Review of HP Instant Ink

Extremely disappointing customer…

Extremely disappointing customer service

I contacted HP via WhatsApp after logging into my account and being shown an offer stating that my printer was entitled to three months free Instant Ink. I simply wanted clarification about the offer and when I would actually be charged if I enrolled.

What should have been a straightforward question turned into an extremely frustrating conversation. The agent was dismissive, sarcastic and condescending throughout. I was repeatedly given conflicting explanations about why I supposedly wasn’t eligible, despite the three-month offer being clearly displayed on my account and continuing to appear throughout the enrolment process.

I explained that I had previously enrolled but cancelled shortly afterwards and never received any cartridges. I was initially told this needed to be investigated, only to then be told that it didn’t matter because I had previously enrolled.

Eventually, I was told to enrol again and that the agent would apply one month free as a goodwill gesture. I was simply asking for confirmation of when I would be charged before entering my billing details.

Some of the responses I received were particularly inappropriate, including:

“how could i help you to benefit with a service you are not enrolled to?”

“unhelpful cause we explained to you that it’s an advertisement ? ???”

“I already confirmed to you in the previous message!”

And, most bizarrely:

“You are dealing with one of the largest companies in the world we don’t need to send you an email if we don’t want !!!”

I found the tone throughout completely unacceptable. At first I brushed myself as a language barrier as an English was poor however it became apparent. They were At first I brushed myself as a language barrier as an English was poor however it became apparent. They were just rude and helpful unhelpful unhelpful and shocking. Being a large company doesn’t mean a customer shouldn’t be able to ask a basic question about billing without being spoken to in this manner.

I ultimately ended the conversation and submitted a formal complaint to HP by email, including the WhatsApp conversation. I also never received a response to my final message in the chat nor the email asking for the chat to be reviewed which was particularly disappointing after the way the conversation had been handled.

I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted an explanation of an offer HP had presented to me and confirmation of when I would be charged. Instead, I was left stressed, frustrated and feeling completely dismissed.

Very poor customer service from a company that should know better. I will never ever use this company again and have issued my chat log for others to see which has had some interesting responses as it’s just so bad!

Review of Tesco

Poor customer service from Tesco

⭐️

Very disappointing customer service from Tesco.

My 70-year-old mum spent around four hours in total waiting on Tesco WhatsApp live chat over two separate occasions, trying to get a simple question answered about her Clubcard vouchers. On both occasions, the agent copied and pasted a response and ended the chat before she could reply. On the second occasion, she specifically asked the agent not to do this, yet it happened again.

We eventually got through to Lesley by email and raised a formal complaint. Unfortunately, her responses were extremely unhelpful and came across as quite rude. She acknowledged that my mum was frustrated about the chats being ended, but didn’t actually appear to acknowledge that ending the chats in this way was poor customer service which was quite unbelievable!

The original issue was also never really addressed. Blenheim Palace’s summer admission price was £35.88, with £41 not coming into effect until 1 September, yet Clubcard customers were given the £41 admission value and this was not displayed until we had redeemed our vouchers. We weren’t asking for a discount or saying the £41 value was hidden; we simply wanted to understand why Tesco customers using their saved vouchers were effectively being charged a future admission value.

Lesley ultimately stood by both the arrangement and the way the customer service was handled saying I was wrong yet failing to explain why - her points were not addressing what I wrote

I have always had good experiences with Tesco, including using other Tesco services - the insurance has been great, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. It certainly makes me question whether Tesco’s customer service has gone downhill if Lesley from complaints feels it is reasonable for two means of communication of be cut off instantly and her very abrupt, unfriendly and overlooking the point response.

Go somewhere you’re valued and not just cut off once the agent has copied and pasted an ai response !

Review of inDrive

HOSTAGE / SCAM in Egypt

Our first experience with InDrive in Sharm el Sheikh was extremely frightening. We agreed a fare of 200 EGP through the app, but when we arrived the driver suddenly demanded 950 EGP, claiming the fare was per person. This had never been agreed. He made it difficult for us to leave the vehicle, and I had to get the door open so we could get out and flag
Down help . We paid the agreed fare and gave some extra just so we could leave . I have reported the driver to InDrive but they emailed back asking me to complete the online form which is impossible as there’s no drop down for UK/england so can’t complete form . Very disappointing and concerning, especially as tourists are being recommended to use this service. I will report this to my rep who suggested we use Indrive ! I also have a large social media following and will be posting this story on there - SCARY!

Very disappointing

After purchasing, I noticed a significant drop and contacted support for assistance. Initially, I was assured the matter would be resolved and that a refill would be provided. However, after chasing for an update, I received a completely different response from Amanda who appeared not to have read the previous email

The support team simply compared my current follower count to the count immediately after delivery and ignored the fact that I had explained I had gained and lost followers through other activity on my account since then. This made their assessment inaccurate and failed to address my actual concern.

The most frustrating part was the inconsistency. One representative promised a resolution (kennels and mike) and when chasing later Amanda contradicted that promise. As a customer, I expected better communication and a more thorough review of my case. I’m going through my bank now for a refund and they will pursue the company

Based on my experience, I would not use this service again and I think this is fraud.

Review of Big Motoring World

Avoid, avoid avoid

Okay, I really do hate giving bad reviews but I have just spent over £14,000 on a car which I collected the middle of December, the experience of purchasing the car wasn’t that great and I’m not sure he wanted to sell me the car as I wasn’t going for finance in which he was very confrontational about why I didn’t want finance and tried everything to convince me - I did eventually buy the car, but as the numberplate was damaged I asked if this could be sorted and then I would collect a week later, I paid the deposit and would pick up a week later. Unfortunately, upon collecting nothing had been done and the numberplate wasn’t fixed. After emailing my concerns I was told that if I wanted to find someone to do it myself they would settle the invoice. I just left it in the end. End of February beginning of March I heard a few ping noises I had previously put it down to the fact I keep a water bottle in the back and maybe that was hitting the chair and would monitor it . I didn’t really think much of it however the noise got louder and louder by the middle of March it was impossible to turn the car without this loud pinging noise and vibration throughout the foot area , I raised it to big motoring world by email on 28th March following a chat with Citroen who told me to go back to the dealership as this is not normal. Citroen also noted an oil leak (I’m hoping it’s just residue but trusted big motoring world would look into this). I called up on 2nd April as I had no response to my email and spoke to a lovely girl who advised me that i need not worry I am fully covered within 90 days and I can get the work done myself up to a certain amount from an AA garage or the big motoring world near me has availablity and will sort me out so I don’t have to wait to be reimbursed! Perfect ! Il get a call back that day! Fast forward two weeks - nothing. I had to raise a complaint to get a very strange copy and pasted messaged back saying someone has sorted the appointment so it’s resolved. Then an email from Sebastian saying I am not entitled to any help as just after 3 months now. Honestly , my experience has been terrible. I am awaiting a final decision letter as if they have now changed their mind from no problem to your own your own then I am confidently pursuing this under my consumer rights and with the ombudsman along with other external channels. The worst customer service in a long time. Chasing and chasing no one cares ! Amanda Coker
