I strongly advise people NOT to use MostPDF.
I only wanted to compress a PDF file and reduce its size. The website asked me to pay €0.10 for the service, and I paid through PayPal. However, the next morning I discovered that I had been charged €49 for a subscription that I never knowingly signed up for.
I was never clearly informed that this small payment would lead to a paid subscription or an automatic charge. I did not want or request this subscription, and I immediately contacted customer support to ask for a refund.
After looking at other customer reviews, I noticed that many people reported similar experiences with unexpected subscription charges.
Be extremely careful before using this service. Always check the payment conditions and subscription details. Based on my experience, I strongly do not recommend MostPDF.

wanted to resize one PDF file
wanted to resize one PDF file - googled on 'free resizing PDF" and came to Mostpdf, in no time it was organised. Then I got the message to pay 10 cents - and decided to do so. Next day I see 49.90 Euro has been taken from my account. I contacted my bank, they could do nothing, advised me to contact apple Pay, this guy helped me to stop the subscription which I seem to have accepted and advised me to write them about EU regulations to be allowed to discontinue without extra costs within 14 days. Which was also written on their website. I did, the email returned undelivered, but after a few tries I got an answer: Thank you very much for reaching out to us. We completely understand your request for a full refund and truly appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns with us. Your case is important to us, and we have already submitted it to our higher management for further review. As a full refund requires additional approval, the evaluation process may take up to 7 business days. While we will do our best to advocate for your request, please understand that we cannot guarantee that a 100% refund will be successfully approved. We sincerely appreciate your patience while we work on this for you.
In the meantime, we would like to offer an option that is available for immediate processing, in case it may help bring you a quicker resolution:
We can arrange a partial refund of 50%.
Your subscription benefits would remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, allowing you to continue using the service without interruption.
Additionally, we assure you that no further charges will be made to you in the future.
We hope this optional arrangement may serve as a helpful alternative while your full refund request is still under review. Please rest assured that our goal is to support you and make this process as smooth and considerate as possible.
If you feel comfortable proceeding with this option, simply reply to confirm and we will handle it immediately.
Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and the opportunity to assist you.
Warm regards,
Customer Service Team - I told them if they can refund 50% they can also refund 100% - no management interferance needed as it;s in their and EU-regulations. Guess what, money has beer refunded after a few more emails.
Scammers - but the nice ones
I should have read the reviews before, the same happened to me, payed 0.10 to compress a PDF and then found out they were charging 49.90 for a full monthly subscription. That's totally dishonest.
HOWEVER, after contacting their support, they answered me really quickly, canceled the subscription and refunded it to my credit card.
So I think that, among the scammers, they are the nice ones? 😅

The website does NOT state that with using the tool will sign you in on a subscription that costs €49,90 a month!
Do NOT use mostpdf..!
Scam
Scam! They ask 0.10 for a pdf conversion. 24 hrs later they unauthorized charge your card with €49,90
Huge scammers
Huge scammers. They tell you to connect your creditcard for only 0,10€ to combine your pdfs. They secretly save the details and sign you up for a subscription of 49,90€ a month. Who pays that kind of money for combining pdfs? They also haven't send a subscription confirmation. They should lock these people up.
Dear TurboPDF Support,
Dear TurboPDF Support,
I am writing to formally complain about an unfair charge on my account.
I visited your website with the simple intention of merging a few JPEG files into one document. During the process, it was clearly stated that the service would cost only €0.10. Based on that information, I agreed to proceed.
I have now discovered that I have been charged an additional €49.90, which I find completely unacceptable and misleading. At no point was it made sufficiently clear that I was signing up for an expensive subscription or any recurring payment.
I feel that I have been misled into this charge, and I request an immediate cancellation of any subscription and a full refund of the €49.90 charged to my account.
If this issue is not resolved quickly, I will consider reporting this matter to consumer protection authorities and my payment provider.
I expect your prompt response and confirmation that this charge has been reversed.
Bad experience
I only authorized a 10cent payment for one pdf. The next day i get an email stating “The EUR 49.90 payment with EUR 0.10 fee has been successfully processed.” I never agreed to this. Very misleading
Terrible experience
Terrible experience, scam indeed. I was using it to combine my pdfs into one. Later the website showed the payment of $0.10 for that used tool, NOT saying anything about sign up and subscription stuff. A day after, I got charged $69 for that bullshit membership, which I never need. Absolutely scam.
This is a big scam
This is a big scam. Don't use it. They will steal your money.
Stay away from this website
I was about to pay the €0,10 I was asked for to merge some jpgs into a single pdf because I thought it was a fair deal.
Right before paying I noticed the Paypal button wasn't "pay" but "subscribe" so I opened the cart and noticed I was about to subscribe to a service that would have cost me €0,10 for the first day and then ~€40 per month.
THIS WEBSITE IS A TOTAL SCAM.
