I have been a tutor for Bijles Aan Huis for nearly four years. In this time I have always had professional, pleasant communication with the team. Bijles Aan Huis takes great responsibility in helping their students and tutors. All in all, they are an incredibly helpful, genuine and accessible platform, both for students to take classes as for tutors to teach.

the whole process to register and find a tutor was very easy and supported by the team.
The teacher we teamed up with is very helpful and my son enjoys the sessions with her.
Bijlesaanhuis reached out to me almost immediately. After a detailed intake, they send me a list of qualified teachers. We are working with Razin. Our 14 year old son has autism, and Razin provides excellent guidance for both parents and students. Our son's grades have gone up, and he listens well to Razin.

We are happy with the support our child is receiving from the tutors we’ve selected. The variety of subjects available to choose from is good, and we particularly appreciate the English speaking tutors. Our only suggestion would be to have the app available in English 😉

Hi,
After a long search of a good chemistry teacher we came across Bijlesaanhuis. My son (VWO, jaar 5) liked the teacher during free intake and we bought 12 lessons.
We'd like to thank a wonderful teacher Koos for the lessons. He is Guru in Chemistry and can explain any assignment/theory in a way my son gets it. Each time the lesson is well planned and prepared so that they can learn and practice, do the opgaven. Upon my request, the teacher also gives homework and it helps my son to practice more and ask questions during the lesson.
We had also nice interaction with Oscar, coordinator from Bijlesaanhuis.
It's not cheap (we pay 50 euro per lesson?), but it's worth it when the child is stuck and we, parents, cannot help him with this subject.

Jacco seemed professional and Agastya liked his first class

This is now the four time I am writing my review as Bijles aan Huis keeps on removing them from trustpilot! This is real. This happened and I have all the email, sms, phone calls registered, and so do you. So stop removing based on your ridiculous arguments that this is not a real complaint!!
My experience with my daughter's tutoring has been nothing short of a nightmarish ordeal. Initially, we were quite impressed with the first tutor, V. However, our dreams were swiftly shattered when V, who initially appeared to be dedicated, suddenly vanished from our lives, citing her overly busy schedule. It felt like a cruel joke considering we had an agreement, didn't we? It's as though we were the least of her concerns, and the shock of it all was overwhelming. I wish we had been informed earlier about her unavailability because now my daughter finds herself without a teacher during crucial test weeks.
But that's not even the worst part. During our initial meeting with the tutor, a specific price was discussed - 20+ euros per hour. To top it off, we were told that there would be no dislocation fee in our case due to our proximity. So, when an invoice arrived demanding a staggering 85 euros, I thought it made sense, given that the math seemed to add up to roughly that amount for the four classes. So, without much thought, I paid, thinking the matter was resolved. Little did I know that the storm was far from over.
Suddenly, out of the blue, we were informed that the correct price was what was listed on their website, not the figure the teacher had quoted to us. I was left utterly aghast! It was as if they were trying to gaslight me into believing I had misunderstood. I had meticulously paid attention to what their own teacher had conveyed to us. She had arranged the lessons because, on my end, only 90 minutes were available, and we had settled on 60 minutes per lesson. So, you can imagine the sheer horror when I was informed that I had to pay a whopping 170 euros for just four hours of lessons. No matter how hard I attempted to clarify and reason with them, they flatly insisted it was my fault and that I had to pay up.
This company's behavior is nothing short of outrageous. The entire experience has been a nightmare, and I am utterly appalled by their lack of professionalism and integrity.
PS and just to show how shameless this company is, I receive an email with the following - Just a reminder that bijlesaanhuis.nl has flagged your review because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience. You have 2 days left to reply with more information and keep your review online.

I had a very positive experience with Bijles team, they helped me find a good tutor that was exactly what we needed!
Also our tutor is super professional, responsive, always on time, flexible, attentive.
Our child had improved results at school due to this service and we will surely continue using it.

initially we struggled to find a teacher who gave lessons in the afternoon, then the lessons were only available online but the system didn't work, wasting important time for the preparation of the subject. finally we were asked to pay for lessons not done due to an accident (see police report) which did not give anyone in the family time to notify us to cancel. the whatsapp doesn't work well because they always send the same standard response and only under our insistence we were able to communicate. In the end we didn't have to pay for the missed lessons but the system needs to be improved and better monitored especially as regards the choice of teachers
Easy to start.
Booked on-line. Picked a teacher. Set a time.
Easy.
Additionally, we received a call to check we understood the procedure.
Good follow up.
Teacher came and did exactly what we asked/expected.
Perfect.
Hopefully the grades improve as easily :)
