If I could give it a negative 100 stars…
If I could give it a negative 100 stars that would be even too good of a review.
Con artists
Made online reservations and paid online. I paid for 2 adults and 1 dog. Paid the pet fee. Total was $170 with pet fee and taxes. At check in i was charged extra . The lady said because it is the weekend and most of the other hotels are booked he was charging more. So I ended up paying $209. Remind you i already paid and did my reservation in advance. Then there were no towls,no hygiene products, the lights in the bathroom didn't work. I had to shower in complete darkness, internet kept buffering and logging out, hot water ran out halfway through my shower, towls were finally brought up to us but we're still wet..... I've stayed at straight CRACKHEAD hotels better.... At least that ladies at the front were nice and tried to help..... Never Again. Wyndham needs to do better. This place is going to give them a horrible reputation.....

This hotel group doesn't operate at the base level of the hospitality industry. The customer service 1/10. The rewards program 1/10. Property level operations 0/10. Value of rooms and services 0/10. I stayed in a Super 8 that jumped between $100-$200+/night because I couldn't get my vehicle, which all of sudden stopped working after it was parked in their hotel parking lot, to a shop to fix the issue. Despite having spent thousands of dollars at this girl the on-site manager refused to allow diagnostics or repair on the property, refused to review surveillance footage to determine whether the b vehicle was tampered with, and refused to preserve the footage (despite formal notice to do so). Formal notice to Wyndham corporate is unanswered. And customer service is filled with cognitively impaired agents.
Motel “by Wyndham” in Ashland VA
Motel “by Wyndham” in Ashland VA. Room smelled awful opening the door. Looked like TV and microwave were stolen as cords were still there. Dead bug in drawer. Worst thing was a large moldy hole in the bathroom. Didn’t stay

FALSE, MISLEADING & DECEPTIVE PROMOTION PRACTICES
I am extremely disappointed with Wyndham Hotels and Wyndham Vacation Club's misleading promotional practices. On June 29,2026, i was offered a promotion stating that I would instantly receive 500 Wyndham Reward points simply for listening to a Vacation Club presentation. that claim turned out to be completely false. instead of receiving the points as promised, I had to call customer service to ask why they had not been credited. I was then told to call a different department. After calling the second number, I was instructed to visit a specific website and submit a request for the points. On July 2, 2026, I received an email stating that i could now claim my 500 points by simply logging into my Wyndham Rewards account. however, after logging into my account, there was absolutely nowhere to claim the points or enter the code included in that email as instructed. The entire process felt like a deliberate runaround, what was advertised as an "instant' reward became multiple phone calls, additional steps, conflicting instructions, and ultimately no way to receive the promised points. Promotions should be clear, honest, and easy to redeem not filled with obstacles that discourage customers from receiving what they were promised. The experience has left me feeling deceived and has seriously damaged my trust in Wyndham. If a company advertises a reward for participating in a promotion, it should honor that promise without forcing customers through an endless series of hoops. i hope Wyndham addresses these misleading practices and provides a straightforward way for customers to receive the rewards they have earned.
No accountability; rude; zero customer service.
Wyndnam branded a 'Days Inn' with their service mark/trade mark. The hotel was disgustingly dirty, filth in the hallways, in the room, ac didn't work, and when I complained Wyndam did zero to help with a refund. All they did was 'check in with management of the Days Inn'. That's it. No feedback; no call; no supervisor, and certainly no refund. I would NEVER go to a Wyndham related property again. They don't care, are rude, unhelpful and there is zero recourse.
This was the very worst hotel…
This was the very worst hotel experience of our lives.
I checked one-star only because it wouldn't let me go with zero.
Seriously, I wouldn't stay there for free, or even if offered $$.
So good luck, folks.
The hotel lobby reeked of a cross btwn Fabuloso (my wife’s sense) and Vobran (vomit cleaner, my sense).
The desk clerk even joked about the smell.
Three other things happened while my wife and/or I were in the lobby:
One, a woman came out and said she simply could not stay there, that her husband had booked them another room at a different hotel.
Two, another woman came out and said that she, too, could not stay there, since her room was covered with mold and the bed sheets were filthy (the desk clerk responded “Yeah, we’re having trouble with two of our housekeepers”).
Three, another woman came out and asked for two towels. The desk clerk said no, since the woman “had not paid for extras”. The woman explained that they needed the towels to contain their room’s leaking toilet, that she thought her husband may have been able to temporarily stop the leak itself, which the hotel should address more permanently, but in the meantime toilet water had flowed throughout their bathroom. In response, the desk clerk said that he’d agree to give her one towel, but not two. Seriously.
So suffice to say that the above gave us significant pause.
We opted not to enter our room.
Rather, while I ran to a hospital appt, my wife went to an adjacent restaurant to grab a coffee. While she was there, restaurant workers said that she should not stay at the hotel, since the police were there “all the time” for prostitution-related concerns and the like.
This put us over the edge.
We told the hotel's mgr that like the other folks, we were going to cancel and head to a different hotel.
Which we did, of course thereby incurring greater cost.
That day (in-person), the following day (in-person), and then a later day (by phone), the hotel’s mgr said that he would provide requisite support for a refund through Priceline.
But then three separate times he welshed/reneged on this.
And the hotel and its franchisor (Wyndham) have done nothing to make this right, ever since.
Short change me out of 7,500 points
I'm very upset with Wyndham. I've stay with Wyndham many times, yet they choose to short change my 7,500 points for staying 2 nights earlier this month(June)2026. I called Wyndham about this, but they refused to give me the 7,500 points I earned. Now I'm very disappointed with them, I really thought Wyndham would make the adjustment for me, but thet didn't. Wow. I wouldn't stay with Wyndham without a promotion. Now I'm going back to choice hotels.
Inadequate Accommodation and Customer Service
Walterboro, South Carolina Wyndham Microtel Inns and Suites Location Complaint. Both myself and my wife were unable to shower or take a bath due to weak, Inadequate water pressure. Furthermore, the hotel room was equipped with irregular half sized pillows stuffed into regular size disabling us to acquire a normal night’s sleep. A patron was observed carrying their own full size pillow. Also, the bathroom toilet seat was situated very low, below a normal level without a hand bar creating a danger while attempting to sit down onto the seat safely. Imagine, the Microtel Inns & Suites dismissed our complaint by claiming that there was water running through the shower head and that we should have reported the problem before the morning of our checkout. In other words, upon our checkin, before we tried to take our showers.

Don't be fooled by the "Wyndham" name…
Don't be fooled by the "Wyndham" name on the bargain motels. Our stay was in Days Inn and I reserved it because of the Wyndham name. Trusting that the quality would be there. However, the place was filthy, plaster coming off the walls in the bathroom, the electrical socket in the bathroom was skechy so we did not use it for fear of fire. We were told that there was a dog park so we took our dogs out there and what a disgusting area - full of old dog poop and trash. This area had not been cleaned in many months, if ever. We were afraid to let our dogs in there for fear of disease. The continental breakfast was also a huge disappointment - no juice or fruit and there was only a pitcher of milk - no single serving cartons.
I booked a room at this Microtel…Dog friendly NOT pet friendly
I booked a room at this Microtel specifically because it was advertised as pet friendly. My brother and his wife needed a place to stay while their apartment was being fumigated, and they have one cat that travels in a carrier.
When they arrived, they were told the hotel only accepts dogs and would not allow cats. That information was never disclosed during the booking process. If a hotel only accepts dogs, it should be advertised as dog friendly, not pet friendly.
My brother is in poor health, and this left him stranded while I spent nearly two hours trying to obtain a refund and find another hotel that would accept a cat. The replacement hotel cost me an additional $123, and I was told my refund from Microtel could take 5–7 business days.
What was most concerning was when I told the employee this was misleading advertising, he responded that "this happens a lot." If that's true, then the issue has clearly been known for some time and has not been corrected.
This review is not about the hotel choosing to accept only dogs—that is their right. It is about accurately advertising their pet policy so customers can make informed decisions before they arrive.
I hope this review prevents someone else from going through the same unnecessary stress.
Wyndham Super 8, Powell, TN
We stayed at Super 8 North Wyndham, Emory Road, Powell TN. June 17-19. The hotel managers (Patels) were pleasant. The room (128) which was supposed to be non-smoking stunk badly of smoke. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling, the water would not get hot in the bathtub, the lock on the door was torn loose and the carpet was sticky. It served its purpose as a place to sleep, but did not at all live up the the reputation of what I would expect from a Wyndham owned property. This was a disappointment, as I have chosen this business for its attention to detail in cleanliness , function and overall quality in the past. I will be making other selections for stays in the future.
Wyndham puts their name on dumpy hotels
I booked a Travelodge in Essington, PA. It showed a rating of 3.5 out of 4. the picture was bright and showed a nice front check in lobby entrance. when we arrived, the entrance was a dingy side hallway. it was 85 degrees out and hotter inside. No A/C. the clerk was behind plexiglass. the hotel was discusting and the rate was $214.41 a night. i left, went around the corner, and stayed in a beautiful Hilton property for $70.00 more. I contacted Wyndham, as i am a rewards member and they took zero responsibility for the whole mess as the hotel is responsible! I will not trust Wyndham's name as their reputation now means nothing to me.
Baymont, Fort Bragg - Horrid
This hotel is in horrible condition. If I can figure out a way to submit photos, I will.
We use Capital One for our Travel/booking needs and this was rated 2 Star, which I'm contacting them about the inaccurate rating and it shouldn't even be provided as an option. We have stayed at Baymonts in Colorado and they are night and day difference for quality.
The shower was akin to a tiny closet and worse than a dormitory for quality. It did not look clean at all and we would not step foot in it. The heating element on the floor was filthy and didn't work, there was damage to the front door and by far, the worst of it was there were long, black hairs in the bed and on the pillow case.
When I went to the front desk to ask for a fresh set of sheets, NO apology was given (or even remotely registered shocked) and No offer to help was given.
A Motel 6 was the same price and we thought this property would be better given the Wyndham Brand. Now I see how far many reviews are referencing the same for quality.
Very dirty and smelly I will never stay…
Very dirty and smelly I will never stay at another one ever. We stayed at the one in Tupelo, MS and I felt very unsafe and health concerns
Hands down one if the most slimy…
Hands down one if the most slimy businesses I have ever encountered. I would tell ANYONE not to book a time share tour with Wyndham Resorts.
Disgusting hotel
Disgusting hotel, Ramada by Wyndham in San Diego, National City , CA. The windows were replaced but the frames were smaller than the opening by 1 in on both sides and there was no caulking, the wind and nose blew straight through. Wyndham should be ashamed having their name associated with such a trashy place. The sheets were stained with I hate to think what. The tub ceramic was ground down, almost off, so it is permanently stained. I didn’t stay in this room, it was so bat that we left it.
Wyndham Rewards
Wyndham Rewards : Spending 22 minutes over the phone, live chat and email to resolve an issue with my account is none-sence. This program is a total failure from grounds up.
