam fixings (The 88 fixings that came were square instead of round) and two incorrectly sized hinge-rings. The Dancover representative made suggestions such as, "use a knife to cut a bit off to make the square jams round" or "put some oil on them". After 5 months of getting nowhere with Dancover we purchased our own fixings. The pergola cost £2,700 and eventually we were given a small refund of £75 for the inconvenience of not being able to errect the pergola for the whole of the summer. Would definitely not recommend Dancover.

Dancover poorest company I have ever dealt with

The company are the poorest that I have dealt with. Their customer service ignores your questions and replies with what they want to hear, which will be in their favour. I have been told that the mini greenhouse I purchased is not suitable for UK weather, I never claimed that, rather explained that it has been designed poorly and is un-fit for purpose. Be careful if considering purchasing from Dancover. My bank are now dealing with them. MW
