I uploaded my vet receipt and Barkibu responded right away. I received my vaccination money in less than an hour. I do hope that my experience will go in the future as smoothly.

I signed up and then needed to cancel because they insist on using an app, there is no phone number to talk to someone on and they couldn't even cancel my contract signed up 10 mins earlier because I had to do it on the app !!! absolutely no way of doing anythign other than on an app, no way to talk to anyone, no log in on a website, awful. I cant' comment on whether their refunds work well, but I always find that companies who make it hard to contact them are generally not wanting to help their clients !

Easy procedure, quick response and payment

I've been using barkibu since 2 years and it works well, the coverage is good and the app is user-friendly. Reimbursement is easy and I never had to wait for too long.
The only thing I'd like to have is the card with which you can pay by the vet and therefore you don't have to pay with your own money first, but unfortunately the company discontinued the card service

I signed up to insure my dog. After eight days, I tried to cancel, within the initial 14-day cancellation period. However, the system required me to pay the premium before I could cancel.

I emailed them, but all I received were AI-generated replies. Eventually, I paid the first month’s premium so I could cancel the policy and get a refund. Neither happened: my money has not been refunded, and my policy has not been cancelled.

They charge you for the full first month, yet provide no coverage for incidents during the first 20 days of the policy.

A complete scam. They just take your money, and all you get in response to your messages is an AI.

I am asking Barkibu to cancel my policy, refund the payment, and confirm in writing that no further charges will be made. I would also like a member of the customer support team to review my case and provide a clear response addressing my cancellation and refund requests.

I am a new customer to Barkibu and I made my first claim yesterday. It was handled very quickly and smoothly and the refund was in my account right away. Well done. My only issue is that my vet charges €13 euros for the detailed report needed to make a claim. That is difficult.
