Simple advice do not use this site! It is only scams
This organisation seems founded on a single aim ... to scam people. I assume it has been set up with this single objective.
The adverts seem real enough but follow through on them and you will end up being scammed.
When you complain with facts to their complaints system you are responded to by AI which finds no fault. No human seems to take any responsibility.
Simple advice do not use this site! If a telephone number per is available use that to contact sellers directly and only pay money with a refund system such as credit card or Payoneer.
Non-existent Customer Service
Non existent customer service. Don't expect any support when dealing with Hermes issues, and Hermes expects Kleinanzeigen to sort things out. Worst combination ever. No tracking system for complaints either.
not reliable, support and protection does not exist
scammers is one thing, but the issue is that even with buyer's protection you essentially just pay more. Maybe in theory would work if you get no item at all. They do not care about the quality and issues that were not described and will not reply in any way.
Basically even if you receive a brick to your mail, you better have multiple videos of unpacking. And even in such case it would be 50/50 in seller/buyer favor. Since they only earn from complete sales, that's all they care about.
Had a few cases where everything went right, but overall as online platform they are probably the worst experience around.
Frist thing: scam messages
Literally the first message on the first thing I tried to sell there was already scam. They have some serious cleanup to do before this platform becomes usable.
Incompetents. With bad intentional predatory practices.
Predatory practices to force their own shipping and payment systems - they now removed alternate sending options other than DHL. Absolute incompetents. Today they unilaterally removed my kitchen blender/mixer ad claiming "the sale of prescription and non-prescription drugs as well as dietary supplements is prohibited". Ridicoulous. Absolute Incompetents!
Horrible place..
Horrible place..
I wanted to buy something but it's practically impossible. Many sellers have private profiles with little to no information. When I asked a question to a seller about a product my account was banned, so be careful with that.
Whatever kind of security system they have set up it's terrible, and you cannot even move off site to talk with a seller about the shipping because the system will also flag it, but then if you try to buy something through there you risk loosing your money.
Customer service sucks and they just don't care.
This site is very strange
This site is very strange. There are ads from Turkish and Nigerian scammers with inflated ratings. Which increase their own rating. If you ask a question about the details of the proposed product, then the site itself bans you. Without explanation. It looks like a scam. It seems to me that the owners and administrators there have nothing to do with Germany.
The App works perfectly
The App works perfectly. Ive sold and bought well over 200 items using Kleinanzeigen. Also quite rare instruments. I even was able to make a few friends on the way.
Of course look out for potential scammers. Its basically just a fleamarket where every is responsible for their own purchases. This comes with the format.
1 star isn't even enough
1 star isn't even enough! All 9 of my ads deleted because they think I'm a official trader?
Lots of scammers and untrustworthy people on this platform.
Blocked my account for no reason
Blocked my account for no reason
Support not awsering
Don't use their payment protection
The payment protection goes against the buyer.
I bought a watch for 400 eur with payment protection which was delivered broken. They write that one has 14 days after payment to request protection, but to not do so until the seller has tried to cancel they payment process. Long story short, the seller didn't cancel they payment process but after 13 days they still gave him my 400 euros even though I already sent the seller my watch back. I contacted support, a week passed by and still no response.
Interested buyer seems to have harvested my email address
I recently posted an ad. Immediately I was contacted by a Kleinanzeiger user, saying that she wanted to buy the object, and would pay the postage: could I just let her know the total price. She sent me her address and asked for my PayPal ID to make the money transfer. I disguised my PayPal ID (email address, because PayPal doesn't allow a different type of ID) to make it machine-unreadable. That was the end of the "conversation" with the other user who -- I checked -- had been with Kleinanzeigen for a few years, and has a rating of "not great". Then, I opened the Emails on my computer, and had a rush of spam mails. These continued -- increasingly new ones -- for days and weeks. Despite trying to "desubscribe" from all of these spurious "services", I am still getting 10s of spam mails each day. I am convince that there was a connection to the event on Kleinanzeigen: it's quite obvious: my encoded email address was probably read by a real person -- quite possibly the very person acting as the very enthusiastic buyer of my advertised object. If my theory is true, that person is actually acting as an "email harvester", and earning money. And all this happens on Kleinanzeigen, which seems not to care much about it. I submitted my case, giving all details, and was then told by Kleinanzeigen that it wasn't going to pursue it further. 2 years ago I was defrauded out of more than 3,000 Euros via fake seller on Kleinanzeigen who seemed to have hacked into a genuine seller's account. All in all this platform has descended into junk that is full of fraud and advertising. Use it at your peril.
I registered twice in total
I registered twice in total, and both times my account was hacked. kleinanzeigen.de blamed me, but if their security methods do not meet today's standards, why is it my fault?
Regarding the prices, everything is typical for Germany - more expensive than what a new product costs today.
As for the scammers, there are plenty of them. sometimes I even think scammers created kleinanzeigen.de so they would not be monitored.
The resellers are the most annoying, sending at least ten messages and demanding that you sell them everything you have. Sometimes the transaction method they offer is clearly fraudulent, and most of them do not speak German.

Hellish experience kleinanzeigen.de…
Hellish experience kleinanzeigen.de gone through to make a purchase of an electric guitar (Epiphone Slash Vermillion Burst Les Paul) and seems typical of this company. It passed the buck to OPP (Online Payment Platform) who supposedly insures your purchase. I lost almost 270 euros because nowhere did I read on Kleinanzeigen.de a *warning that if I paid the seller using the friend payment button instead of store or business button I could not receive a refund* even though it was blatant the seller was a scammer as he immediately shut his page down after I sent the money through PayPal. All three passed the buck saying it was the other's responsibility. Here we have an established company Kleinanzeigen.de allowing a first time seller to be paid before there is confirmation that they even shipped the item let alone had a real item to sell (electric guitar). They sent me to OPP - Online Payment Platform as my purchase was supposed to be covered under their insurance plan which I paid for at checkout with kleinanzeigen.de. But OPP said they needed authorization by kleinanzeigen.de to reimburse me. Then kleinanzeigen.de so called "customer service" used the excuse that I picked the wrong payment button even though the seller directed me to send it via "friend." I had never used kleinanzeigen.de before and there were definitely no warnings written anywhere noticeable. He wasn't a store; he was a private seller and it seemed logical that his instructions to send payment using "friend" button made sense. Immediately after they received my payment it showed on screen "no longer active" - "account closed." So this is how you treat a buyer? You allow a scammer to walk away with the buyer's money based on a flimsy excuse that I pressed the wrong button???? How dare you! My first experience using kleinanzeigen.de not only left me with a bad taste in my mouth but also without my money. No guitar and no money. Thanks a lot kleinanzeigen.de and OPP Online Payment Platform. So now I'm giving everyone fair warning....***DO NOT USE kleinanzeigen.de nor OPP*** to purchase any items and/or pay for fake insurance. Pitiful companies both and they will probably send a "Dear John" message to say how sorry they are I had such a terrible experience. How about you just return my money I lost using your inferior selling site kleinanzeigen.de customer service????? Look at their ratings.....could they go any lower? Ratings like this mean they are scammers!

No thanks, very uncomfortable site
Well, it had been a quite good site when belonging to eBay. It's getting worse and worse: Very aggressive advertising. The advertising is dominating the content and it's getting more and more difficult to read the actual ads. I'm getting mental tired of using this platform.
Second: Almost nobody is accepting the save payment option. Getting uncomfortable answers when asking for the save payment option!
No thanks, I'm quitting!
Banned seconds after registration
I registered properly on Kleinanzeigen, confirmed my phone number, and logged in from Portugal. Immediately after I tried to place a bid on an item, my account was suspended without any clear reasoning behind.
When I contacted customer support, I received the following reply:
"The login to your account is no longer possible. This decision is final and we kindly ask you to refrain from using our marketplace. Further inquiries will be acknowledged but not answered. We still wish you all the best."
This response felt extremely dismissive and unprofessional. There was no explanation of what rule I supposedly violated, no chance to clarify, and no willingness to resolve the issue.
As a user, I expect transparency, fairness, and at least a proper explanation when an account is permanently blocked. Instead, I was told to simply go away. Based on this horrible experience, I just cannot recommend Kleinanzeigen.
User with the name Lewe paid 580 euro…
User with the name Lewe paid 580 euro for items that never shipped and kleinanzeige support leave this bustard to continue stole the peoples physically reported but kleinanzeigen not doing anything
it's awesome
People complaining about having been scammed are barking up the wrong tree.
It's basically a fleamarket. I have been using kleinanzeigen for 10 years now, i have made about a hundred honest deals and been scammed once(!).
