We visited the Meadowhall store today around 8.30pm. The young lady, we didn’t catch her name, was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond to help our teenage daughter choose a school coat in the... See more

Excellent service and advice from Josh…
Excellent service and advice from Josh at the Castleford branch. He made sure I got the boots that were right for my feet and level of ability.
Polite, professional and knowledgeable. Clearly knew his stuff and didnt at all feel pressured into buying the most expensive boots.
Excellent service
Excellent service: I purchased a new rucksack and needed help. Ben in the Covent Garden store gave me good advice and took a lot of time and trouble to ensure I purchased the correct model of bag.

This retailer shouldn't use DPD for delivery and their customer service should be open on weekends. Missing parcel, DPD phantom delivery, then pushed the date back every day since while promising they would deliver each day.
Retailer customer service has been in contact only once , despite having to chase each day saying similar things.
Again , no weekend service.
If they didn't have retail stores I would think I'd been scammed with how awful my experience has been.
Unresolved complaint.
Manchester Deansgate
Staff are usually very helpful indeed at this branch. However, today, I felt somewhat invisible at the store, despite lots of staff and a minimal number of customers. Basically, I ended up purchasing my two pairs of Hokkas from their nearby competitors.
Patient, knowledge, helpful…
The guy who helped me choose a new pair of boots was excellent, patient, knowledgeable, helpful. If we had an Ellis brigham shop in South Wales, it would be my default go to.
Lovely store
Lovely store, staff are very helpful and friendly. Lots of good quality clothing. Have already made a repeat visit.

Unmatched customer service from Chris at Braehead. Won't be going anywhere else for anything ski related.
I’ve never left a review before
I’ve never left a review before, but I had a brilliant experience visiting your castleford store on two separate occasions to get my 2nd hand ski boots fitted correctly. As a complete beginner the whole experience was very welcoming and I value the advice given. My boots now fit perfectly. Thanks Tom 👍👍
Very poor Click & Collect experience.
Very poor Click & Collect experience.
I placed Click & Collect order #xxxxx on 4 June for collection from the Covent Garden store. The items were shown as in stock and I expected the order to be ready quickly.
Instead, the order remained stuck in “Processing” for weeks. I contacted Customer Services, visited the Covent Garden store in person, and the store staff could not even see the order in their system.
After I raised a formal complaint, Ellis Brigham acknowledged in writing that the delay was caused by an internal system issue which meant the order had not downloaded properly and was not processed by the store.
Even after that, the problem was still not properly resolved. Customer Services later told me that the Covent Garden store was still having technical difficulties downloading the order, and that the store would contact me. Nobody from the store contacted me.
The most frustrating part is the lack of ownership. As a customer, I should not have to chase Customer Services, visit the store, and coordinate between different parts of the same business just to find out whether my paid order can be collected.
I would not recommend using Ellis Brigham Click & Collect unless you receive clear written confirmation that your order is actually ready at the store.
The Rolls Royce of Retail
The Rolls Royce of customer service and product knowledge. First class on every metric, and far superior to the competition.
I visited the Ellis Brigham store in Keswick looking for a pair of approach shoes, having carried out some research online beforehand and selecting three options to look at and try.
The first competitor store I visited was okay and friendly, but seemed in haste to close the sale. The second competitor store was dreadful, staff too busy chatting, and they did not even make eye contact with me.
The third store was Ellis Brigham Keswick and what an absolute pleasure it was to find someone who listened to me, gave great advice, had expertise and product knowledge, and took the time to make sure I had everything I needed to make the right choice.
Retail perfection. Thank you for all your help, taking the time, the advice, and assistance.
Store was spotless, staff were polite and friendly, good range of products, and product knowledge was first class. Highly recommend Ellis Brigham, Keswick store.
Good knowledgeable staff
I visited the Cambridge store on Saturday 20th June, specifically for Merrell walking shoes. I was pleased by the polite and knowledgeable service I received. I went away happy with my purchases and the experience in store.

Just popping back with follow up on the Meindle boots I bought following excellent fitting and advice session in October 25. I've just walked the Hadrian's Wall Path in 5 days and not a hint of a blister or even a rub. Excellent purchase and really good advice.

I visited the Fort William branch on 20th June and purchased a pair of trekking gloves to climb Ben Nevis as I had forgotten at home. A lovely gentleman had helped me and I didn’t even pick up the receipt when leaving as was keen to get climbing. Unfortunately one of the gloves had a hole in which was very sad for my climb however I returned the next day to exchange them as they are the best gloves I have come across and the same gentleman was in store. They didn’t have any more in stock so he sent a pair to my home in the south of the UK. I didn’t catch his name however he was beyond helpful and kind. Thank you so much!
Really good advice
Really good advice and help with different walking boots.
Hiking boots
had an appointment for fitting of hiking boots. Excellent, knowledgeable assistant who was very helpful and let me take time to really try out each pair. Excellent selection in my size .
Excellent service & advice on bouldering shoes
Excellent service from the team at Ellis Brigham Cambridge.
I've now visited twice for advice on climbing shoes, and on both occasions the service has been outstanding. In particular, one member of staff (I believe his name may have been Seb) was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable.
As a climber himself, he was able to provide expert advice, answer all my questions, and guide me through the different options without any pressure to buy. He even arranged for specific shoes to be ordered in so that I could try them on before making a decision.
I spent a considerable amount of time trying different shoes and seeking advice before purchasing, and throughout the process he remained friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Thanks to his guidance, I felt confident that I was choosing the right shoes for my needs.
A great example of excellent customer service. I'm very happy with my purchase and would happily recommend Ellis Brigham Cambridge to anyone looking for climbing equipment and expert advice.
Quality customer service, Manchester Branch
Quality customer service from the Manchester branch, (attended to by a young lad with blonde hair forgot his name) helped me with different options and tried them all on, gave me reccomendations and sized my feet up for the right boots, left satisfied with a pair of la sportiva tx5s 👌
Great staff
Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me pick new pair of boots
Chester store - top rate experience - climbing shoes
We visited the store in Chester and were super impressed by the service. We were looking to buy climbing shoes and the chap who served us (didn’t get him name but he was a keen climber) spent loads of time with us making sure we could find the right shoe. His knowledge was first rate and would 100% return to the store in future. Thankyou
Absolutely wonderful staff
Absolutely wonderful staff at the Bristol store! They had infinite patience as I tried on every snowboard boot in the shop, taking the time to talk through all the features and make sure I ended up with the perfect fit. I am so impressed with their knowledge, and their passion for winter sports shines through. I’m incredibly grateful for the help, and can’t wait to hit the slopes again.
