Addendum to my review of Toolstoreuk posted 1 October 2026.
I was using my new Makita impact driver for the first time on Sunday 11 Oct. I fitted the Makita 1/4" hex to 1/2" square drive adapter to the driver then placed a 17mm impact socket (from the same set) onto the adapter. I drove 150 coach screws M10 x 100mm into softwood and the driver and batteries performed well, as expected. However, when I came to remove the socket from the adapter it would not budge! I had to push a metal rod into the hole in the side of the socket to push the ball detent into the adapter to release the socket. When the socket was removed, the detent ball and the spring fell out of the adapter.
Monday 12 Oct I 'phoned Toolstoreuk and explained the problem to customer service (Beth). Beth asked me to email a photo of the failed part. The same afternoon Beth phoned me to explain they would be taking the matter up with Makita and that they would also be sending me a replacement.
Tuesday 13th Oct - parcel delivered to my door containing a complete new socket/adapter set with a compliments slip.
Top marks for customer service from Toolstoreuk and to Beth, their extremely helpful and efficient representative!
I will certainly be using them again for my next tool purchases.

OK price, fast delivery but what was delivered was not what was advertised. then they try and charge return carriage - not my fault that they didn't send what i ordered!

Great service all the way to my door. The only issue was they didn’t have everything in stock that I wanted as a big order so had to get the rest elsewhere unfortunately. Other than that I couldn’t fault tool store and will use again for sure.

Great speedy delivery on my Makita DLM330Z mower. Tried the mower out on wet grass, first cut of the year, cannot fault. Well made & sturdy, but light enough I can carry up steps to cut my grass, left mulching plug in and it did a great job using my existing 5amp/hr battery , did a 70m2 patch of wet grass and only used 1 bar on the battery.

Amazing service and completely love my new tool.

The items was delivered speedily however the attitude of the staff was poor and the male I spoke to was exceptionally sarcastic. The female resolved the problem however would not use them again.

This site is fantastic, offering excellent deals and prompt communication. With delivery arriving the next day, I highly recommend it and plan to shop there again.
