ALDI SÜD Reviews 

I just returned from Germany and while I was in Peiting I went to Aldi many times. I loved a French blue cheese and the crackers that I bought there and I returned to purchase it several times. The cheese was creamy and tasted very nice. I also left my bag there and it was returned to me because of their efforts. I also found the cashiers to be patient and friendly as I am Canadian and don't speak German fluently. The last time I was there, I saw the manager clearing up a mess that was made when a specialty coffee had dropped on the floor. The lady who dropped it offered to pay but the manager refused to let her. That left me with a very positive experience. I consider Aldi to be a place where I would shop and I recommend it to others.

Hurray! Price of the 4-layered toiletpaper went down to 3,95 euro’s for ten rolls.
Only to come home and see a single roll has now only 160 instead of 180 sheets…
So price went down but so did the total number of sheets adding up to more than one roll per package.

I got into a very humiliating situation in one of ALDI branches. I’ve been shopping in market and put the things I want to buy on the conveyor belt. When it’s moved the bottle of wine fell and broke.I was ready to pay for it anyway. The cashier girl smiled caustically like she was happy it happened. The other stuff came to me, gave me paper napkins, bucket and said to clean it myself. So while I was cleaning other clients was waiting me to finish cleaning and I had to clean on all fours ( i was not given mop even, just paper napkins) and the staff was just watching me cleaning. I’ve never seen a customer clean liquides off the floor. Moreover, I have knee problem and the position I was cleaning gave me extra pain.
I thought maybe its normal in Germany and didn’t insist to call other staff to clean it but then I spoke to my German friends and all of them are saying that this situation definitely is not a normal thing. I don’t know maybe that was done to me because I’m foreigner and not German. Would I be behaved same way if I was German citizen? I’ve been very upset and for the first time in my life I felt what the racism really is.

I love to shop in Aldi. I got everytime what I want and the prices are always the best.

I recently purchased a pair of shoes here in Mainz, Germany for my son who is 2.5 years old. They turned out to be so bad that they started wearing out within 10 days. Now it has been close to a month and it looks like they will tear up completely very soon. I never expected such bad product from this shop. It is known for cheap but quality products. A similar thing happened with the winter shoes as well which I purchased from here. But then I attributed it to wet and snowy weather which caused the damage, although it should not have been so. But this time the way these shoes have turned out, I have lost all the remaining trust I had in their shop.

Aldi once and forever.

The Cassier was really rude and unfriendly at the aldi Isselburg today . I was in shock the way she talked to me .

I haven't used the website too much yet but the store is wonderful. Cheap but high quality. I get almost all my groceries and clothes there.
