Fraudulent company
Fraudulent company. Rented a car from Geneva airport in April we paid in full prior to collection and received an email after the hire period to say all was well with the car. We started getting debt collection letters from debtist end June to home address. Took 3 phone calls to enterprise (after each we had been promised a response in 3 days) before any invoice could be produced. We had not been previously given an invoice and the invoice listed charges for ‘distance and time’ ‘legal fees’ and ‘airport surcharge’. Enterprise Geneva has a phone number that tells you to go to the website and fill out their customer form then disconnects. There is no form or email address on the website. We have paid the amount owed to the debt collection company because we think it impossible to contact enterprise Geneva and they have sold a spurious debt to their debt collection company debtist. We expected ever increasing and threatening demands and don’t need the stress. We have complained to enterprise in the UK requesting they investigate the actions of enterprise Geneva. This email has been forwarded to Geneva and there has been no reply.
Awful company and unfortunately the UK side doesn’t seem to care either.
Absolutely the worst rental experience…
Absolutely the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I was charged over $2,000 for damages that were already present when I picked up the car. I had time-stamped video documentation showing the scratches before I drove off, and I pointed them out to the on-site agent—but Enterprise still held me responsible.
Despite having clear proof, they went ahead with the charges, sent the bill to collections, and even added interest on top of it.
Do not rent from this company. Even if you do everything right and document everything properly, they will still come after you. Renters beware.
Absolute Disaster
I which we could put zero stars.
No customer service, impossible to change a reservation. When you call their IVR just say connect on the web site. Worst experience ever.....
Thieves & scammers!
I am just copying and paste the review I made a few years back as for some reason I have confirmed it has been removed:
Thieves & scammers! Do not use this company!
I rented a car from skyscanner from my recent trip to Basel and selected enterprise car.
Overall I did not have any bad experience when i took the car and returned it.
However they sent me that there was a scratch in the front bumper which never happened and they charged me 350 pounds for something I never did - without proving any photo evidence or even having some kind of time stamp photos! It was just an email saying the damage without any other evidence. The deposit was never returned not even the rest of the money after even the damage!
Avoid this company as they want to take advantage the thing that you are paying a deposit in advantage and you are not present when they evaluate the car!!! The can claim any damage that you did without even sending you a proof but only the report itself.
I will be going to report this company to local authorities and request a dispute.
Absolutely unacceptable!!!

Bad experience
My experience was in July 2025, and it was a bad one.
At first, I was looking for a small, luxury car because there were only two of us. I found a Mercedes A-Class or something similar, which was what I wanted. I booked it online and paid in full.
However, when I went to the office, the employee gave me a Renault. As you know, a Renault is not the same as a Mercedes. He told me they didn’t have any Mercedes or a similar car. I mentioned that according to their policy, it should be "Mercedes or similar," which could mean a BMW 1 Series. He checked and said they didn’t have that either, which showed a lack of coordination.
He offered me a BMW 2 Series but said I had to pay an extra 350 CHF. This made me very angry and surprised because it felt like tricking the customer. Since they didn’t have what I booked, they should have given me an upgrade, as it wasn’t my fault.
But I couldn’t do anything because if I refused, I would get a refund later, which would mess up my financial plans for the trip. So, I ended up with the Renault, even though I was not happy about it.
Last year, when I booked with Sixt, their service was much better, and I got the car I reserved.
Therefore, I do not recommend Enterprise and will not suggest it to my family or colleagues.

SCAM ALERT ‼️ I came online to search if others experienced the extortion I went through. I rented a car and returned it without damages but because I returned it before business hours there was no one to do the inspection. However I made a detailed video but 2 days later I received an email stating I had caused damages worth $3000. These were old scratches, only visible if you took a video or picture at 3x magnifying lense. Some of the scratches they claimed were smudging from the windshield wiper fluid and some just regular dirt. I’m still researching what to do. I wish I could attach the pictures they sent me on here.

Wish I could put 0/5 stars
Wish I could put 0/5 stars. Terrible service from beginning to end. DO NOT USE ENTERPRISE FOR YOUR CAR HIRE. We were given a car with a faulty handbrake (we discovered about an hour after driving it away) and after waiting hours for assistance - we were stuck in a parking space on a hill - they finally came back to us to say that they would charge us for the call out because there was nothing wrong with the car?? Then we had a tyre blow out and there was no spare on board so again, we had to wait hours, about 4 hours this time, before they finally found us a garage that could replace the tyre, even though we were in Lausanne, the 3rd biggest city in Switzerland, and on a Friday!! After that we tried not to use the car, other than driving it back to the airport. Since coming home we have been charged an extortionate amount of money for the replacement tyre and a few superficial scratches, they have not addressed any of the issues I've raised through Customer Services, and they put Debt Collectors onto us when I refused to pay a final and unexpected new demand for repairs until I'd spoken to someone from Enterprise. They are literally THE WORST COMPANY EVER.
Agree with all the other reviews
Agree with all the other reviews, total scam. Charged £1600 for damage that I didn't do in September 2024, provided no scrap of evidence of the damage, just a bill in German. HSBC agreed with me and recovered the money. Just received a demand for the money again from a debt agency. This shambles of a rental company do not reply to emails and there is no phone contact details anywhere. Avoid like the plague.
I can't believe the way this company operates.
I can't believe the way this company operates. This can't be a coincidence that there are so many other poor reviews. Helvetic Motion AG must be damaging the reputation of Enterprise and they should have their franchise license removed. Like many others before, they claim I had a "small' scratch to the front bumper. To add insult to injury, they even had the audacity to overcharge!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! - NEVER RENT FROM ENTERPISE IN GENEVA
Thank you for your email.
Please find the relevant documents to support the damage-related charge. We confirm that the determined cost for the damage should be 1339.68 CHF as shown in the revised invoice. We apologize for the oversight.

Claim_263175 outlines a cost breakdown and attaches the photographs of the reported damage
European Experts AG 263175 details the calculation for the reported damage conducted by the certified specialist. This document is only available in German.
The adjustment has been made and the difference of 108.51 CHF has been refunded to Mr. J** AMEX card.
We appreciate the time Mr. J** has taken to share his perspective and feedback with us in his previous email. His input is valuable in helping us improve our procedures and service. However, our claims department has conducted a thorough assessment of the damage, and unfortunately, it falls outside our acceptable tolerance levels.
Check-in report lists the vehicle condition upon our final vehicle inspection, which the damage was not documented in our damage records system.
Regrettably, without evidence, demonstrating the damage existed prior to the time of the handover, we must relay on the available data. We are unfortunately unable to provide a different resolution for him in this matter.
SCAM Company
SCAM Company. I had a very similar experience as others with this company. It's an Enterprise franchise not a subsidiary, and apparently Enterprise has no oversight or quality standards for its franchisees. This company completely ripped me off for almost $2k for a scratch on the bumper. BUYER BEWARE and avoid this company at all cost. Shame on Enterprise for sharing it's name with these criminal fraudsters.

Worst experience of my life renting a car - too may complaints to write down
Scammy damage charges after
I had a terrible experience — charged over 1,300 CHF for a minor scratch that wasn’t new. The car had multiple scratches already and I showed proof that no new damage happened during my rental. They ignored the evidence and demanded payment anyway. Be careful — I can’t recommend this company.
Rented a car from Geneva- charged for damages we didn’t do
Rented a car from Geneva. Rental agent inside airport was very nice and funny telling us “oh this vehicle has lots of scratches.” Haha. Oh and I don’t know where is parked- just click remote until you find it. Took pics in (very dark) parking garage. There were lots of scratches dings but most minor at least by U.S. standards. Returned the car (after driving straight to our Airbnb and parking in private parking garage) and gave keys to agent in little office. He said you’re good and pointed us to shuttle. Got an email this morning (3 weeks later) saying that they found scratches on the front and we were responsible for ~$2000. This is nuts. We didn’t damage the car. We barely drove it. That car was a hot mess when we took it out. This is obviously a scam. Luckily for us our credit card caught it and marked it as fraud. Also lucky for me 3 of my best friends are lawyers one with significant ties to D.C. I will still be speaking with company so they don’t keep trying to erroneously bill me. I also am going to do some digging and file some complaints here in the U.S. and also in the EU.. They are clearly targeting foreign tourists in their scam and it needs to stop.
Fraudsters. DO NOT USE!!!
I, like many others, was scammed at Zurich airport for scratches and windscreen chips which I didn’t cause and were below the fair usage threshold anyway. They charged my credit card for £2300. They don’t reply to emails and there is no Swiss consumer protection body. Fortunately, M&S Money reversed the credit card charges. These fraudsters had 60 days to dispute but didn’t because they know the charges were fraudulent.
DON’T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT. Use a good credit card company and dispute the charges with them.
AVOID! They are a scam!
Their business model is simple: at the end of the rental agreemnt they will find any type of scratch or dent they know is not on the check-out report and charge you for it claiming it was you since you have no way to prove. My advice is take photos of every single inch of your rental vehicle. But to be honest I would avoid them at all costs. They are functioning as a scam. They do not have any single customer support only roadside assistance (and even that is bad). Unfortunately, they are ran independently by a lovcal franchise called Helvetic Motion AG. Global or regional headquarters will wash their hands out of any problem you may have with them. AVOID!!!
DOUBLE CHARGE
A transaction that was suppose to come out of my bank came out twice instead of once so I have been double charged for something and cannot get any communication or refunds on what was taken. Awful, don't use.
Ongoing costly dispute -similar experience to everyone
Similar experience to everyone - we are in an ongoing dispute , charged the deposit and an additional sum ( total nearly £2000) from a few scratches on roof which we adamantly deny. Took video of the whole car but couldn't reach the roof and it was very dark. After many emails with different people in customer service ( first names and no job title), we are now being threatened with demands for payment by the debt collection company . Has anyone not paid this and what happened? Have contacted consumer protection in Switzerland and the UK international consumer advice, waiting for reply. Of course they are exempt from any EU protection (ECRCS). This company must be stopped.
Invoiced 1.600CHF for a scratch already there
I have been invoiced 1,600CHF for scratches I haven't made for a booking made on the 6th April. Vehicle was returned in person to one of their agent without issue/notification who afterwards sent me the report 1 hour later adding those scratches on it. I am currently contesting the claim with their customer service; however in parallel they already mandated Debtist company asking me even more now while the case is still open with the customer service.
Scratch they report was already mentioned in the report when i checked-in the car. So far, Entreprise has not been able to provide me with a picture that justified the scratch reported in the checkin is different than the one they report at the checkout. They mention that this is "against their practice".
For now, I can only advice to not book anymore with them or ensure the checkout AND the report being sent to you when you are physically still at the agency.
I returned the car after hours to the…
I returned the car after hours to the Enterprise office on Genferstrasse in Zurich. It was a Saturday afternoon, there was no one in the office and no reply on any of the Enterprise phone numbers. I initially parked the car in front of the office, but then noticed a sign posted inside the glass saying that if a car was deemed to be blocking the adjoining petrol station forecourt, it might incur a charge. So I followed the instructions written there to leave the car in one of the parking spaces on Todistrasse, a nearby street. I subsequently received a parking fine from Zurich police and a demand for a 50 CHF administration fee from Enterprise for passing on my details. Enterprise ignored my reply setting out the circumstances and I have now received a demand for CHF 140 from a debt collection agency. Beware of this company. It appears very different from Enterprise in the UK, which I have never had a problem with. Luckily I have kept all the photographic evidence and am prepared to defend myself.
