Underhand, trick you out of money

Signed up for a short 4 day stint and paid. After this, they automatically change your registration to 30 days, and take 40 EUR automatically from your account. They do not stop until you notice, and cancel. even then, cancelling is made very difficult, many steps to follow, and even when it seems like you have finalised it, there is an additional page and button to click AGAIN to finalise it. I realised that they had automatically taken 40 EUR from me, and I tried to cancel. It didnt go through. I cancelled the automatic payment from the side of the bank. They then started to send me aggresive emails telling me to pay, no I hadn't, because I didn't want the service! They increased to 2 months not paid, I tried to cancel again, and this time asked the online service person to check that it had gone through, which it had. I have now received 2 letters from "intrum" demanding that I pay for a service that i didn not want. Rentumo have purposefully made their model like this so that people pay for 30 day registration without knowing. Rentumo then make it very difficult to cancel, with an over complicated process online. This is sneaky and underhand, and I wonder how much money they have tricked out of people!!

Hi Alison! We are sorry to hear that there has been confusion regarding Rentumo and the subscription process.

Rentumo is a platform that helps people find rental properties in Belgium more easily. We collect available rental listings from more than 450 websites in one place, so users do not have to search across many different platforms manually. Premium members can access landlord contact details, receive instant alerts for new matches and get faster access to relevant listings.

When signing up for Rentumo Premium, the first 4 days are offered at a discounted trial price of €4. If the membership is not cancelled during this trial period, it is automatically renewed as a monthly subscription at €39.99 per month. This information is shown during the payment process and in the subscription terms.

That said, we take your concerns seriously. Please reach out to our team at info@rentumo.be directly so we can look into your account, check the cancellation history and review the payment situation with you. 🙏

Hello

We are sorry to hear about your experience and take your concerns seriously.

After receiving your message, we attempted to locate your account in order to investigate and verify the situation. However, we were unable to proceed further as we did not receive the information requested to identify your account. Without this verification, we are unfortunately unable to review the specific case.

We would also like to clarify that Rentumo UK operates exclusively in GBP (£). All subscriptions and payments are processed in British pounds. If a charge appears in EUR (€), it is likely that the subscription was not completed through Rentumo UK.

Regarding the subscription model, if a user signs up for the £1 trial offer and does not cancel before the end of the trial period, the subscription automatically continues as a paid monthly plan. This continuation is clearly communicated during the registration process and is a standard feature of digital subscription services that provide immediate access to premium features.

The emails you receive regarding unpaid invoices are standard notifications informing you that a payment remains outstanding and inviting you to regularise the situation. They are part of our automated billing process and are intended to keep users informed of the status of their subscription account.

If you would like us to investigate your case further or clarify any of the points raised, please feel free to contact our customer support team at info@rentumo.co.uk. We will be happy to assist you directly.

Best regards,
Rentumo

Fraudulent behaviour! Terrible and unaccountable!

I had a terrible experience - I placed an order and the amount was taken from my account (66,98 EUR) + an extra 25,49 EUR which was not for anything! Then there was a technical error and the order was not processed. I called customer services and they told me that the order was cancelled and they would refund me within 72h. One week later there is still no refund. I called again and the person passed on my details to the accounts service. Now I just have to wait - no way to follow this up (again) and I have to just believe that it will happen. Now I check on Trustpilot and see that the same has happened to "Dana" on the .be website! This is Fraud! Has the website been hacked? Or is it them who take our money and provide nothing in return, no email address to ask for support, no accountability, nothing? How is this possible? I will be looking into this more closely, and I will take it higher if I get no reimbursement within the next week. This company has taken 92 EUR from me. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BANK DETAILS
