Review of The Cornish Seaweed Bath Company
The order arrived fast. I was excited as I've had success using seaweed products to alleviate eczema and this brand is prominent and well reviewed. I chose the eczema bundle and several repair balm pots. The items were nice looking in packaging and quality.
Unfortunately the items didn't work out for me. I have dishydrotic eczema and my hands need intense moisturising to tackle the tough, dry skin. The repair balm was greasy and slid off. My hands felt greasy but never moisturised. It didn't help at all.
The facial oils also slid off my face, even though a tiny amount was used. The Sand one left a green taint to my skin that was commented upon each time I used it, so I've stopped.
The soap is soap - I've rarely encountered a bar of soap that warranted much note, they either smell nice and irritate my skin or smell nice and don't irritate my skin. This one is fine.
The super nutrient oil smelled nice and performed better on my arms and legs (the facial version was again, too greasy). We live in a hard water area and it did help with the dry skin that occurs on arms and legs as a result.
I contacted the company last week to give feedback, as I was asked to. I haven't heard back as yet.
I wanted to share my experiences here as all the reviews I saw before spending (such a lot of) money were glowing and suggesting these products are revelatory. That wasn't my experience, unfortunately.
I also haven't noted any less inflammation of the dishydrotic eczema using these seaweed products, I have with others (some much cheaper, I thought I'd treat myself and try the 'boutique' tier of products and that hasn't worked out for me).

Review of Fairphone
I mean, the concept is incredible. It all looks great and you get your phone and it impresses you, wow! And you feel great for investigating in positive change. BUT my current phone is the 5th FairPhone we've had in our house. Less than a year old and it's had persistent call issues and battery charging issues, which it's had for months and warranty claiming goes round in frustrating circles. We've had a situation like this with almost all of our phones and if we need it fixed we eventually have to send it off overseas which is usually another debacle (we've had phones that won't turn on being declared 'working' and returned to us, and so it goes back overseas... no phone in the meantime... goes on for months).
Decided to buy a usb c and new charging cable in Black Friday sale to see if I can get my current phone working again. Website doesn't work, check out goes round and round and round. That's another avenue for repair frustrated. All in a phone less than a year old.
Truly a circular company, everything goes around in circles, soaking up customer money as it goes.
We've tried to support fairer tech but it isn't fair on the user. We won't be continuing custom with FairPhone. After years of hoping for improvement, and ever slick ad campaigning and irritating upgrades making your nice long life phone feel old and inadequate, we're still stuck begging from repairs we shouldn't need anyway. Enough.
Edited to add: Fairphone's reply about not being able to find a case raised demonstrates how frustrating it's been - we *must* surely be on their system! 🤔

Review of Myriad Natural Toys & Crafts
I've been a regular customer for several years now and I LOVE this little business. It's a family business that gives to its community with care and kindness. Myriad has a big heart! Customer service is excellent, nothing's too much trouble for them to help with. They have a fair exchange policy and staff are knowledgeable in how to make the best creative use of their craft and open play items. Recommend them mostly highly. Myriad toys is a thing of JOY 😊
Review of EcoMove
Ecomove kept me update all the way with excellent communications. The item (Babboe rain tent) was perfect, as expected. Pleased with purchase and the customer service we received. We'd shop here again and recommend to others.

Review of Lakeland Paints
EDIT: this review is me sharing my experience as a customer. This is a business I took my custom to as their ethos was one I very much wanted to support. Prior to purchasing I read other negative reviews and responses here and waved them aside. Unfortunately my customer experience has tallied with those other low rating reviewers.
I contacted the company because something appeared to be amiss. The main issue was simple enough; three different shades of the same colour. Darker on the website, very much lighter from tester pots, darker and different again on the wall (although the latter is explained by the end product being limewash, which is subject to colour variance).
It's become a semantic and baffling back and forth which has begun to feel unpleasant, when all I wanted to do was flag what appeared to be a tester pot issue. I have answered their queries as well as I can and supplied images.
For context: We obtained three different tester pots prior to purchase. We were looking to acquire paint for a floor and a limewash wall. We sampled the paint from the testers we were sent on a standard wall, on our limewash wall, and on paper. We then chose our colours, read the information on the website and placed an order.
Our order didn't arrive so I checked the e-invoice and found two addresses were in the 'send to' section, my address and an address down the road. I have no idea how two addresses came to be there, I'd naturally only inserted my own on the web form.
I was away from home at the time and contacted Lakeland Paints who told me they'd assumed one of the addresses was mine and then sent it to that address (contacting the customer for confirmation, where lack of clarity exists, and checking tech to understand how this had happened would be standard practice I'd have thought, but hey ho).
As I was away from home they sent the courier back to collect the parcel. They then had it returned to them, to be checked, then sent it back out to us. So far a bit odd but they made sure our paint got to us and this was much appreciated.
Then we began painting. The wall paint resembled the website colour tone but *not* the tester pot. The web advice was that tester pots should be used to determine colour as the web colour chart may not be representative.
I contacted Lakeland Paints to let them know something was amiss with their tester. The conversation was rather confused and the technician referred me back to web information we'd already read.
At one point I was offered a new tester pot. I declined as we'd bought the paint already, so this was of no use to us.
Although the wall paint is okay, we can live with the shade despite it not being the one we'd hoped for, unfortunately the floor paint doesn't work with it.
We've wasted over fifty quid on floor paint we won't use. We'd read the website and info sheets carefully before purchase and obtained tester pots when choosing our colours (aware that limewash paint can't be guaranteed, due to its nature).
We shared an image of our tester pot with Lakeland, and one of the colour tone discrepancy with them. I thought they'd admitted the tester pot tone wasn't right (perhaps I misunderstood-?). They then referred us to website information and their disclaimer that limewash paint cannot be colour checked (even though this is irrelevant - the tester pot was not representative of the actual shade, by a long way).
We won't use Lakeland again. It's the attitude towards customer service more than the product itself. I don't feel our custom is valued or that the approach they take to customer support is helpful.
Looking at reviews I can see others have experienced similar scenarios. Hopefully they'll take this as a sign that something about their approach isn't quite right and they can assess and fix it. Such a great product, concept and brand, seems a shame.

Review of UK Baby Centre
I was delighted with both my purchase and my choice to buy from UK Baby Centre. The item was shipped free and arrived well within 24hrs. I was kept suitably updated every step of the way. Was so easy to use the online store and place my order. Just the right amount of information to help inform my decision making too. Highly rated! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Review of The Nappy Lady
The world of cloth nappies has become far more complex since my first child was born, 18 years ago. Thankfully the Nappy Lady has thorough knowledge of everything out there and is able to advise. Prices are fair and good, service detailed, personalised and efficient, and delivery super speedy. Nappy Lady is, without a doubt, the go-to online destination for cloth nappies and can help you build a versatile stash that makes the best out of all options, so you have a nappy stash that really works wonders for you and your family.
Although we decided on a birth to potty system from one company only, we've been able to also experiment with different types of nappy through Nappy Lady's trial packs. This has been an affordable way to problem solve for our 'heavy wetter', trying out various boosters and nappies for a perfect nighttime combo.
Love the Nappy Lady and recommend highly!
Review of DPD UK
Shocking. Currys said would deliver 8am to 5pm. Text from DPD at 6.42am to say they'd deliver before 8am today. No ring on doorbell. Courier gone by 7.15am. Parcel now delivered tomorrow across town at some random shop and I don't drive. Not really a delivery service are you?

Review of Cheeky Wipes & Cheeky Pants
Wipes arrived in recyclable packaging and swiftly. Washed them at 30 degrees on an eco cycle so they were ready for use (just washed the wipes on their own in a new washing machine). Was a bit disappointed that several came out frayed at th edges.

Review of Ultrasound Direct
Friendly, helpful, reassuring couldn't fault our scan experience. Was relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable. Came away with some truly lovely photos to share with friends and family. Clean clinic and was made to feel most welcome and at ease.
Review of Ultrasound Direct
Everyone was very friendly and efficient and answered all our questions. We were given heaps of photos and our experience was positive enough that we booked straightaway for our next milestone scan.
The venue is a little odd, in an industrial estate miles out of town, but it was quiet and private and lots of lovely countryside to explore nearby afterwards.
Review of Rawlins Paints
Staff were really friendly and helpful when things went wrong. Things however slowed when I needed to make returns, which I needed to do because my item didn't arrive on time. It wasn't the fault of Rawlins that the item didn't arrive on time for the job, the courier they use delivered very late. However, the courier caused quite some cost and inconvenience and the company's choice of courier is part of my overall customer experience so three stars, as so my overall experience wasn't great. The company itself seemed attentive and friendly.

Review of Equifax
Although Equifax did pick up the detail of an erroneous default, which I was then able to go to the utilities company to fix and have deleted, it was otherwise diabolical to use and the very slowest to update.
Equifax also seems determined to believe I am not on the electoral register - I am, I checked, and all other agencies recognise this, so I am unsure why Equifax insists on red flagging me for this. I did put in a request for this to be changed, submitted evidence, nothing changed.
If you need help using their service you get redirected to a maze of seriously unhelpful FAQs.
Experian and Transunion were thankfully more reliable and gave me a more accurate score and a much better service.
I cannot recommend Equifax for their service but I will commend them for showing details of defaults and red flags, so you can at least follow them up with companies if these are unjustly put against your name. However, if you need Equifax to investigate their errors, you're stuck!
Review of Fosters Financial
Can't recommend highly enough. Professional, friendly and fair. They went above and beyond and nothing was ever too much trouble. Excellent all round.
Review of Thameswater
Hideous. We're applying for a mortgage and 7 defaults showed up from Thames Water on my credit report, all since I moved out of the property they were billing me for, from an account I asked to be closed.
Two weeks in and I am chasing my tail, being told "ten days... It will take ten days... " Over and over. I get out through to 'specialists' and managers and yet, 'ten days, ten days'.
Meanwhile, we can't apply for a mortgage. If our house sale falls through I intend to take legal action against them.
I'm also going to the ombudsman - companies like this should not be allowed to trade. We don't choose the company and the problems they create are not our fault. Horrendous.
Review of Evri
My parcels get lost using this service. The parcel will say ‘signed for and delivered to addressee’ without saying who signed for it. It didn't come to me or my neighbours so where are my parcels? Hermes doesn’t know.
Review of SerenataFlowers.com
Our small bouquet arrived in a much too large box which was open. The flowers were untidily wrapped in brown paper with a soggy base. Flower heads were broken off and the flowers looked very limp and sad.
Fed this backk to Serenata who asked for photos etc. But we'd already tried to tidy the flowers up and make the best of it so our experience seemed to be lost to them.
Its the first impression that counts when someone receives flowers, then its how long the beauty lasts. First impressions were "oh how sad they are damaged" and "let's save them" can't say yet how long they'll last.
If I'd bought a bunch at a garage the impression would have been more colourful!
