I love the fence! Works flawlessly. The only thing I'd love to see is being able to have narrower borders at times. Because of the broader warning areas I have to be a little more creative at creatin... See more

SpotOn GPS Fence gives dogs the freedom to roam and owners the confidence that comes with truly reliable containment. Designed, engineered, and supported in the USA, SpotOn is the original GPS-powered virtual dog fence and continues to set the standard for accuracy, reliability, and performance. At the core of SpotOn is patented True Location™ GPS technology, which corrects for common GPS issues like drift and signal interference. With the launch of the new Nova Edition, that technology takes a major leap forward—leveraging best-in-class hardware, industry-leading accuracy, and all-new smart features to deliver even more consistent containment in real-world conditions, based on over 5 million hours of real-world dog movement data. Using the SpotOn app, you can create custom fences in minutes—no wires, no digging, no maintenance, and no subscription. Set boundaries as small as 1/3-acre or as vast as you need, even in remote areas with heavy tree cover. As your dog approaches a boundary, the collar delivers clear, fair alerts through tones and vibration that trigger precisely when they should. You can also track your dog’s location in real time, right from your phone. Backed by real human support, SpotOn is built for people who want dependable technology, thoughtful training support, and freedom that works in the real world.

1. The battery is totally inadequate.
2. There was an update sent out, but would never download onto my collar, despite following the instructions to the letter.
3. I can’t set up enough inclusion zones.
4. I’m looking at collars designed for Livestock Guard Dogs that are made to stay with a herd using virtual fencing, that will be substantially less expensive and do a better job.
This collar is working very well for my dog. I really like the activity feature so I know how much exercise he is getting on a daily basis.
On off switch is terrible. Also battery life while tracking is terrible.
The collar works great and I love the tracking app. It was easy to set up and the few times I reached out to customer service, they were all friendly and helpful!
We have a very young active chocolate lab who is loving living in the country. With this fence she has her bounderies and loving it. She chased a neighbor's cat and stopped short even before the caution sound. She is one happy dog now.
We wanted to like the SpotOn and have tried diligently. It’s just too spotty with the line drift. It’s essentially unusable. We will be returning the collar

SpotOn makes every effort to support customers. The few questions I have are always answered quickly and with the opportunity to ask additional questions that arise.

Tara after 3-4 weeks if training is now responding very well with her spot on collar
We are surrounded by deer and wildlife here in the Catskills where we just moved from city life .. having this collar has been a great relief
As she s a German Shepherd and her instinct is to herd and chase .. we did adjust the collar to level 10 and the minute she gets to close to the ravine and woods she turns around and comes back . So I’m very pleased with that
Thank you

It works and it is easy. Of course, it helps if you have a wicked smart puppy!

Not worth the money spent.. Fences float a bit and doesn’t seem to ever really correct my dogs course most reply on these just to track my dog which I could have done for a lot cheaper.

The battery life, wish it lasted longer. Like 20 hours. Ours seems to last like 14 to 16 hours. And when traveling away and the dog with a sitter I would like to have better real time check up none of this sorry weak signal. I had cell service and it would take forever to connect and when did had a hars time. For the cost can be better.

I love the SpotOn collars. They are pricey but work really well. I love being able to change fence if I need to. Only problem I’m having is collars are barely a year out and are already losing battery life.

We love Bella’s collar she is a stubborn young boxer but caught on quickly. Every time I have called about features on the collar I have received quick and accurate explanations. We decided to add the plan to be able to track her and it was easy and spot on ! I also love the call dog feature she has come home every time!

The collar itself is quite heavy and cumbersome. Seems to track decent. My dog is 45 lbs and considered 'midsize', for reference.

My dog's learning curve is still in existence, but she is improving quickly. I was hesitant to turn her completely loose in my back yard for two reasons. One being the very busy highway which runs down on side of my property, the second is her attraction to chasing rabbits off the property. Fortunately the rabbits are inclined to run into the brush away from the highway. I still go out with her but I no longer carry a leash with me while we play or just wander around.
The collar and the software are both excellent, although I have occasionally been caught off guard by the amount of shift in the boundary. I expect the technology will improve over time and possibly the bulk of the collar will diminish. On a twenty pound dog with a small neck it is a bit heavy and does not form a nice circle around the neck.

Great software! The fence is accurate, the tracking is really nice, and the training program worked amazing. Our dane was unruly this past year and got in with the neighbors goats and the other neighbors sheep. Thankfully he's too slow to keep up and get one but an escape artist none the less. We had too many holes under our fence line from coyotes to make the fence perfect year round. The spot on collar really made a big difference. Many months of no escapes and he's been shocked just a couple times when he tested the boundaries early on. Since then smooth sailing. We couldn't be happier and our neighbors appreciate seeing him stay in our fields.
