Shysters
Shysters. Avoid. Terrible company. Promised same day delivery then rang back and said couldn’t do delivery. They hung up before could sort refund. Very hard to arrange refund. Still trying but they hanging up or blaming the hold up on other agents.
Flowers were delivered late and looked…
Flowers were delivered late and looked wilted. Told they’d given me an update because of the late delivery - it was a muesli bar! Wish I’d read the reviews before wasting so much money with this company.
disappointed with purchase
I’m very disappointed with my recent purchase from Mel’s Flowers\. I ordered two deluxe bouquets at $120 each for a memorial service, so I expected them to be beautiful, substantial, and closely reflect what I had ordered\.
Unfortunately, the bouquets I received were not what I ordered and, in my opinion, looked more like inexpensive $40 supermarket bunches than deluxe arrangements\. Given that I paid $240 in total less 15% for first order, I was extremely disappointed with the quality and value\.
This was for a very important and emotional occasion, and I expected the flowers to be something special\. Sadly, they did not meet my expectations or represent the value I paid for\. I hope Mel’s Flowers will take this feedback seriously and consider how disappointing it is for customers when a premium arrangement is not delivered as ordered\. When I rang to complain it was ‘bloomer’ that answered\.
Good experience
I recently attempted to send some flowers to a friend in a very remote town. Mel's Flowers Australia took my order, then realised that the flowers would arrive in most-peak condition due to the length and mode of travel required.
They reimbursed my money, for which I am grateful.
Thank you .
No delivery at all
No delivery at all. Informed when I phoned that they had no stock and it would arrive in a week. Still waiting for the refund.... I realised too late that they have the same stock photos as Bloomex - also a scam company. Probably the same company. Should have read the reviews first.
How are they still legally operating
How are they still legally operating? They had an enforceable order from federal court of australia in 2024 - they had an expose on ACA in 2023. They are still doing exactly the same thing that they were exposed doing by ACA and the court. We should seek rectification from the federal government for allowing this to continue.
Late delivery.
I ordered a flower arrangement for delivery on a particular day. The flowers arrived 4 days late, the recipient was no longer there and the flowers were in very poor condition.
After making a complaint, Mel’s Flowers/Bloomex agreed to send another arrangement. Three weeks later and multiple emails to confirm delivery details, the second arrangement has still not been dispatched.
This business should not be allowed to trade. Zero stars!
Very bad
Very bad , not a legitimate good company . They are very difficult to communicate with . They are not same day delivery at all . Do not use company
Do NOT use this company
Do NOT use this company. Classic flower broker trap.
Ordered flowers for a time-sensitive delivery, only to get a phone call saying they couldn't fulfill same-day delivery after I paid. When I immediately asked for a full refund, they refused and offered a ridiculous 20% refund plus store credit for a service they failed to provide. Complete scam. Avoid at all costs — I've had to file a bank chargeback to get my money back.
Ordered flowers for delivery to friend…
Ordered flowers for delivery to friend in hospital, didn't deliver on day specified. The courier called my friend the following day and established she had been transferred. I contacted them on 23 June. After 5 emails and 2 phone calls, they responded on 1 August and wanted to charge me extra to redeliver. When I said redelivery was not possible because having spent nearly 5 weeks in hospital, giving them ample time to redeliver their original failed delivery, by the time they responded, my friend was off travelling again. They then refused a refund. After much argument I raised a PayPal dispute and got the refund. Mels Flowers are part of Bloomex. Dreadful service and no taking responsibility for their error.
Ordered and paid $112.90 for advertised…
Ordered and paid $112.90 for advertised 50 roses deluxe. Was delivered in a brown box, only 11 by Star Track! I could have gotten a better deal from Coles or Aldi! Contacted Mels Flowers. They said they can't do anything! Such a rip off! Misleading, false advertisement and extortion.
Promised Flowers, Sent a Cheap Hamper Instead
I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.
I ordered flowers for a friend in the Northern Territory and paid in full. After taking my payment, I was contacted and told flowers could not be delivered to the address. I was offered either a hamper or store credit. I specifically declined the hamper, and because I needed the gift delivered to the NT, a store credit was not suitable.
The company then emailed me confirming they would still send the flowers and refund my delivery fee. I accepted this solution.
Instead of the flowers they promised, my friend received a small hamper containing only four inexpensive grocery items (Vita-Weats, a small packet of Pringles, biscuits and crackers). This hamper wasn’t even listed on their website, and it was never something I agreed to purchase. To make matters worse, my friend couldn’t even eat some of the items due to dietary restrictions.
When I contacted Bloomex to explain that they had not supplied what was agreed, they initially refused to provide a refund. Only after I continued to pursue the matter did they offer to send flowers after the fact. By then, the special occasion had already passed, and I had completely lost confidence in their service.
The biggest issue wasn’t that something went wrong it was that the company made a written promise to send flowers, failed to honour that promise, and then expected me to accept a completely different product instead.
Unfortunately, after reading other customer reviews, my experience doesn’t appear to be unique.
I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
Do not buy from mels flowers (bloomex)
This is an absolutely shocking business. Flowers were delivered late, missing the anniversary date. What was delivered was nothing like advertised. Do not buy from this company. You are better off buying flowers from a petrol station.
Flowers delivered four days after they…
Flowers delivered four days after they were supposed to be.
Packed upside down in box and totally dried out. Dead
The recipient had already left for the funeral.
Operator said they had talked to the recipient- lie.
Offered $20 or $35 credit on a $109 order.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Service totally poor.
Product absolutely pathetic.
Also misrepresented on Google search. Said they were located in a place that they definitely weren’t.
Do your research. Find a local florist.
Support local business not these scammers
Ordered flowers for my daughter’s…
Ordered flowers for my daughter’s graduation delivery didn’t show up and at 5 o’clock that day received an email stating that she wouldn’t receive them until the following week she still not receive them. Poor service no response no refund.
Scam website
. Absolutely disgusted with the service from Mel’s Flowers Australia. I spent NZ$100 on sympathy flowers for someone going through a difficult time. After waiting three days, I was told they could not find a local florist to complete the delivery and was offered a “gourmet gift hamper” instead.
I was shocked when it arrived. The hamper contained a few basic snack items that looked as though they would cost less than NZ$10. It was completely inappropriate as a sympathy gift and nothing like what was advertised.
This was not only disappointing, it was embarrassing, especially given the circumstances of sending condolences. I feel completely misled and would strongly advise others not to use Mel’s Flowers Australia for flowers or gift deliveries.
Zero stars
Zero stars. Do not support this company with your hard earned money. The product they show you online is a beautiful arrangement of freshly cut pretty flowers and greenery. What is delivered is a drooping bunch of weeds from a cow paddock. After numerous complaints from myself and emails back and forth they blocked my emails. I approached them again differently and was offered a $20 store credit. I paid $97 originally, which was to include a card (no show) and extra charge for same day delivery (arrived 7.00p.m.). I am so totally disgusted with this company and their inferior product.

One star is way too flattering - dreadful
One star is too much. Dreadful, dreadful service. Ordered a floral arrangement/hamper for an 80th birthday gift for 30 May - arrived 3 June. It was an'OK' bouquet of flowers, a packet of water crackers and an empty jar. The recipient didn't know how to respond. I have been in continual communication with this mob trying to rectify the situation. There have been many messages saying it will be fixed.......... waiting! 28/07.......waiting! 'Oh, we are out of stock' ....... of what? Water crackers? Empty Jars? Outraged after a month of trying to be reasonable I finally got onto a human who treated me like a fool. Nearly two months now so I'm finally letting loose however I can. I wish I had seen the other reviews because they are damning. This is one shonky dog - stay clear.
Absolutely rip off
Absolutely rip off, should be zero stars. Took my money then stated flowers couldn’t be delivered due to a logistics problem, please!
Never heard of flowers unable to be delivered due to logistics!
Shame on you
