I ordered a 10 inch and an 8 inch pan with lids. The pants are fantastic. The only problem was the 8 inch pan didn’t have the rubber gasket on the handle. I contacted a course. I sent him a copy of my receipt and a picture of the pan top they came back and said they couldn’t find my order and never got back to me. Please help all I need is the rubber gasket on the handle of the 8 inch pan lid so that the water doesn’t leak into the lid.

We’ve had our Okura cookware for about a week. So far we love it.
We did receive one pan that was dented, and a replacement is on its way.
Three of the pot handles were missing the silicon gaskets (the stuff that goes between the glass and the handle), and replacement gaskets are also on the way.

Beautiful and high quality pots & pans

The pots are beautiful and high quality. I’ve bought a few pots and pans from Okura so far. However, I did have to return a pot due to sending me the wrong size. The team are good at communicating and resolving your issues if there’s any problems.

I want more!

I was recommended Okura through a friend and I am absolutely in love with these pans, knowing we are not ingesting horrible chemicals through the cooking process. I want to get some more!! Quality is exceptional and service throughout the purchase experience was so helpful and pleasant.

Couldn't recommend this enough

Couldn't recommend this enough! I've always wanted Japanese crafted cookware in my kitchen, and Okura didn't disappoint. It has a lovely, balanced weight, holds and spreads heat evenly, and looks beautiful on the stovetop. Every time I cook with it, I'm reminded of the Japanese restaurants I've loved over the years. It's a solid choice for every dish. Highly recommend.

"Non-stick"

"Non-stick", with every pan is a lie. I don't consider it non-stick if you need additional oils or sprays to keep food from sticking to the pan.

I am happy with the look, feel, and the lack of chemicals on the pan's surface.

Happy Camper

I did a lot of research before my purchase, I discovered several companies selling similar pans. I decided to purchase from Okura because I kept finding it rated higher than most others.
I followed all the instructions and was totally satisfied on the first use. After the second use with no problems, I ordered 3 more that will completely replace all the coated pans in my kitchen.

There is a learning curve

There is a learning curve. You must follow directions. The first 2 "cooks" I had sticking issues, however, after the pan got it's groove, the clean up is so much easier now. Trust the system and give it time. We'll worth the purchase price.

I love how they show and eggs sliding…

I love how they show and eggs sliding on the pan with no oil or butter don't believe it your eggs will stick terribly unless ithey are drowning in oil. One other thing they're supposed to be all titanium well if you put a magnet on the pan it will stick and titanium and magnets do not stick together.

Reply from Okura Cookware

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your honest feedback, and I'm sorry your eggs have been sticking. That's not the experience we want you to have.

About the eggs: Okura pans have a titanium cooking surface with no chemical coating, which is what makes them a healthier choice. Because there's no coating, the non-stick performance comes from seasoning, and it builds up over the first few uses. A well-seasoned pan needs much less oil, and eggs release far more easily once that natural layer is in place. Our step-by-step seasoning video shows exactly how to get there: https://youtu.be/fGR3Rw8eIUI

About the magnet: great question, and you're right that titanium itself isn't magnetic. Our pans are made with three layers: a titanium cooking surface that touches your food, an aluminium core that spreads heat quickly and evenly, and a stainless steel exterior that makes the pan induction-ready and built for years of daily use. It's the stainless steel exterior that the magnet sticks to, while your food only ever touches the titanium surface.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me directly at aiko@okuracookware.com. I'm always happy to help.

Happy cooking,
Aiko, Head of Customer Satisfaction, Okura Cookware

Disappointed

I'm having the same issues as Jenn. There is more discoloration and sticking then I expected. I could get the same performance from a much cheaper stainless steel pan.

The customer service is great they…

The customer service is great they answer your questions and check on your order. I truly notice a difference in the the taste of food cooked in titanium compared to stainless steel. And as long as you get the pan hot enough it really is non stick. Really happy and the prices are better than other titanium brands

Okura received my order immediately, confirmed my address was correct because I paid with paypal. They shipped it within hours after I placed the order. And sent me another discount code if i decide to make another purchase. It all went well.

I am quite pleased with the Okura…

I am quite pleased with the Okura rolling knife sharpener. My only negative comment is that the angled holder is a bit unstable and the height of small or large knives needs to be adjusted to line up the blade with the rolling sharpener. But that said the sharpener works well and delivers a very sharp edge, at least good enough for cooking uses. My only other comment is that it takes a while to arrive from overseas, about three weeks to arrive in California in my case.

What a great pan

What a great pan. The construction is top notch and the feel is amazing. The only drawbacks are that you should include some instructions on how to properly cook with the pan as it is different but there were videos on YouTube to explain. It would be better coming from the company. Also would be better not to have to assemble. Okay for me but not everyone. Still it's a great product.
