I ordered a first edition of WB Yeats…
I ordered a first edition of WB Yeats poems for a close literary friend for his birthday. It cost 250GBP
Lazarus aka Biblio sent the 7th edition and when I questioned it and asked for what I ordered they said they could not fulfill the order but to send back the book and they would refund!
If I had I would not have had a present for the Bday. Between a rock and a hard place. So I gave it to my friend with an apology and evidence that I had ordered a first edition. Today on Etsy I noted the 8th edition can be bought for 39 euros.
These people are not to be trusted and are deceitful and well "versed" in sharp practice

I will never shop with Biblio again
I have now ordered from Biblio on several occasions. At least half the time items have either failed to be delivered for no apparent reason or been cancelled without explanation, leaving me no time to re-order when I needed items in a timely way. This just never happens in the same way with other companies.
I was attracted to Biblio on account of them being a more ethical choice - but other ethical options exist and I will absolutely NEVER shop with them again - there is no excuse for this kind of service and they and the companies that sell through them don’t deserve to exist.

Great experience!
I was looking everywhere for a book and finally found it on Biblio! It was my first time using the site and I'm happy with my experience. Really reasonable price, quick shipping and the book is in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend Biblio and I will be purchasing from them again soon :)

Misleading Experience, Can't Leave Seller Reviews
Ordered a book out of New York supposed to arrive in roughly a week.
A week later the book is on the other side of the world because the seller decided to ship out of India for some reason. Feels very scammy. The fact that I can't leave a negative review of this experience on seller on biblio implies they're fine with this kind of behavior.

Rare Book for Knowledge, Not Collecting
The publication I wanted has been out of print for more than 50 years. Biblio sold me a reprint which was acceptable to me. I only wanted to know what was written in that tome.
All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase. As it is with many out of print books being reprinted in our era one must expect that the reproduction process is not infallible. Some of the typeset in my copy was hazy or light on ink, but readable.
And all the words were readable, and I think that that's the hallmark of keeping these books alive.

A good alternative to "big corporate"
A good alternative to "big corporate" second hand book sales websites. Like all marketplaces, the experience is more dependent on who the actual seller is, than on the marketplace itself.
It could do a better job of letting sellers know about its logistics, as I've had an order cancelled because the vendor was worried about shipping costs, when Biblio was asking them to ship to a domestic aggregation point, just like the other site to which I was directed... and which the vendor was happy to use.
