⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience | Poor Customer Service
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Flight Booking Agency Flugladen.de regarding my return flight to Germany in August.
The problem started with my minor child’s ticket and her surname/name as shown in her passport. I contacted Flugladen.de’s customer service to have the necessary correction made to the ticket.
Before accepting Flugladen.de’s response, I contacted the airline directly myself. The airline explained that the requested change could potentially be handled and, because my ticket had been booked through an agency, the agency needed to contact the airline through its agent portal/system to request the change.
I therefore contacted Flugladen.de’s customer service again and explained exactly what the airline had told me. Unfortunately, Flugladen.de did not appear to properly check the matter with the airline. Instead, I was simply told that there was no policy with the airline allowing my child’s last name to be added and that the only solution was to cancel and rebook the ticket.
This was incredibly frustrating because I had already spoken directly with the airline and had been told that the agency could contact them through the agency system to address the issue.
By this point, the flight prices had increased dramatically. Since my child is a minor, I could not take the risk of travelling with a ticket that might cause problems at the airport. I was therefore forced to cancel all of our tickets and book completely new flights with another airline, resulting in significant inconvenience, stress, and additional financial loss.
What disappoints me most is not simply that the name correction was difficult. It is that Flugladen.de did not seem willing to properly investigate the issue with the airline after I specifically explained what the airline had told me.
As a customer, I expect a flight booking agency to provide support when there is a problem with a booking. Instead, I felt that I was left with only one option: cancel the booking and buy a completely new ticket at a much higher price.
Whether this was due to lack of knowledge, lack of effort, or company policy, the result for me was the same: I lost confidence in the agency and had to make completely new travel arrangements.
For anyone booking flights, especially when travelling with children, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before using this agency. My experience was extremely stressful, and I would personally not use Flight Booking Agency Flugladen.de again.
Very poor customer support. Very disappointing experience. 1/5.

Thank you for sharing this experience. Having an issue with a child's name on a booking creates a lot of stress, especially when preparing for travel.
Name correction requests are processed according to airline rules, which often only permit minor changes of up to 3 letters. In this case, the correction request was submitted to the airline through agency channels, but it was rejected based on their strict policy. The booking details are being reviewed again to ensure every option was properly checked.

When an airline refers refund requests to the booking agency, the request must meet the specific ticket conditions applicable to the purchased ticket. Because the conditions of this ticket do not allow for a refund, we cannot request a refund.

During the booking process you can select preferred baggage.
It is not possible to add checked baggage via our website after the payment is completed. In such cases, you can add baggage directly via the airline's website after booking your ticket or with the check-in counter at the airport.
