We have had Spot-On collar for a few years now , it first we did have a few problems , I did give a five star rating because Spot-On was very easy and very fast to correct or compensate when we did have a problem .. Spot on has worked fantastic on keeping our Pyrenees safe and in his boundaries .

Nothing better for hyper dogs
I decided to wait for 2 months to test it with my 2 dogs. It worked perfectly! My dogs learned their boundaries quickly. It beat paying $23,000 for a privacy fence. Well worth the money. Thank you for a great product which actually works!

Continued support all the time. After 2 months it was clear this was not going to work for us. There was zero difficulty in getting a refund.

The collar works great 95% of the time
The collar works great 95% of the time. It occasionally will go off while he’s on the porch which scares him.
The collar is bulky- wish it was smaller.
Would have given it 5 stars except for those two reasons. We tried the Halo collar and the drift was too much and returned it.

Thank you for your review and feedback on the SpotOn collar. The unit may be giving off false corrections while your dog is on the porch because the satellite signal is reflecting off the building and landing near or outside the fence line. If you haven't already, we reccomned adding a Home Zone over the house and giving a five-foot buffer on all sides to accommodate GPS drift. If you still are experiencing frequent false corrections with a Home Zone enabled, please reachout to the support team so we can investigate the issue further with you.
Somehow after weeks of training
Somehow after weeks of training, this happened. My dog wandered into the fence and got shocked. The dog did not know what to do. She just stood there yelping until I could drag her away. When I checked the ap, the shock level had moved to 26 (how in the world did that happen?). Now my dog is completely freaked out by the collar and won't leave my side when outside.

I was able to locate Brookie’s collar and review the account history. Our records show that the static correction level was changed from 14 to 26 on July 20, 2026, at 10:22 a.m. EST. The level was then changed back to 15 on July 23, 2026, at 8:35 p.m. EST.
Because these adjustments are recorded in the account history, we want to better understand what may have caused the change. If you or anyone with access to the account did not make these adjustments, please reach out to our support team so we can investigate this further and help determine what happened.

Accuracy ?
Accuracy does not seem to be the collar's strong point. I do have heavy tree cover and the collar regulary shows my dog 20 to 30 ft out the fence. Once it even showed her approximately 200 ft out of bounds when I was looking at her in the fence.
Sometimes the collar isn't charged even though it's been on the charger over night. I have sent a communication about a corroded contact for the charger, but did not receive a response. Also, I inquired about a flashing red light on the collar several times and did not receive a satisfactory response. On the plus side, the collar has kept her from swimming in the bayou with the alligators (which was the main reason for purchasing the collar in the first place).

Spot on Fence is a great product. Even tho I did not use it because of health, customer service was wonderful. Their site has all kinds of help to use the collar. I had for 60 days and needed to return. Had no problem and as soon as they received the collar, I received a quick refund. They are a wonderful company to work with.

Fastest way to train stubborn dogs!!
Our stubborn hard headed pup who made a game out of escaping off the property crossing roadways scaring us half to death. This collar is a game changer!! Had him trained In just 1 day! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to give their dog total freedom to be a dog and roam free!

Poor collar battery life ...

This will prevent the collar from thinking the dog has escaped and automatically enabling tracking, which will significantly reduce battery life. Worth every penny!!
We have a dog with a very strong prey drive and when he gives chase to something he can be more than a mile or two away and gone for hours! Since getting the collar dialed in to the right setting, we have not had a single breakout and it has been over a year!! (the dog has breached the fence line multiple times chasing something but he is back in under five seconds) Spot on staff were great at giving us guidance over the phone to ensure we were successful. We live in an area with a pretty thick tree canopy, we do not have problems with satellite at all! Multiple fence options make it so easy; especially when we are out of town and the dog is with the sitter!

For the most part I like the two Spot on collars we have for our dogs, but they can be glitchy sometimes giving me error messages about not having cell signal (when the dog is standing next to me in the yard). Also there have been times when I've checked to see where my dog is on our property only to discover that he is outside of the fence, even though I did not receive any warning notice. They are pretty good, but not great.

The cellular connection is used for app features like location updates and escape notifications, while the GPS system itself powers the virtual fence. Cellular reception can vary across a property, even when your phone has a strong signal, which can sometimes result in delayed or missed app updates.
