I have owned my Jaecoo7 hybrid for 15 months, this is a case of grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory. Car is priced ok, it looks ok and in general drives well. The software is a disaster, so many... See more

Disgruntled customer to Happy Customer
I searched for around 12 months for just the right used car (A particular age VW Golf R with right Spec). I found the perfect used car at Marshalls Omada-Jaecoo in Gatwick. After collection a warning light appeared on the dash. I had trouble getting through to anyone on the telephone to see what could be done. Then Slate Grey took responsibility for the rectification of the cars fault. His efforts and communication throughout the process were perfect. I went from being a disgruntled customer to being a very happy customer, all down to the time and effort put in by Slate. Many thanks
Jaecoo Bishop’s Stortford
Ordered a new Jaecoo 5 and was told it would be around approx 6-10weeks for the car to arrive, I even ordered a common colour as was told it may help with the timescale.
17 weeks later I have still heard nothing, I have chased a few times but tried to stay off their back as I know how these things can go sometimes.
In the beginning I was told they don’t know anything until the car hits the port, replied one more time then following leaving another voicemail I got a text saying no information yet. Have since left another voicemail asking for a call back from my designated sales person or the manager that day but it’s now the end of the third day and still nothing.
To be honest I’m regretting ordering the car, as it has cost me more money due to the length of time. What should have been an exciting time for a new car has just become a big disappointment with a side of silence.
Poor service and poor software
Mechanically fine but repeated software issues since delivery in April.
Proximity locking system ( keyless entry ) no working
Emergency random braking
Screen display going off
Charger cable not disconnecting
Bluetooth - audio dropping out
VIP Gateway ( fleet lease) say it’s not their problem
ARVAL ( owner of my leased Omoda E5) say they will get back to me but don’t and
Omoda dealership say that it’s costing them time and money et to not locate the faults ( which they openly admit are there ) so
I’m left having to go back for a fifth time
Don’t buy Chinese cars
Come on UK people, don’t buy Chinese rubbish cars. You can see lots of Chinese videos saying how problematic the Chinese cars are. Don’t buy the cars because of cheap price and some fancy features.

Great drive - poor interfaces
I’ve been driving an Omoda 7 Phev for a week or so on hire. It’s a great drive and spacious with an excellent EV only range. However, the controls are infuriating. Even the simplest functions require multi menus and take ages. The charging plug lock/unlock was also problematic. Please, just use obvious buttons and switches for all the essential stuff. I couldn’t even clip my house keys to the fob due to a lack of ‘loop’. Great drive - poor interface.
One month old and already stranded – extremely disappointing
Unfortunately my experience with the JAECOO 5 has left me with very little confidence in either the vehicle or the support available when something goes wrong.
Delivery of the vehicle was originally delayed because a problem was identified with the battery, which I was told required replacement. Naturally I assumed that meant the issue had been properly resolved before the vehicle was handed over.
Just ONE MONTH after receiving the car, what appears to be the same battery related problem occurred again, leaving the vehicle stranded and displaying no fewer than 18 warning messages.
The car then remained stranded for over a day before JAECOO's recovery partner was eventually able to attend. The recovery driver managed to clear the warning messages and get the vehicle running again, but I was advised to book it into JAECOO as soon as possible because the battery issue still needs addressing.
What I find particularly concerning is that because the warnings have been manually cleared via the computer and the vehicle is technically running again, I was told recovery are no longer obliged to transport it to the dealership.
That hardly inspires confidence. Clearing warning messages doesn't mean the underlying fault has disappeared. It's rather like clearing a service warning light and assuming the car suddenly no longer requires servicing.
I am therefore left with a one month-old vehicle that has already suffered a significant battery related failure, despite a battery problem supposedly being identified and addressed before delivery and I'm now expected to continue driving it until JAECOO can 'fit it in.' Understandably I'm extremely nervous about doing so and being stranded again.
The recovery driver was helpful and refreshingly honest about the challenges roadside recovery teams face with newer electrified vehicles where there can be relatively little they can actually repair at the roadside beyond diagnostics and clearing faults. That's not a criticism of the driver, but it does highlight how important the manufacturer's aftersales support becomes when these vehicles develop problems and simply accepting a process whereby manually clearing a wanring fault is an acceptable outcome.
A brand new car should provide confidence and reliability. Instead after only a month of ownership, I'm questioning whether I can trust the vehicle to complete a journey without leaving me stranded.
For a fairly new manufacturer trying to establish its reputation in the UK this is really disappointing. Selling technologically advanced vehicles is one thing, having the reliability, dealer capacity and aftersales infrastructure to support customers when that technology fails is equally important.
At the moment my experience of the JAECOO 5 falls a very long way short of what I would expect from a brand-new vehicle.
OMODA JAECOO CHAPEL HOUSE WARRINGTON
Buying a new car should be a trouble free special event......and this purchase was not. Chris the sales guy was nice enough and polite but to many small mistakes/errors were made during the whole process..Over charged by £36 on my deposit, Battery immobiliser left on rear seat of car, found after pick up, New car mats not put in car had to ask the following day, Given new keys still in a plastic bag and not put together, EV battery level low on pick up...would have expected it to be charged up, Trouble setting up the App, should be done prior to pick up day and finally and most annoying is that nobody answers the phone...I called 8 times on the afternoon I picked up the car and got no answer. There just seemed a lack of urgency and professionalism during the whole process.
BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE: I bought a brand new Jaecoo 7 in June 2026. After just 56 days and just over 1000 miles my self charging Hybrid J7 had a significant battery loss issue and needed a full lift recovery back to the dealership. The recovery alone took over 2 days despite being broken down just 10 miles away from the dealership. The recovery was through the Jaecoo RAC recovery service and Jaecoo provided no support or assistance and left me stranded. Once the car was recovered to the dealership the repairs took over a week to resolve. I was given a print out detailing the repairs which was just a short paragraph. I challenged this and obtained a full diagnostic and repair report which highlighted that Jaecoo had previously identified a Hybrid Battery fault months prior to my collection / breakdown. They had not taken any proactive steps to resolve the barrier issue prior to me collecting it. Furthermore, When I located the car at the back of parking lot it was filthy and covered in bird droppings and had been baking in the hot sun for days. Setting aside the J7 manufacturers fault, Jaecoo and the dealership customer service has been diabolical. I was due to travel in my J7 abroad for a pre-booked summer holiday within 6 days of the breakdown. I contacted the dealership and Jaecoo head office dozens of times in the lead up to the holiday, urgently requesting that my vehicle be prioritised & repaired or supplied with a courtesy car. In short, Jaecoo did not prioritise my repairs (despite me repeatedly explaining the urgency of the situation and providing them with copies of the Ferry Bookings) they also refused to provide a courtesy car stating that they needed a minimum of 7 days notice. Unfortunately & inconveniently my brand new vehicle decided to break down within 6 days of my holiday. The service, communication and support has been non-existent both from the dealership and Jaecoo. Facing significant financial losses and inconvenience I was forced to hire a replacement courtesy car at my own expense. This was despite the fact I had purchased courtesy car and service maintenance cover from Jaecoo when I first bought the car. Following my holiday, true to form Jaecoo and the dealership are now refusing to cover the hire costs. The complaints process is ridiculous and customer services rarely return phone calls or reply to emails. I am now in the process of reporting the dealership and Jaecoo to the Motor Ombudsman and preparing to take the matter to court in order to recover my significant losses. Overall, the experience has been extremely frustrating, disappointing and completely unacceptable. If you are considering buying a Jaecoo, i would strongly advice that you have access to a further vehicle to use when your new Jaecoo breaks down and they refuse to provide a courtesy car or repair your vehicle in a timely manner.
I went to Jaecoo Cannock and was told…
I went to Jaecoo Cannock and was told by a salesman that a Jaecoo 5 hybrid has not been manufactured at all. I could only buy a petrol or electric car. Since coming home I have found out they do exist. Never going back there again. No trust. Complete lie. It does exist and new models are due in the UK in September.
Jaecoo Cannock employee has just telephoned me today 20/8/26 not prepared to listen, talking over me, he was only interested in defending his employee & threatened to take down my Google review. I told him Ill just put another one up. He again twisted words. Stating that the Jaecoo 5 hybrid isn't available in the UK & its not that it hasnt been manufactured at all. The 'salesman' told me it hasn't even been manufactured at all. The employee who rang me this morning tried to add its not made for the UK market. This is how they twist your mind. There is another customer with photographic evidence of how badly ripped off by poor servicing of a car sold to them. The manager's response to them is also is appalling. I seriously advise anyone even thinking of doing business with this garage to reconsider. I hope Cannock Jaecoo closes down as soon as possible. It is doing a disservice to Jaecoo's good product.
Jaecoo 7 brand new has a persistent…
Jaecoo 7 brand new has a persistent alarm fault that can't be fixed -car has been in the dealer for 7 weeks and still no sign of a solution, you cannot get an answer from anyone if you call the service number unless your prepared to keep trying and trying to get thru,
Now escalated this to returning the vehicle as its not fit for purpose and attempting to get money back
Cheap Chinese rubbish
Heap of Chinese rubbish , just not enjoyable to own and drive
Don’t waste your money on these Chinese…
Don’t waste your money on these Chinese cars, especially from Stonermotorcompany, Gillingham, Kent, UK. Don’t even let the fake 7 year warranty fool you. We bought a new Jaecoo5 that we received on 23 June 2026. We noticed immediately that the car steering doesn’t align at the middle when going straight. When we reported few days after, they said that warranty doesn’t cover it since we have driven the car out of their premises. I wonder what happens if there is engine or electrical issue.
OMODA CUSTOMER CARE
OMODA CUSTOMER CARE
Extremely disappointed with the technology in my new @OmodaUK 7 PHEV. The satellite navigation freezes consistently while driving, posing a significant distraction and safety risk. Despite reporting this to Dealer and leasing company within seven days of delivery, I still have received no viable fix. Is this the standard of support Omoda UK provides to new owners?

Four months waiting
Four months waiting, no car, no date, no communication.
I ordered an OMODA SHS Self Charge from the New Malden, London dealership in April 2026 (4 months ago). At the time of deposit, the sales executive was very helpful and professional. He checked with his manager, and they both confirmed a maximum 3-month delivery timeframe. I specifically arranged to hand back my previous car based on that promise.
Fast forward 4 months – I have received zero updates. No calls, no emails, no letters. Nothing.
Today I called to check if I could collect this week, only to be told:
The car has not even been allocated to me yet.
They cannot give any estimated delivery date – not even a rough one.
When I pressed, they said it could be "2 months, 3 months, or longer".
What angers me most is that they are still taking deposits from new customers right now, despite knowing there is a shortage. That means they are deliberately taking people's money with no intention of giving a realistic timeline.
Because of this, I am now without a car and forced to spend hours daily on public transport to get to work – a direct consequence of their broken promise.
I had a similar issue with MG previously, so this is now a pattern I cannot ignore. I would strongly advise anyone considering OMODA to think twice – or at least demand a written, legally binding delivery date before handing over a penny.
Excellent service at Allen Ford Jaecoo
I found the service excellent from salesman Glen Hodson, process was straightforward and he explained every thing to me,he made sure I understood the car and iys features,I am happy with the Jaecoo J7 and very pleased with performance, I would definitly recomend this dealership.

I have booked the test drive they didn’t offer test drive at all
Other things i want to mention VIP event going on they didn’t offer any of the benefits for that as well like on there website it says you can chose one of thee four benefits.
what a joke of a compan… avoid avoid GATWICK crawley branch
what a joke of a company had a test drive last week less than 10 min with salesman he did not no much about car part ex offered abismal when asked about incentives said have you only come for free offers how ignorant said he did not no about incentives suggest you get a job in tesco more suited to your lack of knowledge as they will give you better training the chinese are going to ban cars with flush handles as if involved in accident and lose power how can you open doors from outside when handles are flush the rescue services will need to break you out
