Zero stars if I could.

Bought my Polar Loop in January 2026. Within 6 months it had failed and needed a full reset FIVE separate times, a clear ongoing fault, not a one-off.
I contacted Polar Care and got a response from Emmanouil, who sent me through a lengthy troubleshooting process (unpairing, factory reset, reinstalling the app, etc.). I did all of it. The fault persisted. The "repair" link provided routed to their US service centre, completely useless for a UK customer.
I followed up on 8th August asking for the correct UK process. Complete silence. It's now 2nd September, over three weeks later, still no reply.
A device that fails repeatedly within 6 months should be refunded or replaced under the Consumer Rights Act, not stonewalled with an unresponsive support team and a broken regional process. Appalling customer care for a company that sells premium fitness tech.
Avoid unless you enjoy chasing your own warranty claim into a black hole.
Horrible service
Horrible service, my polar stopped working Vantage 3 after 8 months of buying it. I sent it to polar France since 40 days now, at the beginning they were answering my emails saying to be patient, and for the last 2 weeks no reply, nothing. I have never seen such a bad service ever. I really don’t recommend anyone to buy a polar as even if it is under guarantee you can be sure the after service will not reply.
Screw you, Polar!
Lying, greedy thieves, so much for this brand! Six months after the warranty expired, my Ignite 3 watch died! And no amount of factory resetting or cleaning the charging port will help! In my opinion, they're just scammers, pushing out updates that destroy the battery just to get us to buy their new crap! Screw you, Polar!

**Faulty Polar Loop and appalling customer service**
My Polar Loop developed a serious Bluetooth fault after only around 11 days of use. It repeatedly connected and disconnected every half-second, making the device effectively unusable.
I first contacted Polar and requested a refund on 18 July. Since then, I’ve completed every troubleshooting step requested, supplied proof of purchase, device information and diagnostic logs, and repeatedly made it clear that I wanted to return the faulty product for a refund—not a repair or replacement.
On 4 August, I formally rejected the device under my short-term right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Despite numerous follow-ups and being told that my case had been escalated, Polar has still not provided return instructions, a prepaid label or confirmation of my refund.
It has now been almost a month since I first reported the fault. The lack of communication and urgency has been incredibly frustrating, particularly for a premium fitness brand. I would strongly advise others to consider the quality of Polar’s after-sales support before purchasing directly from them.
First Class Customer Service
I bought an H9 from Amazon in April and after a couple of months the heart rate display kept randomly dropping to zero. Contacted their help line for advice and received a reply within 24hrs with sensible advice about things to try. Here began a two week saga of advice (always rapid replies) and intermittent HR drops: nothing worked. They asked for the serial number and all went quiet for several days (while they thought about it??) They have now sent me a voucher code for a free replacement with an optional free upgrade to an H10 :))
I would have given 5 stars if they had a phone number I could ring and talk to a real person
Good measurements, needlessly painful ownership
I deliberately chose Polar because I wanted a European alternative to Garmin. The Pacer Pro works, its GPS is fast, and heart-rate readings appear accurate. That earns three stars.
Unfortunately, Polar makes supporting a European product unnecessarily painful. Initial setup included a cumbersome six-digit PIN entered through a tiny button-controlled number wheel, repeated lockouts, and difficulty finding the setting to disable it. Accidentally started activities cannot be discarded on the watch, so junk sessions may automatically reach Polar Flow and Strava.
Customisation is extremely limited: fixed watch faces, unavoidable branding, no proper battery/connectivity layout, and bicycles can only be called Bike 1, Bike 2 and Bike 3. Linux users are excluded from FlowSync, while complete, convenient ownership and export of one’s own training, activity and sleep data remains unnecessarily difficult.
The standard H10 chest strap was about 16 cm too short, although I am not exceptionally large. Polar also supplied three USB-C charging cables but no charger or USB-A adapter.
I expected fewer features than Garmin. I did not expect basic usability to feel this poorly considered. This could have been a four-star product, but Polar’s apparent indifference to its longstanding reputation for poor user experience costs another star.
I genuinely want Polar to succeed as a European alternative. Polar makes that loyalty much harder than it should be.
Unable to purchase
Refuses to recognise my vitality status, shipping is extortionate and website navigation isn’t great. Don’t expect their products to be any good when something as simple as purchasing one turns out to be a lot of effort. Luckily there’s plenty competition out there.
Product quality now miserable, extremely poor support
I bought an H9 heart rate monitor from Amazon in March, it stopped working in June. Contacted customer service, provided the receipt and all information requested. They stopped responding on the case after a week. I even got the same representative I'd been corresponding with on chat the following week after they started ghosting me, they just said that there was nothing they could do and the case "needed to be escalated".
UPDATE: following 30 days with zero communication (and nearly 7 weeks after opening the support case), I received a voucher from Polar for a replacement, out of the blue. So that's nice, but I absolutely couldn't recommend the company to any serious athlete who needs reliable equipment and a company who will stand behind it.
Bought an H9 heart rate monitor
Bought an H9 heart rate monitor. Connector pulled off the strap after 15 months. UK consumer law says product must last a "reasonable time". Polar refused a replacement strap stating it was normal wear and tear. It was a structural defect NOT wear and tear. Fortunately the retailer refunded in line with UK consumer law. I would avoid this company as Wahoo and Garmin are far superior in all ways.
Spent almost $400 and have no watch; poor customer service
I purchased a Polar Pacer Pro from Walmart marketplace in the middle of March. Within two weeks it stopped working. I communicated with global customer service trying all the troubleshooting techniques for several weeks before they told me to return it to the New York office. Without any diagnosis, they sent me a new watch because the first one was under warranty. The second watch didn’t work right out of the box. I have continued to communicate with customer service, now in the United States, with no resolution. I asked for my case to be brought to a supervisor and my request went unacknowledged. They told me to return the watch to Walmart, even after I had copied and pasted the Walmart return policy, proving I could not return the watch to Walmart. They also told me they sent a third watch to me however I only received a watch band. I’ve asked about this twice with no response. So many of my requests, comments, and questions go unacknowledged. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m communicating with AI instead of an actual person.I have spent close to $400 including shipping charges to send my first watch back to them and receive the second watch and I still have no functioning watch. I have had good results with Polar heart rate monitors in the past, which is why I chose to purchase my watch from Polar as opposed to another company. However, moving forward, I do not foresee purchasing anything from Polar ever again. I will continue to try to resolve this issue, however, if it is not resolved within a few days, I will pursue other customer protection options.
Very poor service
Very poor service, wrist band goes off constantly. Last time it happened during swimming and now the watch is on the bottom of a lake…. Service from polar? The watch has 2 year guarantee but the wristband only 1…. No sorry, no help, no new watch. Pure product quality issue. Watch was 1,5 years old
Defective product
Defective product, and Polar makes YOU pay to fix their mistake.
I purchased a Polar Loop in April 2026. Less than three months later, it stopped charging completely — a clear hardware defect, not wear and tear. When I contacted Polar support for a warranty claim, I was told I have to pay the shipping costs to send the defective unit back.
Let me be clear: this device failed within months through no fault of mine, and Polar's response is to charge me for the privilege of returning their faulty product. A company that stands behind its hardware covers return shipping on warranty defects — that's standard practice for any brand that takes quality seriously.
The product is unreliable and the warranty support adds insult to injury. I expected better from Polar

I have a 5 year old Polar watch and the battery has died, contacted Polar support, initial response was relatively quick within a day or two. They said they can't repair but will offer me a discount voucher to purchase a new one, I wrote back accepting the offer.......that was nearly 10 days ago. Chased them ever 2 days since, finally got a response after a week saying they are waiting on a colleague to create the voucher. Still no voucher and no response when I asked for timing of the vouchers arrival, feels like there is one person on support here in UK and its not working, are they going out of business?

I am extremely disappointed with both Polar and their customer service. I purchased one of their fitness watches, but after opening the box and deciding it wasn’t the right fit for me, I contacted customer service to return it. To my surprise, they refused the return simply because the box had been opened.
How else is a customer supposed to evaluate a watch without opening the package? I never expected that simply inspecting the product would make it ineligible for return.
This experience has completely changed my opinion of Polar as a company. Their customer service was unhelpful and unwilling to work toward a reasonable solution. As a result, I will no longer support Polar or purchase any of their products in the future.
I will also be contacting my credit card company regarding this purchase and will continue sharing my experience so other customers understand Polar’s return policy before buying.
Very disappointing experience. I expected much better from a company with Polar’s reputation. If I could give it a zero I would!!
Never again will i buy Polar
Never again will i buy Polar. Watch will not sync with phone. Have to install and reinstall all the time. Shite customer support. Brand new and it's gone in the bin.... Jokers.

The customer service is always very friendly, that's not the issue.
I reported a malfunction on a Vantage V2 watch I bought four years ago. Your customer service told me, "Send it to our repair department." I sent it, it took two weeks to arrive and four days later I was told, "We don't have spare parts for the V2." And they asked me to pay the shipping and service fees whilst they should have told me, "Spare parts for the V2 are no longer available", there's a risk we won't be able to repair your watch."
And they offered me a new one with a 30% discount.
Do I have to change my watch after four years?
Unacceptable! Avoid at all costs!
Big regret buying the Polar Street X
Big regret buying the Polar Street X. I had a basic Garmin forerunner since 2018 which still has better functionality than the Polar. Something as simple as having the time showing seems to be a problem for polar, you can either have it set to on all the time or off until you turn your wrist to see the time. On all the time function is fine until you go to bed then the screen is like a torch, even on the lowest brightness setting. The off function would be fine if it worked, I've found that if I want to glance at the time during the day I need to physically push a button to wake the screen, as it doesn't seem to register when you flick your wrist, maybe once every dozen times.
The watch is difficult to use if you wear it on the left wrist, the up/down buttons are on the right hand side, which means you need to use your index finger rather than your thumb, which is a lot easier.
It has serious connection problems to sync to the flow app also. Literally the only thing that I've found is better on the Polar than an 8 year old Garmin is the alarm is set to just vibrate by default, that is it.
I'm outside my return window unfortunately and I'm now stuck with this very below par watch, if you can call it that.
If you use Garmin and think the grass is greener with Polar, it is not, Polar doesn't even have any grass.
I have emailed them many times…
I have emailed them many times demanding my money back for this watch because it does not function properly and they keep asking me what’s wrong with it and I should do this or that to fix it ; they will not give me the procedure for returning the watch in order to get my money back !! They suck
Це найгірші годинники за все моє життя…
I am writing this to share my deep frustration with the new Polar Grit X2 Pro. Despite being a premium sports watch, it is virtually impossible to synchronize it with my phone.
I have spent the entire day trying to fix this: I've reinstalled the Polar Flow app multiple times, restarted both the watch and the phone, and ensured all software and firmware versions are up to date. Nothing works. From a device of this price point, I expected a 'plug and play' experience, but instead, I got a constant struggle with connectivity.
It's disappointing to see such basic
functionality failing on a flagship model. I hope Polar addresses these sync bugs immediately, as the watch is currently useless without data synchronization
Polar is a Horrible Company!
Polar is one of the worse companies to buy from when it comes to health gadgets in my opinion. Polar H10 is annoying to use and terribly designed. For example Polar H10 measures live HRV but doesn't show it. It literally refuses to allow the user to see the live HRV data. According to online forums downloading additional 3rd party apps is needed to actually see the live HRV data. I bought this device only to track live HRV. It does track it but will not show it unless I download apps that aren't even owned by Polar. Beyond ridiculous.
