I'm Michael from Bray. I got my installation June 2025, so have them 12 months. It was a great move on my part, over the year, we producing 50% of our usage plus micro-generation, our electric bills are drastically down. The actual installation was completed in less than a day, no mess, good crew of lads. The only qualm i had was the leadtime on installation, but the install was done on the day specified on ordering. Overall, good quality, excellent customer service, i know it's a bit of an outlay, but I will be worth it in no time.

Neat and tidy installation completed by Activ 8 staff with no issues. System up and running at the end of the install.

Absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Their customer service is horrendous. Once they get your money they couldn’t care less if you are happy or not. They put the battery in a place I specifically asked for it not to be put as I wanted to eventually have a skylight put it. They didn’t do what I asked and quoted me nearly €2k to move it. They should just move it at the own expense as they did not honour my request to begin with. Trying to liaise with them on the phone and email is a nightmare. They do not care and just want more money. Absolutely would not recommend.

Very efficient in installing the solar panel system and very helpful in sorting any arising problems.

Very happy with the process from the initial contact to the installation crew. The installation was quick, professional and the crew were knowledgeable.
The only small negative that didn’t affect anything really was that I changed the order a few weeks ago and it seems the change wasn’t communicated effectively through the departments.

I would recommend activate they kept all their appointments. The staff was very helpful and everything was completed on time.

Really happy we went with Active8. Very professional operation. One team worked on the roof while another team did what needed to be done inside. Everything is very neat.
A small fuse box next to the main one. A switch and box next to hot press for hot water. Everything else is out of sight in the attic.
They arrived at 8 am and were in and out by lunchtime.
They even hoovered the place before they left.
Great workers and we are able to see what we are using and what we are sending back to the grid on the app.
The solar panels are Irish made too. Happy customers.

I would definitely recommend Activ 8.

Really don’t know what to make of this company, asked unnecessary questions totally unrelated to a solar installation that I chose not to answer. Then, told that my property didn’t meet conditions required to install panels - this totally contradicted surveys carried out by a number of other registered/certified installers, two of which are linked to utility providers. Have gone ahead with another company who have successfully installed similar system configurations within my estate. Bizarre, I can only assume Activ8 cherrypick the work they wish to undertake.

In response to activ8energies.com reply 13/07 - as stated in my review, questions asked were totally unrelated to a solar installation, they were not quality, safety or design related. Furthermore, this statement from activ8energies.com ‘ Our assessment process is designed to ensure that every installation is technically suitable and complies with our internal quality, safety, and design standards’ does this imply that those installers who carried out in-person surveys at my property are less focused on their quality, safety and design standards and that their installations are not technically suitable?
