When setting up my second system { don’t understand your meaning }
When setting up my second system, I wanted 2 battery’s in total after the set up.
After the installation of the second system I was informed that the first battery I had was not supported by Solahart. I should have been advised of this issue straight away when I was after a quote. Not after the second installation.
If I knew about this issue I would have seriously consider my decision on a second system through Solahart.
As I had already had the new system installed I had to find the extra money to install another battery to make it to a 2 Battery system I wanted in the first place. If the old battery and inverter were reinstalled to the status quo, I believe the item would have been damaged in some was after the removal. I was not very happy.

Poor customer service
Absolutely hopeless at returning calls. Scheduling of work delayed almost 2 months from initial date offered, partly due to rain but also mismanagement of ordering parts and not having the required safety tools on site.
I was disappointed out of town contractors are used.
Very happy the in-house crew ended up doing the work as they were extremely competent and dedicated to providing a good end product. They also provided quality solutions to all issues that arose while undertaking the work.
I’m very satisfied with the end product and how it is working so far.

Solahart Hot water hell
The Hot Water system Solahart 315L solar hot water storage tank has been an expensive experience. It’s been about 4 years of constant hassle. Our overall (gas&electricity) bills increased significantly since putting it in. It does NOT boost during sunlight, preferring Sunday at 5am. Having monitored our entire electricity system we know It is the biggest drain and the most inefficient. CET is set up, but that’s useless, it doesn’t seem to direct anything.
Be careful if you are considering it. The modelling may look impressive, but the reality is very different.

Administrative Communications. Lack of information on when installations could proceed. Installer arrived at house without any notification (lucky someone home so they could proceed).
System is in and working. Hard to tell in middle of winter system full effectiveness.
Installers were great, friendly, professional and quick.
A more in-depth investigation of power usage would help. After install and monitoring we found hot water system is a huge load over night (5 KW HW system on cheaper (sic) overnight off-peak meter) draining battery quicker than expected. Will address by changing to another meter so heats during day.

Replacement Solahart Hotwater System
Contacted Solahart for a replacement hotwater system for a vacant rental property, once they had my details i received my quote promptly, and once booked in the install was done within a week. The tradespeople were quick, professional and tidy. Great job by all involved.
