I booked a weekend trip through HolidayCheck with RoomsXXL as the provider. Shortly after booking, I received confirmation emails from both HolidayCheck and RoomsXXL. I wasn't familiar with either company beforehand, but everything went smoothly.

One important thing to know is that it can take 24–48 hours for the hotel to receive and display the reservation in its system, so there's no need to panic.

I was extremely worried after reading some of the reviews, but in my case everything worked perfectly. The hotel had my reservation in their system the following day.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact customer service by email or phone. I called because I was unsure during the waiting period before the hotel could see my booking, and the customer service representative I spoke to was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The price was unbeatable — almost 50% cheaper than on the usual booking websites.

I want to give zero stars, unfortunately that does not appear to be an option. I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at Origin Red Rocks, a Wyndham hotel. Upon arrival there was no record of my reservation. I pulled out the roomsXXL voucher with confirmation and showed it to the man at the desk. He tried many ways to try and locate the reservation. He never could. He offered us a room at what would have been double the rate then told us to try the nearby Holliday Inn. So no room. This was two weeks ago and I haven’t been able to get a refund. They took my money (750.00) yet provided me with nothing. Not sure why they provide confirmation because it does not confirm that you’ll have a reservation. My advice, book direct it may save you from sleeping in your car.

Perfect, no problem

Due to the problems in the Middle East, our holiday was cancelled at the very last moment. I was not entitled to a refund, but RoomsXXL still managed to arrange the cancellation of my hotel booking, and I received my money back.

My issue with roomsXXL is not simply that the booking was non-refundable. I understood that.

My issue is that I was misled by contradictory information and handling, which resulted in a full-loss cancellation.

Due to a medical issue, I contacted the hotel (NH Collection Copenhagen). The hotel confirmed in writing that they could not refund, but they were exceptionally willing to allow/consider a date change, provided the request came through the booking channel (roomsXXL).

Despite this, the process through roomsXXL led to cancellation of the booking. After that, the hotel confirmed in writing that because the reservation had already been cancelled (24 Jan 2026), they could no longer amend the dates in their system.

roomsXXL then continued to state that no positive response / no date change was possible. In my case, that was directly inconsistent with the hotel’s written emails (which clearly said a date change was possible in principle via the booking channel before cancellation).

So to be precise:
this was not just an “unfortunate non-refundable booking.”

This was a case of misleading, contradictory case handling where a value-preserving option appears to have existed, but I was led into a no-refund cancellation outcome instead.

Result: approx. €1,600 lost, significant time wasted, and unnecessary stress.

I am willing to update this review if roomsXXL / profitrip management reviews the documented email trail properly and offers a fair resolution.

Great, no fuss !!

I had never previously used roomsXXL, but the experience was seamless. The booking was easy and the resort offered everything we were expecting it to. It was a good experience and I would confidently book with them again in the future.

Easy to book, good prices, everything as stated, no issues

Great staff, building was not in great condition. Out of date door locks etc.

Very friendly staff, room was clean and well maintained.
15 min. walk to Louvre, Opera.
On the wish list: room was quite small size; bathroom even smaller, yet clean. A small refrigerator would have helped, but hey: where to put it?
City tax: EU5.50/day/person

Your room rate was excellent as compared to the other sites.
