Review of FableRoom
I am very pleased with my bedside tables, pre ordered. They are solid wood and came in very good condition. I preordered them in January at a very low price and they arrived in June, but worth the wait. I did get a bit of discount because they were a few weeks later than scheduled. I have since painted them from distressed white to antique white and they’re stunning. The only issue was the box in which they were delivered kind of had a strong smell, so I wasted not time getting rid of them.

Review of Epson
This is my first time using an Epson printer, having been recommended by ChatGBT and what a nightmare to set up on the wifi. I have still not been able to use my ET-2860 because apparently the company removed a component that enables a Mac to read the printer device to save cost to them. Clearly, customer experience is not a priority for them, so their passing on the headache and inconvenience to Mac uses. If you need to urgently printout documents, you might consider using a printer that works well with a MAC and avoid an Epson.
Review of ao.com
I'm really happy with AO's service. I had builders round this week and it was so helpful to be able to have a speed delivery. Thank you so much. The customer service was excellent when I initially ordered the wrong type of oven hood. It was cancelled for me and I was able to order the right one. Many other providers had a longer delivery date that didn’t work for me, so thanks again!
Review of Activate onDemand
I ordered a Ring Doorbell from Activate OnDemand on 21 December 2025.
I immediately noticed that my door number was missing from the delivery details and contacted them. On 23 December they acknowledged in writing that the address was incomplete.
Despite this, on 28 December they said the parcel had been delivered on 26 December. I was at home at the time stamp provided and nothing arrived, so I contacted them and my bank, who refunded me my money. This company demand confirmation of receipt multiple times and each time I said no, I had not received the parcel.
On 30 December Activate OnDemand again confirmed in writing that the address was incomplete and that, because the courier service was “addressee only”, the parcel could not be redirected and would have to be returned.
On 6 January they confirmed in writing that:
I was at home,
The parcel was not received,
The person who signed was unknown and unauthorised,
My bank had refunded me,
No further action was required and the case was closed.
However, after formally closing the case, they reopened it and contacted me again on 15 January and again today, stating that the courier had “confirmed delivery to the correct address” and implying that I was responsible.
The so-called “proof of delivery” image they relied on was clearly not my property. The photograph was taken inside a house, not at a doorstep or external entrance, which makes it irrefutable that the delivery was not made to my address.
This experience involved:
An admitted addressing error,
A mis-delivery,
Multiple contradictory delivery claims (including different named recipients),
The case being formally closed and then reopened,
Attempts to shift responsibility back to the customer for the company’s own error. I have placed multiple orders with different delivery companies over the Christmas period and none of them went missing except this one.
An important fact in this case is that Activate On Demand used DPD as the delivery service, and with past deliveries, DPD has always notified me with alerts of a delivery on the day. In this instance I was unaware that they were delivering the parcel until I received the email from Activate on demand on 28th December that it had been delivered th on the 26th. I certainly did not receive the "delivered" alert that delivery companies issue after they have delivered an item, so this seems like a red flag to me.
The repeated contact after the matter had been closed felt unreasonable and distressing. Based on how this was handled, I would not recommend ordering from this company, who offered their services through my bank's discount offers.
Update following company response:
Activate OnDemand have since acknowledged that the handling of this case fell below their standards and have confirmed that a refund was processed on 30 December, which I was only aware of when my bank alerted me and also reversed it back to them, since they had already refunded me. However, the core issues remain unchanged: the address error was admitted, the parcel was mis-delivered, contradictory delivery claims were made (including an internal photo that was clearly not my property), the case was formally closed on 6 January, and then later reopened with responsibility implied on my part. These inconsistencies and the reopening of a closed case are the central reasons for my review.
Update:
Dear Justin,
Thank you for taking the time to investigate this fully and for your clear acknowledgement of the errors and assumptions that led to the mishandling of this case.
I appreciate your apology, your confirmation that the delivery was made to an address that was unequivocally not mine, and your assurance that the matter is now closed and will not be pursued further.
I also appreciate that you have reviewed your internal processes and taken steps to prevent a recurrence for other customers.
On that basis, I am content for the matter to be considered resolved.
Kind regards,
Joanne

Review of Marks and Spencer
I wanted to share a recent experience in the hope it helps Marks & Spencer improve its systems.
I tried to purchase a hooded dressing gown, as it's so cold and mine needs replacing. I first attempted to call my local branch to check availability so I can decided whether to go to Epsom or Kingston. The phone rang unanswered for a long time, and as I was out already I had to leave without speaking to anyone. I then travelled to the Epsom store in person, where staff were helpful but did not have my size and suggested ordering online instead.
I loaded funds onto a prepaid card that I regularly use successfully in M&S stores, only to discover at checkout that this card is not accepted online. I did ring customer services and they said their systems do not process the prepaid card online. I asked if they could send the dressing gown to my nearest store, so I can go and pay for it and they said they are unable to do that. This meant I could not complete the purchase and would now need to physically travel again to find a branch that has the item in stock in order to use the balance. So Marks and Spencers is putting the onus on the customer rather than providing customer satisfaction.
The core problem is the lack of accurate, customer-visible, real-time in-store stock information for clothing. If I had been able to see which local store held my size, or if payment limitations were clearly stated upfront, this would have saved time, travel, and inconvenience.
In an era where inventory systems and AI-driven stock visibility are commonplace, I would encourage M&S to review:
1, Real-time branch stock transparency for apparel
2, Clearer communication of accepted payment types online vs in store
3, Better phone accessibility for local branches
I offer this feedback in the hope it supports improvements to what is otherwise a respected and trusted retailer.

Callum was exceptionally hands-on, helpful, and professional in addressing my queries and finding effective solutions. He was always willing to assist, going above and beyond to ensure everything was handled smoothly. I’m truly grateful for his outstanding work and excellent customer service. Although there was a fee involved, in my case it was absolutely worth it.

Review of Jones Bootmaker
The staff at the Ashely Centre are very professional, helpful and they made my shopping experience a delight and that's why I've given them a 5 star review. I had to return a pair of shoes in December, as they were a bit tight. I couldn't find the receipt but the staff found the email copy - thank god I signed up for their email :-) I had gone without the shoe to ask and they said yes. When I went back with the shoes, the sales attendant had already had the paperwork/ my receipt ready for me. It was just lovely and personal. Needless to say, went back there to buy another pair!! Good customer services keeps you coming back.
Review of Bluehost
I'm experiencing an ongoing issue with cPanel not updating my business emails to my Outlook account. This problem occurs intermittently. After consulting a technical expert, I was advised to contact my business email provider as the issue seems to stem from the DSN, which can be affected during web host updates.
This evening, I reached out to Bluehost customer service to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, during the first call, the representative went silent mid-conversation, leaving me hanging. This happened again on my second call, and it became clear that the responders lacked the technical expertise needed to address my problem.
On my third attempt, I specifically requested to speak with someone more knowledgeable. As expected, I had to repeat the entire issue each time I called, which was frustrating given the apparent time constraints the responders were under. The last representative I spoke with asked me to hold while she transferred my call. There was a brief moment of hold music, but then it went silent again, leaving me uncertain whether I should continue waiting or if the connection had been lost. After a few minutes, I decided to hang up, as previous calls had shown that silence meant the connection was likely lost.
Given the amount of money I pay for their services, I expected a much higher standard of customer support. It's disappointing to see a decline in the quality of their service, especially since they were much more customer-focused in the past. Needless to say, I'm done with their abysmal customer service and will be switching to a hosting provider that prioritises its customers.

Review of E.ON Next Energy Ltd
E.ON Next has really been a great blessing to me over this period of rising energy costs. I joined them before the pandemic and I've found that the'y've genuinely tried to help with suggesting, cheaper tariffs to help before the first rise in cost and even when I had chosen an expensive one in anticipation of rising costs last October, when a cheaper tariff became available that I was unaware of, they moved me on to it and this has helped with my energy bill. They are helpful with useful information on their site and on the phone and I'm so pleased I joined them. My experience with them has been a breath of fresh air when compared to my experience with some service providers who are aggressive about making profits at ones expense.
