They are literally trying to find every possible excuse not to reimburse you. Even if you’ve been a loyal policyholder for years and have made very few claims, the moment you actually need them, they’ll look for reasons to deny your claim or even cancel your policy.
They refused to reimburse my CT scan and even my blood tests, despite these being clearly included in their preventive care package. It’s written in black and white in their own policy, yet they still try to avoid paying.
Their entire approach feels designed to find loopholes and avoid honoring legitimate claims. The goal seems simple: don’t reimburse customers whenever possible.
I’ll be looking for another insurer and warning others in my digital nomad community. I would never want to deal with this company again.
The monthly premium simply isn’t worth it. Save yourself the frustration and choose a company that actually stands behind its promises.

Hi Idan,
We've already replied to your previous reviews on this topic, and that response still stands. Briefly, though:
Medically necessary examinations, including CT scans, are fully covered under Genki Resident Premium when they are prescribed to diagnose or treat a specific medical condition. A CT scan isn't preventive by default; in most cases, it's a diagnostic exam and, as such, falls under standard outpatient coverage without the limitations that apply to preventive testing.
Preventive care is a separate category. Genki Resident Premium includes it, but whether a specific preventive exam is reimbursed depends on the screening type, the member's age, and the recommended frequency for that screening. These criteria are based on the German public insurance standard for preventive care, which is the framework our partner DR-WALTER follows.
Because of these limitations, members should always reach out to the claims team before scheduling any preventive testing to clarify whether the specific exam will be covered in their case.
If you'd like us to look into this further, please reach out to our support team at help@genki.world and share more details about what has been discussed with our partner. We'll be glad to see how we can help.
Tried several times to engage with their customer service, not being useful (Ravi), seriously over tracking and therefore overattributing, extremely expensive, i'm trying to figure out my options to probably switch to the oldway.

Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to hear from you soon.
I have been a customer for more than two years, faithfully paying my premium every single month. Taking your money is never a problem. However, when it comes time to reimburse legitimate medical expenses, the experience is completely different.
I recently underwent a CT scan and my claim was rejected. Despite providing explanations and following up multiple times, they continue to refuse reimbursement.
What worries me most is not even my own case. A friend of mine consulted a doctor for hemorrhoids and had reimbursement issues because they wanted additional details regarding the classification of the condition. The level of bureaucracy and the number of obstacles placed in front of policyholders is honestly shocking.
My concern is simple: if they are already making reimbursement this difficult for relatively straightforward medical situations, what will happen when you face a truly serious health issue?
Insurance is something you only discover the value of when you actually need it. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with very little confidence that this company will be there when it matters most.
I regret choosing this provider and will be cancelling my policy as soon as possible. Fortunately, I never had a major medical emergency during the time I was insured.
If you are currently comparing providers, my recommendation is simple: look elsewhere.

I could write much more, but I’ll keep it short: this insurance refused to reimburse my CT scan.
A CT scan can be a vital preventive exam, especially when it comes to detecting serious cardiovascular risks early. It can literally help prevent life-threatening events, including heart attacks.
And yet, they refused to cover it.
People should be aware before choosing this insurance. If they refuse to reimburse something as important as a CT scan, what do you think will happen if you need more serious or long-term medical care?
Don’t waste your money.

Do NOT order from Holafly. I ordered an unlimited eSIM for China, and it kept stopping randomly with absolutely no explanation.
I contacted customer service multiple times and spoke with Emma, but she kept repeating the same scripted responses over and over. Totally useless and no real support.
This caused serious issues during my trip. An “unlimited” service that stops working is unacceptable.
I want my money back.

I was recently informed by this company's sales team that they had "decided not to move forward" with my brand, citing volume and expectations as the reasons.
If we truly “weren’t a fit,” that should have been communicated after the initial or second call—not after several encouraging conversations that clearly indicated alignment. What seems to have shifted the tone was their lead time to the U.S.—initially quoted as 5 days. However, once I requested proof of this post–May 2nd (end of de minims), no follow-up was provided. A clear lack of transparency.
Regarding volume: their stated minimum is 500 monthly orders. I made it very clear that our volume exceeds that by more than three times. So from an operational standpoint, that explanation simply doesn’t hold.
As for the mention of “high expectations,” I would assume any professional company sets a high bar for itself and expects the same of its partners. It’s disappointing to see professionalism and clear communication framed as negatives. If this was my experience before working together, I can only imagine how things might have gone after. It seems they may prefer working with less demanding, more passive clients—which, in today’s environment, is both surprising and concerning for any serious operator.
What’s most frustrating is the time wasted—multiple calls, detailed follow-ups, and internal discussions—only to be dismissed with vague, shifting justifications.
As an active member of several 7- and 8-figure merchant communities, I’m sharing this review, so others can make informed decisions. In today’s fast-paced business landscape, no brand can afford to waste time on unclear or inconsistent partnerships.
It's been almost 2 weeks, I'm chasing them to give me my +$1000 they owe as I want to close my account with them. They are holding money money and the worst thing they just don't answer anymore, it is a disgrace, I won't let things as they are, I want my money back!!!

Hi Idan,
Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concern, and it has been addressed under inquiry #111328. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
