Driving an EV in France for the first time was somewhat intimidating, Chargemap made the experience much simpler, not only at the charging station but before hand with all the educational material they provide. I would recommend Chargemap to anyone planning to own or rent an EV in France.

Works vet well

Chargemap is by far the best and most accepted charge pass in 19 European countries. Simply a must have for the serious EV travellers.

It has worked without fail using it with four different company’s charging stations on French motorways.

Great app! Having one card that works on multiple charging networks just makes it so much easier!

Really useful on our recent trip from Calais to Carnac, Pleneuf Val Andre and back to Calais. I had to use a credit card on a couple of occasions but that was either user error or some charger communication issue. Otherwise, the Chargemap Pass was universally accepted and it was easy to keep an eye on cost via the App and the emailed receipt for each session. Monthly billing is great, much better than loads of traffic on debit or credit card. The monthly invoice is fully itemised and easy to download for future reference. I have a home charger in the UK and public charging rates in this country are outrageous so I don't expect to use the pass much before our next overseas excursion. Vive La France 🙂

Travelled from Brittany to Provence and back using Chargemap all the way and had no problems

I traveled on a two week 2000km tour of northern and western France, using chargemap guiding me too charging stations very well. The only failures were at Lidl charging points which either were not working or did not except the chargemap card for payment.
It is by far the best charging app I have used in 4 years of electric driving, both in uk and Europe.

Had a huge over charge on one of my charging sessions and they confirmed it would be looked into. I haven’t been charged (c€300) which is a positive but my card and account has been suspended leaving me struggling in the South of France to find chargers! Several emails later and still no update on my account or the suspicious charging sessions. Emails ignored despite chasing several times. Horrible customer service! Avoid!!!!!

You standing middle of the night in the rain your other VIP charging card doesn’t work despite several tryouts. The five star hotel and booked dinner with your closing real estate broker waits. Then you remember your ChargeMap card you were recommended for by your CFO. Up with the ChargeMap card from the backside of your RFID wallet and SWOOOOSH my car is charging beautifully.

Worked very well on a Reveo borne that would not accept a sans contact credit card. A game changer.
I would not do without it on a trip through France.

I am a chargemap card carrier and am absolutely dissatisfied with their charges. I am on a trip now and my tesla app took me to a charger with an announced chargemap of 0.29 euros per kwh. Once the charger was finished chargemap charged me 0.60 euros. Again today the same experience and the chargemap amount was higher that what I would have paid for had I used my credit card to pay for the charge session. Their service is worthless.

If you create an account on Chargemap, be aware that you cannot delete the account again without huzzle and buzzle. It took me two days and for emails back and forth to ensure that my accounr was deleted. This is insane.

The chargemap pass works - no problems at all so far here in France.
The map is great and seems to be accurately showing the available charge points.

The card technology is MIFARE DESFire Light. Even though it is intended to be secure, it can still be read or cloned with the proper equipment. I am in Sweden with my card in my possession while someone is charging a vehicle in the United Kingdom on my account. I have used the card only twice, both at the same charging station in Hungary. This means either the charging machine is copying the card ID, or someone is using MIFARE DESFire Light cards with the same ID numbers as the ones Chargemap is issuing. Their support team does not understand the concept of charging credentials being skimmed and tells me to report the card as stolen or misplaced. Moreover, you cannot remove your credit card from their service, which I wanted to do in order to avoid being charged fraudulently.
