Review of Yodel by InPost

Patchy service at best

I've used this drop off point (Texaco Moseley Road Bilston) twice in quick succession for Virgin Media returns.

First drop off was fine, no issues, friendly and helpful. Second time was an old guy, the total opposite; grunting monosyllabic and unpleasant.

Different members of staff - pick your moment.

Happy camper

Chose this location on the basis of other drop off points getting some bad reviews.

Couldn't fault the service at all. Friendly, efficient, e-receipt received without problems.

Virgin Media return so not my problem if it gets lost in the system, the guy this end has done his bit 😂😂

Good basic no frills tool for photo enhancement

I've used this online tool to enhance a number of digitised analog images several decades old and whilst the results are far from professional, they're good enough for me to work with

If you just want to tidy up some grain, or marks, creases and so on, it's as good as anything out there

Incompetent at best.....

Boxed fresh meat delivery left outside in the rain with my wheelie bin moved to try and hide it.

DPD are usually 100% in every aspect of what they do but this was just downright stupidity.

Note added post-reply from DPD:

Supplier has asked for details of the service failure so I have no doubt you'll have them to answer to as well.

Review of Field & Flower

A journey well worth taking

OK, first things first - F&F have been around a while. What they have been doing however is reading the room as their current offerings suggest - evolving to suit a budget rather than just positioning themselves as an exclusive provider, as some of their competitors have done.

So why only 4 stars? Packaging..... 4 orders over Christmas came in 4 boxes.....the combined order could have come in one big box. They say it's because it's down to working to order numbers, I think there's room to explore better ways to do it, to save on what must be expensive packaging which would help keep costs down even more.

Now, product - I've been a customer for several years now, on and off. Never had a short order. Never had a replacement put in when something wasn't available.
Quality has been excellent from day one and whilst some of our earlier purchases were a bit hit and miss our purchasing has evolved to reflect our understanding of the products and how to cook them for best results.

It's very much a partnership, asking questions and getting feedback, and as such it is a learning curve, but it's a journey I'm very glad to have been a part of and look forward to many more years of doing the same.

Hi David,

Firstly, thanks for being such a loyal customer over the last five years.🤩

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us such a detailed and considered review David, it really means a lot to us.

We genuinely appreciate your long-standing support and we are thrilled to hear that product quality and reliability have been consistent positives throughout your time with us here at Field & Flower. It’s especially rewarding to read how your own experience and confidence with the products (and company) has grown over the years. This sense of partnership with our customers is exactly what we aim for, and this is the exact reason we always welcome customer feedback.

Your feedback on our packaging is fair and very well made. While our current system works around individual order numbers to ensure accuracy, we agree there’s room to explore smarter, more efficient ways of consolidating shipments where possible. Our packaging is something our Operations Team are actively reviewing, not only from a cost perspective but also with sustainability very much in mind.

We’re grateful for the balanced way you’ve shared both praise and constructive criticism. Feedback like this genuinely helps shape how we evolve, and we’re pleased to have customers who engage with us so thoughtfully.

Thank you again for being part of the Field and Flower journey. It has been a whirlwind of a ride! However, we look forward to many more years of learning and improving together.

Have a wonderful week.

Best wishes
Stacey

Need to do better

Consultation process is confusing to begin with but once you've got your head around it, it works well enough.

Product availability is good but delivery was delayed due to the Easter holidays.

What grinds my gears is that PP could not tell me EXACTLY in the order process chain my order was. I got a cut and paste useless response on two separate occasions. As a paying customer I expect and deserve better.

I haven't evaluated the competition before as I've had no need up until now to do so (this was my 4th order) but on the basis that no one seemed to know (or care) how long it would take for my order to be processed and delivered it begs the question whether or not I should.

You need to do better. It's bad enough I'm having to buy essential medication privately but to come up against useless and uninformative customer services from my chosen provider doesn't inspire any confidence.

Review of Andertons Music Co.

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

After sales service is shocking

Ordered a guitar on Christmas Day, arrived damaged on the 28th December 2024 due to a combination of very avoidable issues (inner branded guitar box damaged so badly it was unfit for purpose, guitar not secure inside this box, accessories loose inside broken box leading to damage to finish) and the branded Andertons box isn't wide enough to accommodate the Explorer style guitar in it's own branded box leading to the outer box becoming distorted. DHL carrier.

Flagged for a return on the day of delivery, and requested additional packaging to ensure safe return.

Received a reply on the 4th January 2025 telling me the new packaging was on its way.

The new packaging finally arrived 10 days later, on the 14th January, absolutely battered, not what I'd asked for and it appeared that someone had attempted to open this new box to see what was inside it. DHL the carrier again.

I flagged this up on the day and received a reply on the 15th January that an OEM-style inner box, the one I had requested, was not available.

I replied to this on the 17th January stating the guitar would be available for collection in it's original packaging from the 20th January onwards.

Having not received a reply by the 23rd I contacted the funding source to discuss the transaction be reversed and advised Andertons as such.

Imagine my surprise when I received an almost immediate reply from Andertons telling me that they had been trying to contact me (they hadn't) to arrange a collection date.

A collection date has finally been arranged, almost one calendar month after the original purchase.

Nice videos, but absolutely crap post-sales customer service. I'm happy enough to buy pedals and such like as I have done before but whole guitars? Not a chance. Lost of other places that take far better care.

Thankfully the return is being handled by DPD and not DHL. This does give me a level of confidence that the return will be properly handled.

Quality service

I like APC, they're a good company to have dealings with.Drivers are courteous, packages always arrive in the condition they were sent out and the overall experience is mostly positive.

My only question is why so early in the morning.....
Some of us enjoy our lie-in LOL

Good product let down by delivery partner

As is usually the case the meat we ordered was fabulous, even if our Easter centrepiece didn't quite hit the spot as the flavour was just too strong (salt aged T-bone). Everything else (bacon, pate, ham, sous vide short ribs, lamb knuckle) went down a treat.

My only concern was two orders due on the same day came via two deliveries which wasn't ideal, as was the fact that the first delivery was left outside the house in full view of anyone passing. DPD dropped the ball on this one, and not for the first time. Whether it's a local issue or not I don't know but it's a concern.

Hi David, thank you for your feedback. I'm so sorry for any disappointment caused by DPD. Unfortunately, they don't always sort boxes bound for the same address onto the same van. This has to do with their sorting process, but I do share in your frustration that it's not very green of them. If you could send us an email to hello@fieldandflower.co.uk we can file a complaint on your behalf to DPD that the first driver didn't follow correct delivery procedures. - Kim

For a small business they punch well above their weight

This review is about the product itself and the service I have received.

I've been a customer since November of last year when I was charged over £6 for a tray or rice from a local Chinese takeaway and decided enough was enough, I'd try sourcing some free range meat from F&F and spend the time I'd be waiting for a takeaway to arrive to do some cooking.

I'm now almost single sourcing my meat this way. Not everything I have bought has been to my liking, I'll be honest, but that would be the case regardless of where you shop. Meat quality has been excellent, the pork especially.

Over the last few months I've tried as much as I can of what F&F have to offer and now have a shopping list of a dozen day to day items I keep in and about the same for weekend treats.

Yes, it's expensive, but I'd rather eat less and eat better than eat something nondescript from who knows where from my local supermarket.

On the rare occasion I have had issues to resolve the CS staff have done what I've asked of them. They can't be held responsible and shouldn't be for idiot courier drivers and delayed deliveries by the aforementioned idiot courier drivers. I am fortunate inasmuch as our local DPD are excellent, sadly I know this isn't the case everywhere

In summary? Try it. Read all the reviews, sift out the ones written by people who are just born to complain and go from there.

No problems with these guys at all

Delivery guy turned about at about 7.45am, big silly grin on his face, said he saw our lights on and thought he'd see if could deliver.

Tuffnells don't deliver much to me it has to be said but the guys I have had dealings with have all been really pleasant, they come on time, they're helpful and they're polite.

Flawless from start to finish

Ordered over the weekend, had emails every day keeping me advised as to the progress of the order, courier arrived and couldn't have been more helpful.

This is how online ordering should be. Simple to order on a well designed and maintained website, a professional response from the seller upon receipt of the order, comprehensive communications to point of receipt and in overall terms, leaving the buyer feeling valued. Other suppliers take note.....

The product is pretty good, too.

Best foodie decision we've made

First subscription box arrived on time on the date specified and I like the courier F&F use - that's a curated decision to begin with.

The box contents were a delight. The meat is amazing. Our driver for purchasing from F&F was down to ethical production values but has also now bled into reducing our spend on takeaway food, which had become both ridiculously expensive and of late questionable quality, to nil.

In terms of costs, it's a win-win for us. We don't waste money on takeaway any more, portion sizes are lower which is more healthy, quality is better, and meal prep is much more fun as we have to think about what to put on the plate alongside our F&F meat cuts.

Best foodie decision we've made bar none.

Cheap and very nasty

They'll take your money then after that just try and get a response. Late delivery after I'd paid for next day which hasn't been refunded, complaint email was replied to with "your order has been delivered so what's the problem?" trying to get hold of customer services by phone was impossible and the couriers they use apparently can't update you as to where your goods are as they aren't in contact with their drivers despite the fact the driver has a mobile he used to ring me to tell me when he was eventually coming

Never - NEVER - again.
