TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Bought a Forerunner 970 watch a month ago (my 3rd garmin watch and perhaps my 6th garmin device in the last years). However, the watch repeatedly showed errors in syncing with garmin connect, hardly uploading my activities.
When requesting Garmin to solve the issue, they only offered a Refurbished watch (when I actually paid for a new one) and subject to receiving first the defective watch first, i.e., requires me to stay without watch to keep up with my trainings for weeks (perhaps a month given I am in Brazil).
A TERRIBLE customer service to their long-time, repeating customers.
Ordered band for instinct 2
Ordered band for instinct 2. Waited 2
weeks. DPD changing loop statuses and package is not being delivered. Requested refund. I need to wait another 15 business days for Garmin package recovery from DPD. Absurd time frame for not delivered product. Garmin produce nice watches but extremely. cut costs on shipping and delivery. Make sense since after purchase they have money and you wait more than shipping from AliExpress in China
Update: Garmin tried to send new order with new band where I explicitly asked for refund, not obeying law (BW 6:230r). I never experienced in my 10 years living in Netherlands such practice.
I would give 0 stars if I could.
Good products but poor customer service.
Good products, but terrible customer service. You would think that for what they charge for their products that the customer service would be way better. I have had tons of issues and contacted them multiple times with no resolution. Shame as I like their products, but I have been having a lot of issues with their Connect app.
GARMIN IS GREAT
I always feel blessed by deciding to buy a less expensive Garmin watch (Venu Square) because when I—very rarely—have an issue with it or question about it it is EASY PEEZY to get a real person on the phone who proves extremely Helpful. Why do other companies not follow their lead? What a better world it would be. They provide service, not just talk about it.
Fenix 7 - Worst watch
I had Garmin Fenix 7 for two and a half years. Fist time it stopped working I get a new one (guarantee), i week ago this second watch also stooped working.
Before I had Suunto Ambit 2 for several years without any problem.
Will never buy Garmin again.
Not suitable for Apple devices
I have an edge 1050. I have just been notified that Apple are ceasing support for devices that work off intel rather than their new (since 2020) Silicon devices. They have previously used Rosetta to do an in-computer translation. What this means is that when Apple withdraw support, Garmin Express and Garmin Connect will no longer connect to Mac computers. Garmin have not developed software compatible with Silicon. Other major bike computer manufacturers have done so.
Total waste of money and time
⭐ Garmin Forerunner Strap Review — Extremely Disappointed
I decided to change the look of my Garmin Forerunner, starting with a black strap and then ordering an orange one. I also tried a pastel green strap at £28 each.
Unfortunately, this has turned into a very frustrating and expensive experience.
Despite following Garmin’s instructions, I simply could not get the replacement straps to line up correctly with the watch. The instructions may look straightforward, but that’s where the simplicity ends. In reality, I found it incredibly difficult to correctly align the straps and pins, and in the process both new straps have been damaged.
I’ve also managed to lose two of the original black Garmin pins, which has added even more frustration and expense to what should have been a very simple strap change.
Garmin’s own guidance says the strap should align correctly with the holes on the device and that the watch pin should be properly secured. Garmin also makes clear that different strap systems, including QuickFit and Quick Release, are not interchangeable. So my question to Garmin is very simple:
Why did these straps not fit my Forerunner correctly, and why was I unable to line them up despite following the instructions?
I have now spent money on two £28 straps, wasted a considerable amount of time, damaged both straps and lost two original pins — all because I wanted to do something as simple as changing the colour of my watch strap.
The financial cost is frustrating, but honestly, the wasted time and sheer aggravation are what annoy me most.
I’m hoping Garmin actually responds to this review and explains what went wrong. At the moment, my experience has left me questioning whether I would ever purchase another Garmin product.
Has anyone else experienced problems fitting Garmin replacement straps to a Forerunner? I’d genuinely like to know whether this is an isolated problem or whether other Garmin customers have experienced the same issue.
Garmin, I’m giving you the opportunity to explain this.
My reviews are read by thousands of consumers, so hopefully this one gets your attention.
Garmin — why won’t the straps fit? And what are you going to do about the straps and pins that have now been damaged/lost as a result?

Products are extremely poor value and fail constantly
Avoid this company like the plague. Their products are of extremely poor value and fail constantly. It is astonishing they charge so much for them. They are most definitely not worth it and you will get limited help from customer support. I bought a Garmin DriveSmart 76 for £229.99 (a ridiculous amount). Within a few months I got the “acquiring satellites” error message (look it up as its well known). They weren’t able to fix it and sent me a “new” one. I don’t believe it was new. I think it was a refurbished one that had also had the error. A couple more months with this “brand new” product and the EXACT same error happened again! All within 9 months of purchase! To add salt to their wound, their initial “solution” was for me to buy a new one for £349 with 20% off! I asked would I get a refund for my original purchase. They said “no”!! They were asking me to pay nearly £600. Truly unbelievable. No wonder they have a poor reputation. I’ve now moved to a car mount and Waze as an alternative. If people are going to use Garmin products, then make it worth the price. I eventually had to fight for a refund which I was given in the end
Poor quality for various functions
Poor quality for various functions. GPS and pulse data, life durability for pulse bands etc. Poor feed back possibilities. There must be much stronger alternatives!
Garmin Cirqa
I received the Garmin Cirqa Fitness Band on Monday and, by Wednesday, I was already looking to return it.
Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The device records my steps and stress levels, but it has failed to track either my sleep or my heart rate from day one. The sensor light on the underside of the band has not flashed once since I received it, which makes me question whether the sensor is functioning at all.
What has been even more frustrating is the lack of support from Garmin. When I contacted customer services, I was initially told that the issue was caused by using another watch alongside the fitness band. However, when I mentioned that I was about to purchase a new Garmin running watch, the representative immediately changed their explanation and stated that multiple Garmin devices can, in fact, be linked to the same account at the same time.
The contradictory advice left me with little confidence in either the product or the support provided. At present, the band is not delivering its core fitness-tracking functions, making it effectively pointless for my needs.
Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend this product.
Disappointing Product Experience
I expected more from the Garmin Edge 530, but it’s been a letdown. While it tracks well most of the time, the map navigation is confusing and often doesn’t show street names. Also, the buttons feel cheap and are difficult to press. Really thought it would be better for the price.
Garmin Fenix 8 Solar
Garmin Fenix 8 Solar. Everything would be fine if I didn't have to mess around with the charging port, because either the charging cable is completely defective or the watch's charging port itself is. I tried cleaning the contacts from moisture and sweat, and I tried changing charging accessories (portable chargers). As for its battery life, when you are doing some activity, it lasts a day and a half—well, it doesn't even last until the third day with GPS turned on to track activities. Since I am going on a tent hike, this gadget is good for recording kilometers, but it discharges very quickly, and when it needs to be charged, it acts up, causing inconvenience and wasting time. For that price, I expected a higher-quality option without technical issues, one where I wouldn't have to struggle with the charging cable, which just wasted 3–4 hours of my time today—hours during which I could have walked 15–20 kilometers and been closer to my goals. So when your helper starts getting in the way and you don't have a replacement, halfway to your goal, you find yourself trapped in the stage of this damn charging cable.
Addendum: After I left this post, the watch turned off completely and wouldn't turn back on when trying to charge it.
Very disappointed with Garmin Belux's…
Very disappointed with Garmin Belux's after-sales service. My Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar developed several issues, most notably random reboots that reset all my settings and the inability to reconnect the watch to Garmin Connect. Despite several detailed exchanges, the support team insisted on treating the issue as nothing more than a faulty button, without ever properly investigating the software-related problems or examining the watch itself. The only solution offered was to purchase another watch (either a refurbished model or a new one at a discount). Even my request to have the case escalated to a supervisor resulted in no meaningful review of my situation. I expected a premium brand like Garmin to provide a proper diagnosis and make a genuine effort to resolve the issue, rather than simply offering a commercial replacement.
If Garmin is willing to seriously review my case, I will gladly update this review.
Awful customer service
I purchased a Garmin watch expecting reliable fitness tracking and good customer support if something went wrong. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.
My watch previously recorded treadmill runs within an acceptable margin of error, but it suddenly began under-recording distance by around 50% under the same conditions. This wasn't a case of expecting perfect accuracy, it was a significant deterioration in performance from how the watch had been working previously.
I contacted Garmin support and provided multiple examples showing the issue, including activities where the watch recorded only around half of the actual treadmill distance. Despite this, I repeatedly received generic responses about treadmill calibration, arm swing and GPS calibration, none of which addressed the fact that the watch had suddenly become much less accurate.
One support agent acknowledged that the change in behaviour was unusual and said they would look into a potential resolution. However, the next response simply linked me back to the same help articles and offered me a 20% discount on an additional heart rate monitor costing over £100.
Being told to spend more money to work around what appears to be a fault with a watch that previously worked correctly is not an acceptable solution.
What has disappointed me most is the customer service. Rather than investigating why the watch's performance changed so dramatically, Garmin has repeatedly relied on scripted responses while ignoring the evidence I provided.
I expected far better support from a premium brand. Until Garmin properly investigates the issue and honours its warranty obligations, I cannot recommend either the product or the customer service.
Useless satellite communicators and customer service
Using the inreach for job purposes but it's not at all easy and user-friendly to use and the customer service is completely useless!

Bought a vivoactive 6 26 days ago I had a swimmer over take me in the pool cause of me to collide with the wall a very minor collision may I add. It in turn has chipped the glass and cause water to ingress into the watch rendering the watch useless. Gorilla glass brakes from a stubbed finger essentially. Went into the Southampton store and was told your on your own, or you can pay half the value of the watch for a new one, to be sent out once we receive your old one or full price with half a deposit to be sent back once they receive my old one. This is completely unacceptable with it being 26 days old I take very good care of my belongings. I bought this watch to track training sessions for triathlons the I compete in for charity there has been absolutely no humility towards my situation. Strongly do not recommend Garmin products.
Lack of respect for customer
Absolutely shocking customer service! I ordered a watch on the 20th and was expecting to get my order shipped in 1-3days, as stated on their website. I contacted support to ask for an update and they nonchalantly told me that it will be sometime in July because the product is not in stock and a date is unknown. This was never disclosed when I made the purchase or was I sent a follow up email to make me aware of this. They thought it was normal for a customer to wait 2-3weeks and hope that they'll get their order...coming from an established company this is unacceptable.

Ordered watch for son's birthday with 24 hour delivery on 22nd June. Still not arrived on 26th. UPS saying now Monday 29th when we are away on holiday.
Contacted Garmin they wont cancel and refund. Have to go find wherever UPS dump it and send it back. Lots of hassle for me caused by Garmin and their crap courier UPS
Two failed Venu 3 devices in months, Garmin has zero customer retention.
After 5 years of flawless reliability with a Venu 2, I trusted Garmin enough to pay for an upgrade to the Venu 3. It has been a total disaster. Within months, I have been plagued by two consecutive, fundamentally unstable Venu 3 devices suffering from identical, critical faults including completely dead screens, false emergency assistance alerts that caused massive distress to my family, and total Bluetooth pairing loops.
When I reached out to customer support (Case Ref: 31661252K1), the first agent and the subsequent escalation representative provided nothing but scripted excuses that "technology is not perfect." Garmin flatly refused to offer a goodwill upgrade to a stable model to remedy their own sequential hardware failures, proving they view loyal, long-term customers as nothing more than numbers on a spreadsheet.
I have officially exercised my legal right to reject the goods under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and demanded a full cash refund. I will be taking my business permanently to a competitor that actually understands customer retention and basic product reliability. Avoid the Venu 3 & Garmin.
