Octopus won't fix their botched smart meter installation
Octopus installed a car charger in March this year which worked well. In September they decided to replace my smart meter but during the install they messed up the location of the EES and car charging clamps. Initially my EES stopped charging from my solar panels. Two weeks later they sent someone to fix it who admitted he wasn't trained in how to place the clamps. By trial and error he got the EES charging from the solar panels again but then my car charger started draining the ESS every time I charged the car. Although they originally installed the car charger OK, and it worked until they installed the new smart meter, they are strangely reluctant to send someone competent to get it working properly again. It is 6 weeks since the replacement smart meter was installed and all I get now is e-mails from different people with useless suggestions like re-installing the Octopus app.
