GooTickets calls it a refund, but it isn't. They keep your money as store credit that can only be spent with them, then put a 24-month expiry on it. If you don't use it in time, they simply keep your money.
I tried to use my credit and was told it had expired and was no longer available. Customer service offered no flexibility, no goodwill, and no solution—just quoted their policy. I don't understand why there should be a time limit on money that was already mine, especially when I never had the option of receiving an actual refund to my original payment method.
Very disappointing experience. I won't be using GooTickets again and would not recommend them.

Brought a VIP package, Not a VIP experience
Brought a VIP package, didn't received VIP service (or the content of the package I ordered!) - emailed for support a few times after my experience and they have declined to reply to any of these emails or importantly resolved the matter satisfactorily.
Two stars for customer service, potentially one star if I have indeed been mis-sold my 'VIP' pacakge.

Regarding your experience on the day, our on-site team acted immediately to address the initial delay during check-in and ensured you were accommodated in the Shangri-La Platinum Terrace. This was an upgraded hospitality location, offering enhanced catering and improved track views compared to the original Gold Terrace package booked at Ermanno Palace.
We do regret that the initial disruption affected part of your experience, and we fully understand your frustration. However, we would like to reiterate that the alternative arrangements provided represented a higher-category hospitality experience than the one originally purchased.

No refund processed since 4 months
They're processing my refund for Bahrain GP for 3 months and still no money on my account. No replies for my emails since I've shared my bank account details which was almost 2 months ago.
They're also claiming in some previous replies "We would like to point out as well that all refund processes for the Formula 1 events which have been cancelled, have been finalised." which is hilarious.
Update:
I'm not Jordan... The refund has been still not processed. Why are you claiming in the other comment that the refunds have been finalised while now you are saying that there are delays. I also don't understand why you're not responding to my emails. Legit company will communicate about delays rather then ghosting the customer.

I bought tickets for the Monaco GP 2026 - one long in advance, one a week before. Everything went super smoothly
- the order & also the process of picking the tickets up in Monaco. I even got upgraded for free for the Sunday. I would definitely buy again with Gootickets.

Unacceptable refund delays and exploitative fees
The F1 Bahrain GP was canceled due to the regional conflict, which is understandable. However, GooTickets' handling of the situation has been absolutely disgraceful.
They demanded a decision by March 31st regarding the refund or credit. I submitted my refund request on March 18th. Despite my prompt response, they held onto my money for over a month, only processing the refund on April 21st—three full weeks after their own deadline. It is inexcusable to keep customers' funds in limbo for this long without any transparency.
On top of the delay, their refund policy is predatory. Even though the cancellation was due to force majeure, they kept the original handling/booking fees ($27.50) AND deducted an additional 3% "processing fee" from the ticket price. Charging customers extra fees to get their money back for a canceled event is pure greed.
Summary of the experience:
Unjustified Delay: 3 weeks of silence after their own deadline passed.
Exploitative Fees: Kept initial fees and added a 3% penalty for the refund.
Zero Accountability: Quick to set deadlines for customers, but extremely slow to return funds.
They are using a global crisis as an opportunity to pocket extra fees while providing subpar service. I will never use GooTickets again.

We would like to stress that it is not in our interest to delay any refund as we want to satisfy and retain our customers, however, due to the nature of our business, Gootickets is fully dependent on recovering the funds from the race promoter to initiate the issuing of refunds to customers.
We would like to point out as well that all refund processes for the Formula 1 events which have been cancelled, have been finalised.
All customers will -or have already received their refunds in these days.
"The handling fees are mandatory as per terms and conditions, they represent a percentage on top of the ticket price listed on our ticket shop and are clearly stated in the invoicing before you process the payment further and acknowledge its terms and conditions. The handling fees represent our administration costs, acting as a third party ticket reseller." So we do hope you can accept that unfortunately they can't be discussed.
If you did not agree with the refund's rules, you had the chance to choose an account balance (credit), which would have been for the whole amount of the order, without any additional costs, and with a validity of 2 years.
-After these explanations we would really be glad and thankful if you could revise your comment as we trust in your understanding that this is not reflecting our service level.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Gootickets and feel compelled to warn others about their conduct.
I purchased Formula 1 tickets through this company for an event that has now been officially cancelled by the FIA. In circumstances like this, it is standard industry practice — and a basic consumer expectation — that ticket providers and resellers receive reimbursement and pass refunds on to customers. Despite this, Gootickets have refused to issue a refund.
Instead, they have relied on vague and one-sided terms and conditions to withhold money for a service that will not and cannot be delivered. This raises serious concerns under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which require services to be provided as described and, where not fulfilled, for consumers to receive appropriate remedies.
Refusing to refund customers for a cancelled event — while the business itself is not incurring the same loss — appears fundamentally unfair and potentially unlawful. It suggests a deliberate attempt to retain funds that are not rightfully theirs.
Communication has been poor throughout, with generic responses and no meaningful effort to resolve the issue. There is a complete lack of transparency and accountability.
I would strongly caution anyone considering using Gootickets. Based on this experience, I will be escalating this matter further, including through formal complaints and potential legal routes if necessary.
