My experience since joining NRMA in 2020 has been positive. I now have 100% of my insurance requirements with NRMA something I have never done before in my life. I feel confident the company is genuine and there competitiveness across all my vehicle and home insurance requirements has proven to be a money saving experience in my situation. I have done everything online and found it to be a positive experience in general

Absolutely terrible customer service. Our car was involved in an accident that the police attended and declared us as not at fault. Called NRMA and on their end they decided we were at fault. We were then without a car for 3 weeks while we had to prove to them that we weren’t at fault. Had to pay for the police report ourselves since they refused. Finally the internal disputes resolution team actually looked at all the evidence and declared us not at fault. We have our car back repaired and now get a phone call from nrma claim team stating they have changed the liability to us at fault. According to asics regulatory guidelines this isn’t legal. They won’t give us anything in writing about this liability change and instead call us to bully us into accepting it. The toll this ordeal is taking on my family and continues to take is a disgrace. How can they ignore a police report? They don’t seem to understand road rules at all. Have now taken to AFCA.

The best price when compared to other insurance company’s. And the setup off my insurance was easy and simple for me. So thank you.

I had an excellent experience with NRMA Insurance from start to finish. The customer service was outstanding, and the representative I spoke with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made the entire process simple and stress-free. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that values its customers and provides such a high standard of service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend NRMA Insurance to anyone looking for reliable insurance backed by exceptional customer support. Thank you for making the experience so easy and positive.

Went to get a quote for my motorcycle that is insured comprehensively with NRMA through the app and got directed that I had to phone them to get a quote. So then I phoned them to get the quote and went through the whole process which I thought would be quick and simple as the motorcycle is in their system and then got a quote which I was happy with and paid for the CTP on the spot. Then I could re-register my motorbike through service New South Wales, which the NRMA part seamed to be a little bit harder than I thought, but nevertheless, it was completed. Then the next day I get an adjustment to my green slip saying that I have to give them $211 extra as there was an error made by them in their entering. Did not even get a phone call or any consultation prior to receiving this update/ demand for additional payment. So now my green slip is $755 plus $211 which equals $966 and when I put it in compare green slips, it comes up that NRMA should be $858 so every which way I’m being ripped off not happy Jan so now I need to see if I can cancel that slip and go with someone else. What a stuffed up experience thank you NRMA.

Take your business elsewhere. No common sense from staff, heaven help you in the event of a data matching error. Greedy insurer more than willing to inconvenience you to make a few extra dollars.

I have never had such a terrible experience with an insurance company. This has been, by far, the worst insurance experience of my life.
No one provides any real support. I’m constantly being told that someone will call me back or resolve the issue, but nothing ever happens. It’s been over a month since I opened my claim, and I’m still trying to get my car repaired because of the lack of communication and accountability.
The whole process has been incredibly frustrating, with constant delays, misinformation, and no one willing to take responsibility. The level of miscommunication is unacceptable.
I would not recommend this insurance company to anyone.

I feel insurance is insurance but for a younger P plate driver I found CTP insurance through NRMA to be one of the cheapest,I’ve never needed to claim but if I do I hope it goes as good as it does in the advertisement.

Service was impeccable, professional, polite and personable, ring before you go to a branch, prices are different on the net than when you get there.

Excellent service and peace of mind!
The team was incredibly helpful, professional, and made the whole process seamless. They explained my options clearly without any pressure. While you never want to use insurance, the outstanding support I received gives me total confidence they will stand by me if I ever need to make a claim

I went online to add insurance for newly purchased vehicle, and cancel insurance on car traded in. Just by accident I noticed a sizeable discount ($150) for signing up before the end of the month.
I confirmed all my selections with a real life assistant to assure I’d ticked all the boxes. Dino was great, and so knowledgeable about the process.
Thanks so much NRMA. New car is fully insured, as well as diary reminder when my next Green Slip is due.

I had been a multiple-policy holder with NRMA Insurance for over 30 years. In anticipation of purchasing a new car, I sought a quote for comprehensive insurance with the policy start date as 18 June. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to pick up the car from the dealership until 19 June (24 hours later). I called NRMA from the dealership to activate the policy and they advised me that the exact same policy, for the exact same vehicle was no $315 more due to their 'dynamic pricing'. I complianed. They refused to honour their initial quote, citing their 'dynamic pricing' policy. Subsequently. I cancelled every NRMA policy I held, went to a competitor, and saved myself over $1,000 per year. I will never be an NRMA customer again. An organisation like that is not one you want to trust your insurance with.
UPDATE: I note that NRMA have replied to my review, but their response is little more than trying to give readers the impression that my situation was somehow an oversight or a 'glitch'. It was not. The complaint number was in my original post so if they were genuinely wanting to speak with me, they have my details. Further to my initial review, I should add that upon withdrawing all my policies from NRMA, I obtained quotes from Youi, Allianz, Suncorp, QBE, AAMI, and GIO. For the same cover (or in some instances, superior), every single one was cheaper than NRMA's original quote (before they inflated it by another $314 in 24 hours). So, I guess I should be thanking them, as ultimately, they have saved me thousands of dollars. So, don't be swayed by their retention offers of 'multi-policy discount', loyalty and such. In truth, you're going to get better value from somewhere else. And, do you really want to deal with an organisation which actively looks for ways not to honour their customers when it comes to your insurance.

I have multiple NRMA policies. I did no research and wanted simple new comprehensive car insurance quickly.
Website crashed. Lost the 10% online discount. Unable to get it back.
Telephone call layered over one hour with helpful staff who couldn’t do anything online effectively or quickly.
I only went with NRMA because I have multiple policies. May move them all….

To all you complainers, pull your heads in!! I’ve been with NRMA SINCE I was 17 and I’m now 70 and NEVER had an issue with them!!! They may not be the cheapest but in a society that expects everything for nothing, you will soon learn that you get what you pay for!!!

I went to the marrickville shop front in the metro, as the wait on the phone was very long. Best decision i have made, service was impeccable.
I am an existing customer and wanted to change over my car insurance to my new car. Fantastic service.

Got a quote for new car with start date 10th. Moved it to the 8th and the annual premium went up $120.
Went to youi got $140 less than og price. I will price all the rest of my insured items in the next few days.
I was also charged twice for the care a couple of months ago, which I can agree they refunded quickly

Their refund process is ridiculous. I paid them online with a bank transfer - they sent me back a cheque 14 days later - is this the 1970s ffs?
