Vodacom is by far the worst…
Vodacom is by far the worst organisation ever. Our fibre line has been down since Thursday and nobody gives a shit when you call their lines to enquire. Every consultant doesn’t seem to know what’s going on in the company and have a don’t care attitude when asks questions. I wouldn’t recommend, they’re at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer service

They do check how you make use of your data and Airtime. I got a wonderful call from them suggesting to change me over to airtime. I appreciate their checking in and creating plans that suits you 🙂
From Frustration to Fantastic Service!
I would like to commend Brinleigh and Sharon for the exceptional service I received from Vodacom!
I called on Thursday, 27 August 2026, looking to get fibre and WiFi installed at my mother’s home. Brinleigh was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and patient. He took the time to understand my situation, explained my options clearly and offered alternatives to ensure I chose what was best for my needs.
This was especially impressive after another service provider had given me the run-around for three weeks with endless back-and-forth emails and no solution.
Brinleigh then put me through to Sharon, who assisted with my application. We encountered an issue, but Sharon was hands-on, proactive and found a solution without making the process stressful.
Within just two working days, everything was sorted and payment was made. My installation is scheduled for today, 1 September, and I’ve already received confirmation of the appointment.
Thank you, Brinleigh and Sharon, for making this such a smooth and positive experience. Your service was outstanding! You are both a credit to Vodacom. Keep it up! 🙌🏽

Vodacom head office in Cape Town
Vodacom head office in Cape Town, you are disgusting - there was a woman manager who does not listen to your complaint or request for the calls recording to expose them. I bought data for full price to receive half the data i purchased and half they decided to go towards my owing airtime. This is so devious, advertising a product, paying for it and getting robbed without your permission. I mean i will pay the advanced data when i get paid again like i usually do. Also your network range is starting to suck where i go. Shows the quality of your service and who you are hiring is really going down - i can’t wait for star link, currently using melon - unlimited calls with data for R200 bux a month? Switching both my phones and my mom and dads line to melon - to the manager - i am not done with you - i promise.

I bought R100 airtime using my bank and I never received it but when I call their customer service they refer me to tobi and that bot is useless and it's my 3rd time experiencing this with vodacom . I don't know where to get help with this
My name is Thabang Mako from Pretoria…
My name is Thabang Mako from Pretoria South Africa, I have been using Vodacom for over 15 years and I never experience what I'm currently experiencing, the services from vodacom is nonsense I bought 60GB, 30GB day and 30GB night for month and it only took me a two weeks when I check what chowed my data I only found out that by the time I thought I was using night shift at midnight only to find out that it was the day shift data that was being used, then I continued I bought 5 gig for 7 days the same thing happened and I bought it again the same thing happened, then I checked with vodacom what could be the problem the only answer I found it was that I have to put my phone on flight mode first before I use my night owl then I asked myself why the answer is I have to do the switching off of flight mode and put it on again, I then got worried why do I have to put it on flight mode every time while before it was not like that then I found vodacom customer care they only answer I got was that it has to refresh every time before I use it midnight then I asked them why do I have to always refresh it, and the lady said yes you have to refresh it every time then I ask them why when I have to use my night out I have to refresh and when now it's 5:00am in the morning it does not need me to refresh for it to go back to they shift it goes automatically but when it's night midnight I have two refresh it but when it's morning I don't have to refresh it she failed to answer me because she's not the one who is now experiencing what I'm experiencing remember the only time when I found out that I am using daytime data it is when already it's gone so the lady did not compensate me with any word with anything she just said to me I have to refresh it but when I ask you that why do I have to refresh by 00:00 midnight but 5:00am I don't have to refresh it back she failed to answer me, she failed!
So good people every time when you are using vodacom you must be conscious of the time you must check because you might be using your data at the wrong time because of the system of vodacom nonsense!
I would prefer if we all change from vodacom to other vouchers because vodacom is not helping with customer care at all, if it's not the customer care it's Whatever nonsense they call Toby nonsense!!!

I started using Vodacom sim card 2 months ago and I must say their next is one of the best and I love their hot deal data packages
Vodacom Service Complaint
Vodacom Service Complaint
I was forced to choose Vodacom because of the coverage in my area, but I feel other customers should be aware that the reality of the service does not match the promises made when you sign up.
I called on Saturday and spoke to Aarif Bagley, who assured me that he would personally assist me. He even told me that although he only starts work at 1pm on Monday, he would “sacrifice” his morning and arrive at 8am to get my issue sorted. I trusted his word, but Monday came and I heard absolutely nothing from him, despite sending emails.
I then had to call again because I had no idea what was happening. Nomvuselelo Tshapela assisted me and did make an effort to help. However, after I provided everything she requested, I was once again left waiting for feedback that never came.
By 2pm, I called again. I have no Wi-Fi and had already used up my minutes making repeated calls because the promised callbacks simply weren't happening.
To my shock, I was then told that my case had been closed and that I needed to apply all over again.
Had I not called, I would still be sitting here waiting for people who had promised to get back to me.
I had to explain the entire situation to yet another agent, who did at least try to assist and escalate my installation. At this point, however, I have no idea when the installation will actually happen.
This has been an extremely disappointing experience for a first-time Vodacom customer. The biggest problem isn't just the delay — it is the repeated promises of callbacks and assistance that simply never happened.
If Vodacom cannot deliver on the commitments made by its representatives, customers deserve to know that before signing up.
Very poor service experience.
Poor service from Vodacom
Our fiber connection has been down for 7 days now, vodacom says Vumatel is the problem and Vumatel says Vodacom is. Disappointing service from Vodacom honestly, unfortunately call center agents are dealing with a broken process. The migration from Vodacom to Vumatel is a mess. We'll be moving all our contracts to a new more reliable company. It's unfortunate that the service of a company we trusted for years has gone down the gutter like this with the Vumatel migration.

Vodacom is practically non-existent in Uniondale. A person cannot work as the network is so shockingly poor. Totally unacceptable!
Vodacom totally unresponsive
Vodacom are the most unresponsive company ever.
If it is not convenient to them they do not respond back. Call center agents promise to call back and never do.
Overall the worst company you could ever have the misfortune to deal with
Honestly the worst service provider!
Honestly the worst service provider to deal with! 3 weeks ago I requested a refund as the debited me twice for the amount of near R2000. Twice! They told me to wait 7-14 business days, I did so, nothing was done - I emailed them and they told me it wasn't done and that I had to wait another 7-14 business days! They delayed it because they didn't want to pay out the money! I insisted on a refund instead of keeping it as "credit".. what do they do? They delay the process to avoid paying out! There's still money that needs to be paid out and I'm still waiting.
THE WORST EVER.
I cancelled my fiber in November
I cancelled my fiber in November. I am still being charged by Vodacom, today they debited my account for over R12000 rand unauthorized. What dies it take to cancel a contract. I have physicalcally been to Fourways and Nicolway to no avail. Contact me Vodacom, I am feeling helpless here and you are messing with my credit score....
Sim swap delays
Tried to do a sim swap and instead of two hours as committed I was told to wait till it happens. I mean this is a standard thing. Adding to my frustration was trying to speak to someone, their bot selection took like 9 selections to be able to speak to someone
Money taken. Line disconnected. No responses
Money taken. Disconnected Line. No Responses
Vodacom debited my account on July 20 for my payment and then on Monday disconnected my line saying my account is in arrears.
I called in to say it can't be in arrears because they've taken the money, customer service say the money hasn't been "allocated" and I needed to send proof to collections at their pnr address.
I did that and got a reference number, with the reference email stating mails are attended to within a 24 hour period. I heard nothing and followed up via mail. After three days I called in to find out why no response after 72 hours despite purported 1 day turnaround time.
They said this kind of query cannot be resolved telephonically and can only be done via mail. I was instructed to contact legal which I copied on the mail. I've heard nothing from legal or pnr and I still have a disconnected line despite cash being collected from me.
This is unacceptable and probably illegal.
We have our business fibre with Vodacom…
We have our business fibre with Vodacom - biggest mistake!
However, we were left with no choice because we could only opt for them due to Vodacom being the only company to offer fibre in Parow Industria at the time.
Our business has been without internet for a month and a half, with automated updates from Vodacom, advising that they cannot repair the cable due to it not being safe to do so and waiting for the City of Cape Town’s contractors to fix something else in the same location…
I’ve emailed and called Vodacom about 10 times now, as they’ve still billed my company for the entire month and have not responded with any interim solutions like perhaps providing us with a temporary router.
They just ignore my emails and keep referring to the fact that they will repair the cable and sorry for the inconvenience.
This is also not the first time that we’ve experienced bad customer service and billing issues and just getting basic requests right! Once this is all over - I will be looking at alternatives. They’ve had the monopoly for so many years and have unfortunately dropped the ball.

Spent a week without network and no communication from Vodacom whatsoever. I am positive Vodacom is about to loose a lot of customers from Johannesburg South because what are we paying for exactly? Yoh I am tired of complaining about Vodacom
