⁷Poor experience overall. Not at all as expected. Please see my Product Review Australia. Main points:

Zero customer service during or following trip.
Zero duty of care re passenger safety boarding ship in Cambodia on Mekong river as 'Some other ship got our berthing spot'. Elderly and infirm passengers forced to decline a steep hill holding on to a rope, slipping and sliding. At least two people injured themselves
Excursions not as expected and certainly NOT as advertised on TV. Dull, dirty, gloomy to non existant. Often not available as scheduled on itinerary at all at last minute due to a show of hands situation on bus. If others on the tour don't want to do them as they have done them before, your scheduled tour may not happen. Unbelievable!
Accommodation not as booked, spent over two weeks in single beds even tho' requested double. Contacted HM before trip as realised they had allocated wrong bed configuration. They said they rectified the situation which they didn't. Entire trip single beds. Just too hard for them to deal with.
Not all guides great but most were .. many a pain re BIG tipping ezoectation. We are big tippers but pressure was on!!

I could go on...don't use HM if you expect a degree of prefessional integrity...won't happen! Once holiday has begun, it's all over.

Very well organized with good choices

Booking process was relatively easy, Nicholas was pretty prompt on replying and answering phone calls which I was happy with.
Only issue I had was the confindence of locking in a different return date (within the sixty days) and it not costing us any more.

Great trip. Very well organised. Would of preferred one guide for the whole trip, but the three we had were amazing....especially Leo in Hoi An.

The ease of booking our trip & all ran very smoothly from the transfer to the hotel, the tours that were covered in the package & transfer to the airport a delightful holiday

Once again it was totally amazing!

Our cruise on the Victoria Mekong for 8 days was amazing. Everything from the boat itself, the staff and especially the food was all first class. We definitely would highly recommend this company.

On our 10 day tour of Sri Lanka we had a fantastic tour leader who worked very hard to ensure that we had good time and the best view of any attractions. Our accommodation was excellent and couldn’t be faulted. The trip was well thought out and we saw a lot of Sri Lanka. Our driver was top class and certainly knew his way around. Overall a great experience.

Holiday Max planned our tour very well. Airlines kept us in touch of any changes as well. We had tour guides meeting us at the airport to transport us to an amazing hotel close to many amenities. Different tour guides were with us along our whole journey, explaining about the areas we were in and how both Vietnam and Cambodia are moving forward and how both their government and other countries are helping them.They endeavoured to show us as much as possible without feeling too much pressure. Food at all the different restaurants, hotels and on board our cruise ship was great. Our cruise experience was also amazing. Everyone was so good in meeting so many needs. Wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed our holiday overall. The included food was great, and we found the included tours to be informative and interesting.

One thing we did notice, however, was that the itinerary seemed quite busy, with something scheduled most days. On some days, we felt we travelled quite a long way to see relatively little, which made those days feel a little rushed.

We would have enjoyed having a little more free time built into the itinerary to relax, explore the local area ourselves, or simply enjoy the hotels and surroundings.

Overall, we had a great holiday and appreciated what was included. We just feel that allowing a little more downtime, and perhaps reducing some of the longer travel days, would make an already enjoyable tour even better.

The hotels we stayed at were very good. The hotel in Saigon was right in the middle of everything. This hotel was a huge improvement to the hotel we had in Saigon last year, when we did the HolidayMax Mekong cruise.

Easy to arrange & responded to enquiry in a timely manner.
