Having returned to TomTom after 10 years, I cannot register my new unit because the system won't accept that I have a new unit. It wants me to log in with another account. I have one email address, so what the heck are they asking for? It was their software that changed me to a Garmin unit and I bitterly regret going back.

Balbir took my call and dealt with it in a professional yet friendly manner. Apart from the irritating delays in the phone system - 20 minutes to get to someone, about 15 minutes to gat the initial problems dealt with and then a promise of a call-back from a different department (we'll see how that goes...) I was impressed by his pleasant attitude and unflustered demeanor while dealing with me. Top marks

Interesting that they can jump their prices by 33% after one year of a no-claim policy. They are still marginally cheaper than the conglomerates, but a 33% hike to a pensioner seems rather a lot...
