“Extremely Disappointing Claims Experience”
My experience with Privilege has been extremely disappointing. I made a home insurance legal-protection claim concerning an RX3/property-title issue and submitted the claim in writing on 13 July 2026. I received no acknowledgment or substantive assessment and had to repeatedly chase Privilege. Privilege subsequently acknowledged that there had been a significant delay.
The claim was then declined, and I formally disputed that decision in writing. I have also had continuing difficulties with the handling and recording of my correspondence, including having to repeatedly correct Privilege's understanding of my complaint and its chronology.
Accessibility has also been a concern. I have explained that telephone communication is not accessible to me and require written communication, yet I have continued to encounter difficulties obtaining a clear and direct written means of communicating with the person handling my complaint.
I have found the overall process unnecessarily difficult, time-consuming and distressing. I would expect an insurer to communicate clearly, handle correspondence accurately, provide timely updates, and give a clear and properly reasoned explanation when declining a claim.
