After 3.5 incredible years, it's time to say goodbye to Koala. We've been acquired (more details on that soon), and Koala will be shutting down by September 30th. While this isn't how we imagined this chapter ending, I'm incredibly proud of what we built together. When we started Koala, we set out to help GTM teams understand their customers and prospects at a deeper level. What we discovered along the way was so much more—we got to work with incredible customers who became partners, advisors, and friends. To our customers: Thank you for trusting us with your workflows, for being patient as we iterated, and for pushing us to build something truly valuable. We're working closely with Common Room to ensure your transition is as smooth as possible—they have the closest feature coverage to what you rely on today, and we believe they're the right home for what you've built with Koala. To our team: how much I've enjoyed building Koala with you is hard to express in a single post (though I will try!): Estevão Mascarenhas João Alberto Vortmann Gustavo Teixeira Mateus Nava - thank you for being the best engineering team in all of GTM Tech - I'm confident in saying that Sandi Ray - thank you for being our ultimate problem-solver - your breadth of impact in just a few months has been outstanding Lauren Craigie - thank you for being our north star - seeing what others miss and pushing us all to build something truly extraordinary Michael Potteiger - thank you for being the heart of everything - our rock, our bridge to customers, and the person who made impossible things feel effortless Cathy Wang - thank you for being our company strategist - navigating our fundraises & acquisition with grace while handling all the thankless work that you just made disappear Matthew Shwery - thank you for being our craftsman - turning complexity into beauty and making every customer interaction a delight Netto Farah - thank you for making magic happen - turning wild ideas into reality and proving that impossible is just another word for Tuesday To the broader GTM community: Keep pushing boundaries. The future of sales and marketing is being rewritten by AI, and we're just getting started. This isn't goodbye—it's see you later. Matt, Netto, and I are focused on supporting you through this transition, and we'll be back building cool stuff together soon in a totally different space that we're much more passionate about. If you've been part of the Koala journey, drop a comment below. I'd love to hear your favorite Koala moment or what you'll miss most. Thank you for an incredible ride. 🐨 P.S. If you're a Koala power user looking for what's next, definitely check out Common Room. Linda and her team have been amazing partners in planning this transition. Blog in the comments!

The secret weapons behind my 10x productivity (and no, it’s not just AI). Most people haven’t heard of half of these... ✨ 7 (+ bonus) Underrated Tools That Deserve Your Attention (Free & Paid) Forget the usual suspects. These lesser-known tools quietly power better sales, sharper storytelling, and smoother workflows and they deserve a place in your stack. Here’s a curated list of 7 not-so-mainstream tools (plus a bonus) that I keep coming back to: 🕹️ Arcade – Create interactive product demos that drive engagement. Turn your product into a story across onboarding, sales, and marketing. 🐨 Koala – Your AI co-pilot for smarter sales execution. Helps reps prioritize accounts, launch plays, and stay focused. It’s like GPS for go-to-market. ✉️ Autobound – Personalized outbound emails, powered by real-time buyer insights. Great for turning cold outreach into warm conversations—automatically. 📊 Mermaid Chart – Turn plain text into powerful diagrams. Generate diagrams and flowcharts using simple text syntax—fast, clean, and dev-approved. 💡 Storytell.ai – From messy notes—shareable content in seconds. Transforms your thoughts into polished posts, scripts, and articles. A content creator’s cheat code. 📈 Piktochart – Design stunning visuals—no graphic skills needed. Create infographics, reports, and decks with pro polish—without a designer. 🔍 SerpApi – Structured, real-time Google SERP data. A must-have for SEO, growth, and any app tapping into search results. ✨ Bonus: F5Bot – Get notified when your brand or keywords are mentioned. Simple. Free. Great for tracking Reddit & Hacker News chatter in real time. Some free, some paid. All underrated. What’s one tool you think is flying under the radar right now? #ProductivityStack #GrowthHacking #AItools

We love seeing how Coefficient customers are innovating. Timothy McMinn recently shared how they’re using Koala to track intent signals across new and existing accounts, combining product usage, social engagement, and signup flows to prioritize sales outreach. It’s a smart way to give sales a clearer map of who’s engaging and where. 👇 How are you layering signals into your GTM motion? #IntentSignals #SalesPersonalization #RevenueOperations #SalesOperations

  • Great little demo of what founding GTM leads can do in Koala to find and connect with their best customers, fast. 🤩 (Plus a look at the other tools in Chris's "holy trinity" 😮) Thanks for sharing Christopher Dittmer!

The 3-tool stack our Kleiner Perkins advisor made us switch to 🚀 When you're building the foundation or reassessing the stack in a new GTM role, every tool decision matters. Budget's tight, team's small, and you need maximum ROI. Our go-to-market advisor at Kleiner basically said: "Stop using what you're using. Try these three." 8 months later? He was absolutely right. The holy trinity: 🐨 Koala (Website Visitor ID) Why it beats Clearbit/RB2B: Everything's actionable without leaving the platform. Visitor hits your site → create Salesforce account → claim it → start prospecting → set up automation. All in one interface. ⚡ Instantly.ai (Cold Email) Love-hate relationship, but their done-for-you domain setup is clutch. Managing 70+ inboxes, sentiment analysis filters (only positive replies hit Slack), and spintax variations. The BDRs only see qualified responses. 🔗 HeyReach.io (LinkedIn Automation) Expensive but worth it. Personalized messaging (generated in Clay) with fallback options when data's missing. Multi-channel campaigns running parallel to email. The controversial take: We DON'T sequence email → LinkedIn linearly. Research shows hitting multiple channels simultaneously works better than sophisticated waterfall automation. Translation: Keep it simple. Enroll prospects in both campaigns, focus on re-enrollment timing, stop over-engineering cross-platform workflows. Question: What's the best tool recommendation you've gotten from an advisor/investor? Did you resist it at first? 👇 P.S. - Yes, Clay generates all our personalization with deep prompting from Claude and account/contact research by Perplexity. No, I'm not doing a Clay tutorial because the Claygency content is already fire 🔥

  • 🚨 Gmail signups ≠ lost leads. Most PLG companies wrestle with the same thing: 🤔 Allow Gmail signups without company context? 😅 Or force work emails and kill conversion? Why not both? Let people sign up with personal emails... and flag those in ICP (or once usage shows the next tier of service would be a better fit!) Here’s how it works in Koala: 🔍 Waterfall enrich each email with data from 30+ data providers 📬 Narrow with ICP or AI research (size, title, growth phase, hiring, etc) ⚡️ Route enriched contacts to the right sellers 💥 Use AI research + docs visits + product analytics to auto-draft messages that are more helpful than "salesy." More leads. More context. Less friction. #RevOps #PLG #LeadEnrichment #Koala #GTM #SignalBasedSelling

  • This isn't really a FUD marketing account... but... I *would* recommend a healthy amount of fear, uncertainty, and doubt (/death? I was always confused about that one) for your ICP scoring model if it's still just based on a few fields from ZoomInfo. Because it's now possible to use AI to pull more useful information about prospects useful for ranking, like, 🏎️ Sales motion 🏗️ Technical architecture 👋 Open roles, etc. Of course, applying AI enrichment to thousands of leads can get expensive REAL quick. So we whipped a quick guide on how to build your own AI-forward ICP scoring system for under $150/month using a combo of paid and free tools. Have a look 👀 (No need to comment for a copy... but if it was helpful, please let us know below!)

  • It's been just over a month since we launched Koala Plays! 🥳 In that time we've seen: 😅 10+ wildly complicated attempts to recreate—with 6 or 7 tools—what now only takes a few clicks (we know you've seen those posts on here...) 🤗 300+ Plays by customers that already know how easy it is to build for all their GTM use cases like: 🤺 Find prospects mentioning competitive tools 📩 Resolve gmail signups at target accounts 🤑 Upsell customers exceeding account overages 🏗️ Scan prospect tech docs to find best fit environments And so 👏 many 👏 more 👏. In fact, if you're looking for some inspiration, check out a few of our favorites this month from real customers of all sizes ⬇️
