Charged costs for no reason
I have used the correct unified customs code for the goods and their website forecasted zero customs and clearance and VAT fees. Then after delivering the package i was sent an email for 100USD in fees. I have called the swiss customer care, 4 times, which told me to call the US. I have calle dthe US and have spent 70 CHF in calls, to be told that the recipient won't pay import and customs costs. The recipient ended up payin over 100USD in fees and costs.
In total in calls and extra costs the shipment was increased by 350%. No explanation. I don't know who did what and where the error was.
Never shipping again aver with UPS.

They are claiming they delivered the package to the Access Point on Friday, and driver picked up same day because I didn't pick up the same day lol. And Access Point sad they never had the package. On their system it's delivered. I wonder if they are working with some sketcy online companies and sending fake packages with fake tracking/ delivery info. It's possible... They are definetly doing some shady business, all the comments are same.
Lost Packages and 15km Pickup Points: UPS Failed Twice
Over the past couple of years, I’ve had two Lenovo orders delivered by UPS- both ended up at a pickup point in another canton, at a remote fuel station at least 15 km away. Even with a car, collecting them required a mini trip, defeating the whole purpose of online shopping.
What’s frustrating is that both parcels were small enough to fit in our mailbox, but UPS chose not to deliver them.
First case: After multiple exchanges with Lenovo, the parcel was returned and reshipped - arriving a month later.
Second case: After six calls to Lenovo and a 2 month delay, UPS contacted me, confirmed redelivery… and then lost the parcel entirely.
To be fair, I had one smooth international shipment from Italy years ago, though only after fixing a paperwork issue via the Italian branch—the Swiss side was not helpful.
Bottom line: I won’t use UPS again, and I avoid companies that rely on them.
Worse shipping experience with UPS
Worse shipping experience with UPS! I had two separate deliveries marked as “delivered” today at different times, yet neither item was anywhere in my mailbox. UPS claimed the parcels were delivered and provided no proof of delivery—no photos, no recipient confirmation, nothing. I had to physically search all mailboxes in my building and finally found them in someone else’s mailbox, which is a serious failure in security and handling. How can you deliver to the wrong recipient twice? This is utterly careless and unprofessional! I contacted UPS about this, but they were helpless and offered no real assistance. The whole process caused significant stress and inconvenience, and I will not trust future shipments with this company!
The worst delivery service I have ever…
The worst delivery service I have ever used. Pay for next day delivery and they tried to blame me for not delivering the parcel. Because at 1530 the driver wanted to go home.
Bankrupt, the company must be dead
My package has still not even left China after 10 days. The tracking barely updates, and there is no clear information about what is actually happening. Customer service has been completely useless and unable to provide any real answers or estimated delivery time.
At this point it honestly feels like UPS has completely lost control of their logistics. It almost seems like the company must be going bankrupt with how chaotic and unprofessional the entire process feels right now.
Extremely frustrating experience and definitely not what you expect from an international shipping company. Very disappointed, and I will avoid using UPS again in the future.
Very poor experience with UPS…
**Further Update:**
Following my review and after YOOX verified my order details through Trustpilot, YOOX Customer Care contacted me regarding the poor experience.
Their proposed goodwill gesture was free shipping on a future order.
However, the way this has been offered demonstrates the same problem I experienced throughout this case — the process appears designed around YOOX’s convenience rather than the customer.
I was advised that I should first place another order and then contact customer service afterwards to receive the free shipping benefit.
After everything that happened — including having to rely on PayPal to resolve a refund issue — I find it unreasonable that a “goodwill gesture” requires me to spend more money first and then trust another manual customer service process afterwards.
A genuine goodwill gesture could easily have been provided upfront through an account credit, a one-time shipping code, or an automatic account adjustment before checkout.
Instead, the proposed solution requires the customer who already experienced problems to take another leap of faith.
Unfortunately, this reinforces my original concern: the issue is not only the refund itself, but YOOX’s approach to customer care and resolving problems effectively.
Recent update for UPS - 11.05.26:
Very poor experience with UPS collection services.
I had a scheduled parcel collection on 7 May 2026 for a return. I stayed home all day waiting for the driver and the parcel was fully prepared and ready for collection.
No driver arrived, yet UPS sent me an email claiming: “We visited, but your parcel wasn’t ready.” This was completely false as I was home all day and no driver came to my property.
To make matters worse, I then received another email from UPS stating that my parcel had been collected — while the package was still physically in my possession.
I contacted UPS customer service and was given incorrect information that the driver may still arrive that day, but nobody came.
I then had to go online and rearrange the collection myself, and the parcel was finally collected the following day.
Now I have received another notification stating that delivery is delayed due to a labour dispute.
From missed collections, inaccurate tracking updates, incorrect customer service information, and now delivery delays, this has been a very frustrating and unreliable experience.

Receiving contradictory tracking updates saying both that the parcel was “not ready” and later that it had been collected when it had not, caused unnecessary confusion and wasted a lot of my time.
Very unreliable service.
Total lack of respect towards customers
Unfortunately, once more, this company proves it is not able to commit to an acceptable level of customer experience.
Even if you use the "UPS My Choice®" program and clearly define times where you are unreachable, they will blindfoldly try to deliver the parcel 3 times and then send it back to the sender.
Changing that via the website? No joy. I tried multiple times different options (holding it back, deliver to another address), but all option fail in a "log-in-loop".
Customer service on the phone? Same thing, unfortunately helpless.
I am absolutely amazed that this company still is able to coexist next to DHL, FedEx or Swiss Post.
This company does not deserve even one…
This company does not deserve even one star. The worst ever. They delivered my parcel to someone I do not even know, stating that it was left at the front desk, which does not exist in our building! And now for 2 weeks they cannot find my parcel.

Always late, unreliable, orrible customer service
In more than 10 years I always have problems with UPS deliveries. They are constantly late, slow, the website is orrible, they reschedule delivery without notice they charge hidden fees. If you are a company and need to ship to Switzerland, do not use UPS for switzerland. DHL is so much better.
Package delivered - no it’s not.
Failed 3 attempts to deliver the package.
“Fee still needs to be paid”
- no this fee has already been paid.
“Attempted delivery failed”
- no you were never here and didn’t even try to ring the bell.
“Package delivered”
- no there is no package anywhere even close to my house.
You literally enter the address on google maps and can’t possibly miss the house.
“Customer support” is an AI bot & completely useless aswell.
No way to contact them.
This company is UTTER SHIT!
The experience should be rated 0 as 1…
The experience should be rated 0 as 1 is too much. First delivery failed as I was not home, will be delivered next day - but they never showed up. On Monday again waiting the entire day, lying about being here but no one was home - no notice left. Not to mention the charges I have to pay - the question is only for what.
NEVER ORDER THROUGH UPS
I can't put into words how horrendously bad this 'company' is. Let's ignore the fact that their useless drivers wait for half a second, and if you haven't teleported to your door, it's tough luck for you, because they're gonna take the parcel with them again, instead of, you know, just leaving it at the door like literally every other delivery service in existence. The promise that it's gonna be delivered to you the next day? Yeah, not happening. It's gonna get delayed. And again. To a point where you have no idea when once of their drivers is gonna come to you again, because, you guessed it, not even their 'tracking system' is useful in any way. And now comes the best part: you get to call 'customer service'! My god. If I just tried to work like that for 2 minutes, I'd be fired. Rightfully so. Besides the fact that communication is hard, since they don't really speak languages (at least not german/english) properly, they won't help you in any way, shape or form. They literally just read from their scripts, not at all engaging in what you say. They make false promises and are vague in their words, leaving you with just as much information after the call, as you had before you called. So don't even bother with that. It's nothing short of frustrating and infuriating to a point where I will never EVER order again from any company that has UPS as their delivery of choice. Not happening.
1 star is obviously still way too much, but you can't give 0 stars unfortunately. One can just hope this hellish company goes bust very, very soon. Nothing of value would be lost.
0/5 WORST SHIPPING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE
This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with UPS. What should have been a simple, low value gift shipment turned into weeks of chaos, stress, and wasted money.
First of all, UPS is outrageously expensive. The first attempt alone cost around 300 USD for a very small package. After pickup, the package was routed through overseas hubs where UPS suddenly claimed a customs form was missing. Our friend, the sender, immediately completed the requested form TWICE exactly as instructed, including submitting it under different required details.
Despite this, UPS returned the package to the sender anyway. What is infuriating is that UPS could have flagged this issue before shipping or accepted the completed paperwork when it was provided. Instead, they failed, then told us we would get a refund IF IT WAS UPS FAULT. Later, UPS claimed the package was returned AT THE SENDER REQUEST, which is completely false. Result: NO REFUND.
So we had to ship it again. Another 300 USD gone, now 600 USD total, this time with all forms prepared in advance. Even then, UPS admitted they routed the package incorrectly, causing additional delays.
The tracking updates were pure nonsense. According to UPS notifications, the package was constantly bouncing back and forth between overseas facilities and the destination, sometimes marked as ARRIVED only to reappear elsewhere again. It was impossible to know where the package actually was. The misinformation alone was enough to drive anyone crazy.
Customer service throughout this entire process was rude, dismissive, and impossible to escalate. We had to make repeated overseas calls, expensive and inconvenient due to time differences, and never once reached someone capable of clearly explaining what was happening or taking responsibility.
Then, without any prior notice or explanation, UPS CHARGED OUR CARD 150 USD. No invoice. No reason. No explanation, EVEN AFTER WE EXPLICITLY ASKED.
Later, UPS requested a customs declaration fee, implying the package would finally be delivered if we paid. We did. And then, unbelievably, UPS decided to send the package back to the sender anyway.
So why were we charged customs fees at all if the package was never going to be delivered?
In total, weeks of anxiety, late night calls, constant uncertainty about where the package was or whether anyone would ever get it back, and hundreds of dollars wasted. The only resolution was that the sender eventually received the package back and shipped it using a different company, which worked without issues.
UPS failed at every level. Logistics, communication, transparency, billing, and customer service. Mistakes can happen, but this was relentless incompetence combined with zero accountability.
Never again. If you value your money, your time, or your sanity, DO NOT USE UPS.
Very bad customer service from A-Z
Very bad customer service from A-Z. My Choice painful as ever. Compared to DHL this is Stone Age. My shipment is now lost since 2 weeks. No answer whatsoever
Avoid UPS
Try and change your delivery date and they will send you two mails confirming delivery on the original date and the requested date. They then leave the package on the street outside your block of flats on the day you happen to be away. Bravo!!
Useless website
Useless website, cannot login, does not load, cannot speak to an agent, cannot amend delivery in any way despite a million pop ups telling me how easy it is. An ABSOLUTE JOKE.
