SK flight operated by Jettime - very uncomfortable seats on B737 plane

I was supposed to fly with SAS on 9 August from MXP to CPH (SK688), but the flight was "unfortunately" operated by Jettime that evening on their Boeing 737. When I entered the plane, the cabin was extremely hot since A/C was not on. Everyone was swetting and complaining. As other passengeres mentioned in some reviews, the seats on these Jettime planes were rockhard and very tight. The leg space was worse than on any other lowcost company. Even though I (fortunately) had an aisle seat, I was being pushed by the passenger in the middle seat next to me, who was just sitting normally in his seat, so I could not blame him for touching me and pushing me during the entire flight. I was very frustrated. I had to lean towards the aisle during the whole flight in order to create more space and it was extemely uncomfortable to sit like that for almost 2 hours from MXP to CPH. Since I was leaning outside the seat area towards the aisle in order to avoid being pushed and touched by the passenger next to me, I was hit by a passing, overweight crew member several times, who did not even apologize a single time. If I knew that Jettime had such horrible seats and that the flight was operated by Jettime, I wouldn't have booked that SAS flight. I am extremely disappointed by Jettime's staff and comfort onboard.

Outdated systems and embarrassing display from SAS

Booked flight tickets to Japan with my wife, and come to check the tickets a little while later (still several months before the flight date) we find that the full name of my wife where changed to an older one than the one we remember listing on the booking - maybe because it was still the name on the SAS-profile, but NOT the one we entered when booking the ticket.

As there were still several months until our flight we thought we'd just contact SAS to get it fixed easily, we are only talking moving her surname to be her middle name and then entering a new surname.

The first customer service rep says no problem, and that they will fix it right away. The day after we are called up again, a new rep is saying it will cost us 3500DKK to change the surname, the reasoning: we have a connecting flight in Seoul on our way to Japan, and SAS systems apparently can't handle such a change with their flight partners so they'll have to cancel and rebook for the new price. What follows is an awkward and utterly embarrassing display from the SAS agent, practically threatening us that they can't even guarantee this is possible unless we hurry as there are only one or two seats left on the flight and they might get taken before the change is done - nevermind that we already have a seat booked, just with the "wrong" name, completely devoid of logic and unacceptable behaviour.

I've actively been supporting SAS for many years, but no slightly-above average service I've received maybe once or twice will be able to make up for this incredibly poor display from SAS along with a severely outdated system that can't handle a simple name change but yet has no issue with a flight booking at another agency trough SASs portal - sounds more like a shameless cashgrab to me.

I will actively be avoiding SAS from now on and recommend everyone else to do the same. Such behavior and rigid systems cannot be excused.

SAS is no better than low budget airlines

There is still a bit of a myth surrounding SAS - apparantly we tend to think that it´s an airline with more service and better organisation than many of the low budget airlines. True - it´s more expensive,false- it provides better service. Not at all. We send our teenager with YOUNG SAS to and from Bologna and what a total s... show! Huge delays, no communication and no way of reaching any help what so ever. We will never book SAS again.

Most f….. up airline in the world

Most f….. up airline in the world. This review is based on 3 separate flights. Not one went smoothly.

They bump you off prepaid seats at leisure. I had paid ekstra for 4 seats on the 4th row. They bumped us to the 10th row (lower Price)

As the Only airline I am aware of, they have 2 trained monkeys to weigh every carry-on at Heathrow airport. They hassle you for having 1kg of overweight in one bag, even though the combined weight for the two carry-on bags allowed is below the total maximum. I could have moved 1 kg from one bag to another in 30 seconds. “No repacking at the gate sir - So you have to check in your carry-on.”

I understand rules are rules - but honestly people - lets get some perspektive. Show a little lattitude sometimes and try to be fleksible towards the customer, instead of always only to your own benefit.

My ticket included a 23kg. checked in bag, which I didn’t bring along, so it’s not like there was any weight problem. I travelled light because I didn’t have much time to wait for luggage at my final destination. But now thats gone to shit. Thanks SAS.

Stewards on board are notoriously arrogant.

And finally - after taxiing to the runway 20 minutes late, they then discover, that one engine couldn’t start. So now we are expected to be at least an hour late on a 2-hour flight. So we Will miss our next leg with - thats right - SAS.

Great job people.

Simply not a good experience.

If I could give negative I would do so

If I could give negative I would do so, 1st time booked ticket for my mom to travel from Mumbai to Copenhagen. Was very happy however then realised it is a mistake. Firstly the ticket was changed suddenly to another airline from a direct flight to 1 stop over, that is fine as these things happen. But then I needed a 2nd extra language on the oncoming flight however their website did not clearly indicate that the baggage is being booked on which flight as the website displayed both the flight on the same page with a common extra baggage section. I though it is SAS will not cheat so went ahead and booked it, post which I realised that the baggage was on the return flight, called SAS hoping for refund but surprise surprise they can not refund nor move the extra baggage to onwards flight as the oncoming flight is not with SAS. So I have lost 679 DKK for nothing. I had this similar situation 2 yrs agon with another flight and let me tell you they returned all the money and also the customer service is was extremely helpful and understood the situation. Trust me I was so happy to see a SAS flight for my aged mom who travels regular once in 6 months, I though things will be comfortable for her but sorry will never book on SAS again. The flight ticket cost is also not budget friendly and the policies are also very convenient to their benefits. Not sure how rich SAS will be come with 679 Krs, just felt cheated. All those who book SAS flights be careful on how you book your tickets and definitely not recommended for long distance flights for sure.

Delay

The flight was delayed as always! Third time I ve got this company, third time I was late. In this case “only” one hour. They say sorry few times and that’s it. Disorganisation and incompetence define very well this company! Avoid it when possible!

Paying for NOTHING

I am extremely disappointed with how SAS has handled this matter.

After changing my flight to an earlier date, I contacted SAS customer service to confirm whether my purchase of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) would still qualify for the EuroBonus points and the Conscious Traveller step. The advisor clearly reassured me that changing my flight would not affect my eligibility and that I would receive everything I had paid for. Based on that information, I completed my journey expecting exactly that.

Unfortunately, I received neither the EuroBonus points nor the Conscious Traveller step. I have since contacted SAS multiple times, yet the issue remains unresolved, and I have not been offered a refund for a product that ultimately provided none of the promised benefits.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a loyal SAS customer for more than 10 years and have flown with SAS far more than the average customer. Loyalty should mean something. Instead, I feel that my concerns are being ignored and that SAS no longer values long-term customers.

I paid for a service based on the advice given by a SAS representative. If that advice was incorrect, SAS should take responsibility by either honouring what was promised or refunding the amount I paid. I should not be expected to pay for a product that delivered none of the benefits I was assured I would receive.

I sincerely hope someone at SAS takes ownership of this case and resolves it properly, because the level of customer service I have experienced falls far below what I have come to expect from an airline I have trusted for over a decade.

Horrible airline

The airline sells connecting flights but doesn't seem to care whether they actually work. We arrived at the gate 15 minutes before scheduled departure, yet it was already closed — even though the airline's own earlier flight had been delayed. I would not recommend

Never again SAS!!

I booked business class because of my size. However, the seat distance was tighter than in economy flights of normal airlines!!!

In Longyearbyen we also had to stand in line like everyone else. Comment of the SAS: The infrastructure for a separate treatment of the business class would be missing. I could certainly give the apparently very immobile management of the SAS some tips on how this could be done without further ado.

Why did we have to pay more than twice as much for this treatment, the rather poor food and the much too warm white wine? For our small rolling suitcases it only had room far back, so we had to fight our way to the back after landing.

Initially, SAS even wanted a surcharge for the seat reservation when checking in online, but fortunately we did not pay that.

And last but not least, we did not receive a suitcase in Zurich. After a lot of trouble and without clear information, we received the suitcase after three days.

Conclusion: Never again SAS!!

Travelling with small dogs? Be aware that SAS may separate you unless you pay extra.

Travelling with small dogs? Be aware that SAS may separate you unless you pay extra.

My wife and I recently travelled with our two small dogs on SAS.

We have flown with our dogs many times on different airlines and have always been seated together, as we are responsible for caring for them throughout the flight.

On SAS, we were assigned separate seats.

I contacted Customer Service hoping for a practical solution. The consultant was polite and even checked whether anything could be done, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the only solution offered was to pay extra for seat reservations.

We had already paid more than DKK 5,500 per ticket, plus pet fees.

Our request was never about getting better seats. It was simply about being able to care for our two small dogs, keep them calm and avoid disturbing other passengers. They are used to travelling with us and naturally seek reassurance from their owners in an unfamiliar environment like an aircraft cabin.

To make matters worse, all four passengers on our booking—my wife, myself, our daughter and our son-in-law—were seated in different parts of the aircraft.

This review is not about paying for seat selection. It is about making other passengers travelling with pets aware that SAS may separate you unless you pay extra, even after paying premium fares and pet fees.

If this is SAS’ policy, I believe it should be made much clearer during the booking process so customers can make an informed choice before purchasing their tickets.

We are now approaching our return flight on 25 July and are genuinely concerned that we may face the same situation again.

Based on this experience, we will most likely choose another airline in the future.

SAS is by far my favourite airline

SAS is by far my favourite airline.
You get treated well on flights, with tea and coffee. Flights aren't often delayed, or routed subbed out to charter companies.
Unlike Lufthansa or Aer Lingus, when something goes wrong you can actually talk to a human.

Booked vs reality

Booked
Cph 05-07 -> 11-07
First change 11-07 -> 12-07
Second change 05-07 became 03-07
Third change 12-07 - 14-07 (received en route Airport 03-07
No explanation in any changes and the customer service in the airport were not very serviceminded to begin with...we ended up flying to cph with an airline SHIFT to Frankfurt to connect with a different carrier to cph.

I will NEVER fly with SAS again!!

Three flight changes during summer. One day lost vacation and a direct 2.45 h flight to 6 hours non direct with a toddler.
We are hostages of accepting these changes since it’s 20 days to flights, everything is booked and there are no alternative flights.
20 minutes waiting at 18.00 to talk to someone in customer service and no response.

SAS Flight 904: Conflicting Stories, Denied Refund, Closed Case

My experience with SAS Flight 904 and their customer service has been extremely disappointing.
Initially, SAS informed me that my flight had been canceled. A representative later told me that a refund would be issued within seven days due to the cancellation. After waiting more than two weeks, I contacted SAS again and was told that I was on the refund list.
However, on June 13, I received an email stating that no refund would be issued because I had supposedly canceled the flight myself. When I asked for documentation proving that I requested the cancellation, SAS was unable to provide any records.
The situation became even more confusing when another representative claimed that the flight was never canceled, despite the fact that I provided an official SAS email stating that the flight had been canceled. I also submitted flight tracking data showing that the flight was canceled and never operated as scheduled.
I repeatedly requested that my case be escalated and asked for the evidence supporting SAS’s position. Instead of providing the requested documentation, I received an email stating that the case was closed and that no further review would be conducted.
The lack of transparency, inconsistent explanations, and refusal to provide supporting evidence have left me with very little confidence in SAS’s customer service process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend flying with this airline.
