Review of Crunch Accounting

Practical, fast, and genuinely solution oriented

Crunch has been a great fit for how we work. The team is responsive and practical, which matters a lot when things move fast and you need answers rather than back and forth. They get straight to the point, sort issues quickly, and keep the whole process simple without making you chase them. What stands out most is how solution oriented they are. Rather than just flagging a problem, they come with a way forward. The platform is easy to use and keeps everything in one place. Happy to have them handling things on the UK side and would recommend them to anyone after a no fuss, reliable partner.

Ethics Missing on the Business Side

Trustpilot shows very little regard for the businesses that use its platform.

From the business side, the process feels one-sided, procedural, and ethically weak. Detailed reports are met with repetitive replies, inconsistent handling, and what often looks like automated communication rather than serious review. The impression is not of a platform trying to reach fair outcomes, but of one hiding behind workflow while ignoring the real substance of complaints.

What is most disappointing is the gap between the principles Trustpilot talks about and the way it behaves in practice. It speaks about trust, fairness, and standards, yet the actual experience feels dismissive, careless, and uninterested in the damage caused to businesses when factual disputes are brushed aside.

For a platform built on credibility, the business-side experience feels far below any serious ethical standard.

Trust in Name Only

Trustpilot wants everyone else to respect its rules while behaving as if its own rules are optional.

The process is repetitive, inconsistent, and often looks automated. Reports are brushed aside, substance is ignored, and the only thing that seems to work efficiently is closing the matter without dealing with it.

From the business side, it feels sloppy, unserious, and completely unworthy of a platform that sells itself on trust.

The Art of Looking Busy

Trustpilot support manages to be both highly automated and strangely chaotic at the same time. The language changes, the format changes, sometimes the emails even arrive in Danish, but the outcome is always the same: no real communication, no real engagement, just time wasted in an amateur process dressed up as support.

More Acrobatics, No Answers

As a business user, my experience with Trustpilot’s review-dispute process has been extremely poor.

My issue is not that negative reviews exist. My issue is that when specific reviews containing disputed factual allegations were challenged, the responses were largely repetitive, procedural, and often failed to address the exact statements raised. Requests for escalation did not lead to meaningful case-specific engagement, and the process felt focused on workflow rather than substance.

Trustpilot presents itself as neutral, but in practice that neutrality can feel like refusal to engage with concrete factual disputes even after detailed notice is given. From the business side, the system appears heavily process-driven and difficult to resolve through normal channels.

Based on this experience, I do not consider Trustpilot’s business complaint-handling process reliable or effective.

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your experience with our review-dispute process. We're sorry it felt overly procedural and that our responses didn't address your specific factual concerns. Our rules apply equally to protect neutrality, but we understand how frustrating a rigid workflow can feel when resolving complex disputes. Review of WorldFirst

Clock Is Ticking, WorldFirst.

Quick update for those following along.
Account frozen. No notice. No explanation. Nearly €1 million held hostage. For 10 days, their own team didn't know why. Then came the document requests - which we answered. All of them.
Then the magic words appeared: "Refund Successful."
Funny thing about that. Stripe - you know, the actual payment processor - officially confirms no refund was ever received. Not a cent. Not a forint. Not a krone.
So where did it go? They know. They just won't say.
The whole experience: lies, misinformation, and complete disorganisation. Escalate to a superior? They go silent. Ask for your account manager? Disappeared. Request a name? "Customer Operations." Everyone hides. Nobody accountable.
They messed up. They know it. Now they're hiding behind templates and silence. Miserable.
De Nederlandsche Bank has been notified. Ant Group headquarters has been notified. Stripe is now investigating. Screenshots documented. Correspondence preserved. Press release going out this week.
To WorldFirst: you know who I am. You know my case number. You know what went wrong. And you know you can't hide forever.
The compliance excuse is over. Now it's about accountability. Clock is ticking.

The Circus That Holds Your Cash.

We are an international ecommerce company. We chose WorldFirst because they market themselves as "ecommerce-friendly." What a joke.
They suspended our account without notice. No email. No call. Nothing. Days of silence while sitting on our money.
Then the circus began. Endless document requests. Every time we provided what they asked, another request followed. All answered. Still frozen.
We asked: what is the legal basis for holding our funds? Silence.
We asked about transactions marked "Refunded" that never arrived. Silence.
We asked for a named contact person. Silence - just generic "Customer Operations" hiding behind emails.
This is not compliance. This is incompetence. Or worse.
We have filed formal complaints with De Nederlandsche Bank and Ant Group headquarters. All correspondence documented and preserved.
If you are an ecommerce business considering WorldFirst: run.
WorldFirst Netherlands B.V. - DNB Registration R161090. Remember that number. You might need it.

Review of Sendcloud

Poor and Overpriced Services

Our experience with Sendcloud has been frustrating and disappointing. We initially had a contract that did not reflect our current shipping volumes, and despite numerous attempts to renegotiate, we were locked into an overpriced agreement that did not match our needs.

Customer support was slow, unhelpful, and dismissive. Instead of offering real solutions, they pushed us to create a completely new account, disregarding the operational challenges and API integrations we already had in place. Other service providers allow simple account updates, but Sendcloud refuses, making things unnecessarily difficult.

Billing issues were another major problem. We were invoiced for incorrect amounts, had to chase refunds, and were charged for services we barely used. Even after agreeing to downgrade, we were hit with extra per-label charges, making the new plan just as expensive. It feels like a deliberate strategy to overcharge businesses rather than providing fair and transparent pricing.

For anyone considering Sendcloud, I strongly recommend looking for an alternative provider with better flexibility, fairer pricing, and more responsive customer support.

Review of Klaviyo

Disappointed by the lack of proactive customer care and flexibility in billing issues

I've had a complex journey with Klaviyo that has left me with mixed feelings. Initially, I was optimistic about our partnership, especially with the platform's capabilities. However, my experience with their billing practices has significantly tainted my perception.

The main issue arose with unexpected overage charges at the end of our contract year. Despite our adherence to the contract terms, Klaviyo did not provide real-time billing or adequate notifications for profile overages, leading to a substantial, unforeseen bill. This was a stark contrast to the quarterly invoices we paid diligently, which never hinted at any problems.

When we raised our concerns, the responses were often focused on justifying the existing protocols rather than addressing our frustrations. Although the team was polite and the management did engage with us, the overall approach felt rigid and unaccommodating. The emphasis seemed to be on sticking to the contract rather than ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.

It's also worth noting that while the platform allows for usage tracking, the lack of proactive engagement from Klaviyo about nearing profile limits was disappointing. We were informed mid-year that there wouldn’t be immediate billing for overages but weren’t clearly warned about the end-of-year accumulation either.

While Klaviyo offers robust features and has potential for great value, their handling of our situation felt more transactional than relational. Moving forward, I will be more cautious and vocal about my experiences, hoping that Klaviyo might someday prioritize customer support as much as they do their software development.

UPDATE: Despite being informed that my case would be escalated and that someone would reach out to me, I have not received any follow-up contact from Klaviyo. This lack of response has only reinforced my frustration and disappointment. It seems that promises of escalation and better communication were just empty words, further highlighting the shortcomings in their customer service approach.
