Expert Cruise Consultant

Deanne has successfully reserved our choice of cabins for two cruises in 2028 and also we booked another with her for July 2026. She is extremely knowledgeable and empathic to the needs of disabled travellers (my husband is a full time wheelchair user). She is a lovely person and willing to share her expertise- I have no hesitation is highly recommending her to you.

CPS Cruise Parking - update

We recently returned from a P&O Cruise on Britannia and had parking as part of our package. My husband is disabled so we made CPS aware of this before arrival.

On return to the dockside, I was supported in the terminal to load my cases onto my trolley. I was able to push the trolley to the key collection point. One of your stewards asked me to ‘abandon’ the trolley (my husband in his wheelchair is not able to manage it) whilst I collected the car key. I was concerned to leave the trolley unsupervised. However, I collected the key and then asked one of the ‘marshals’ for some assistance to load my cases whilst I helped my husband from his wheelchair into the car. Again I was refused any support with a comment’there are only two of us here’. The man stood and watched me struggle to get everything into the car. We were one of the first passengers off the ship so staff were not busy!

I found the whole experience both disappointing and embarrassing and it was a most unpleasant and unprofessional end to my holiday.

I have pondered whether or not to raise this but felt the need to try to avoid another disabled passenger experiencing similar issues.

I sent this directly to CPS over a week ago but haven’t even had the courtesy of an acknowledgment.

Update
I am delighted to say that I have had a full apology from CPS who have indicated that they have spoken to their duty marshalls and expressed their apologies for the unnecessary distress caused. Thanks to Sarah Moat who took the time to write to us.

Smart Meter - Go Electric Tariffs

I was persuaded to move to a smart meter in April 2021 in order to access a dual peak off-peak tariff for my electric vehicle. Since that time the smart meter has not shown the electric readings on my app. In May 2021, I was advised that the meter needed a software update before it would allow dual readings to be made. I am still trying to persuade EDF that this needs the meter to be replaced. Coincidentally, a subcontractor came to my property yesterday from EDF to fit an isolation switch so that I can have a new car charge point fitted . He advised that my current meter is not compatible with a off-peak/peak tariff. I have spoken again to several members of the EDF team to try to get this resolved. I have been told that this software issue should now be amended but I am not convinced .

Unable to remortgage following loft insulation …

To be fair the work done was without issue but we have now been refused the possibility of remortgaging due to the Icynene foam insulation we have had installed in our loft. I initially posted my review back in June and was persuaded by Justin Perry to remove it in order for him to investigate my complaint. However, there has not been a satisfactory resolution and two further mortgage brokers have failed to secure an alternative mortgage citing the insulation as the reason. This situation was also highlighted on BBC’s Rip Off Britain - have a look on iPlayer (Series 13, episode 1 and in the Telegraph item published recently.)

This is my retirement bungalow. However, the advice appears to be that if I wanted to sell, I would need to have the product removed / allow a £20k reduction in value to provide a new roof. Proceed with extreme care everyone!

The surveyor was very aware that it was Icynene - in fact we had two separate surveys done, both with the same result. We were advised that the foam insulation was an automatic exclusion. Although things may change, that doesn’t assist the current situation unfortunately.

I have provided the requested written evidence to HomeLogic.

We are still no further forward so not sure what more to add?!!

Excellent - highly recommended

We used the Dam Health clinic for our pre-flight test in Mijas. Took the test at 10am and got the results by 1pm. I also booked a Day 5 test to Release in Newcastle - again a smooth, faultless process. I would have hesitation in using them again - unfortunately I went with another provider for the day 2 and 8 tests…..the difference in response is incredible. Well done Dam Health!!

Avoid!!!!!

I foolishly ordered tests this morning and had a confirmation text. Now I cannot get back into my account despite trying to reset my password - when it resets, it says ‘access denied’. Now cannot get through by phone…..currently been on the line for 50 minutes only to hear an apology for an extended delay. This does not bode well…..avoid!!

Dear Sir/Madam

We welcome all feedback so thank you for leaving your review.

Sadly, a number of reviews have transpired NOT to be genuine customers and/or we have NOT been able to identify them and hence, been unable to support them.

As a result, we have introduced a new customer quality service protocol, and as such we would kindly ask that all genuine and/or identifiable customers leaving a review (and who wish to receive a response and resolution) kindly email their personal details that they used when purchasing and registering to:

cs@rtdiagnostics.co.uk

You can also of course expand on your review in the email so that we are able assist you further and find a solution to your issues.

As a customer myself who has occasionally been frustrated with various customer experiences, I personally attempt to leave reviews which are helpful to me, to the company (for improvements), and to other potential and current customers.

NB - Using emotive language, including on occasions falsely throwing in words like ‘scam’ or ‘thief’ or worse may make one feel better at the time but as well as being manifestly untrue and defamatory, they actually benefit no-one and serve simply to encourage a discourse which is to the benefit of no-one.

In the current climate I am sure we can agree that a kinder less hostile engagement can do no harm .

As for Trust Pilot, it can be a helpful tool for companies however it can also be very harmful. So, while Trust Pilot is fine in theory, in practice only a small percentage of happy customers leave responses while a huge percentage of unhappy ones do and so a company’s image can easily be trashed and the perception of its customer service and care distorted.

Nonetheless, as a learning organisation we welcome all reviews, especially negative ones (which are non-emotive and genuine) as they present an opportunity for us to improve.

One example of this is that from Monday we will no longer rely on just one courier service – the Royal Mail - but instead have signed agreements with four, including one which will be used mainly for dispatching goods because it will have a tracking mechanism for customers. This will mean for the first-time customers will have full visibility on when their tests have left the laboratory and once completed by the customer, they will also have full visibility on all return journeys.

For our part, all tests which land at the laboratory will be processed and within 24 hours our customers will be emailed the results of their tests.

Our pledge is clear – we are dedicated to providing the best possible customer experience and our brilliant staff are working flat-out in pursuit of that endeavour. We pride ourselves in our unrelenting commitment to our customers and if on occasion we fall short we have no hesitation in apologising and resolving matters. Indeed, on these occasions we thank you for helping us learn and improve.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this message and please stay safe.

Kind regards

Martyn

Arrived at Airport

Arrived at Airport. Company refused to transfer as my husband is disabled so had to use a local taxi (which was also 8 euros cheaper)!
