Discrimination in application process
Very bad and frustrating experience with LinkedIn. I registered an account and provided all the requested details. Suddenly, they blocked my account and demanded ID verification. Even after I completed the verification process and provided my ID, they still never gave me access to my account.
It left me with serious questions regarding modern digital discrimination, digital exclusion, online prejudice, and bias. It felt like a form of digital apartheid.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
LinkedIn is a huge scam
LinkedIn is a huge scam. They locked me out of Sales Navigator for over 3 months, and kept telling me to verify my account, which I did, but it didn't work, because, I already had another verification over 10 years ago with my previous employer, and I don't have access to their email any more. Each time, their customer support took longer and longer to respond. They kept escalating and de-escalating. Now, it's been over 18 days, and still no response from them. Forget about LinkedIn, or any coach who tells you to use them. Use emails, instead.
Terrible Support
Absolutely terrible, apparently I registered for Linkedin premium which I never used, then they start billing my account, I emailed support to ask them for a refund since Ive never used it, they said they sent me emails about my trial ending which I do not see. Its extremely hard to get a hold of support and the live chat is a sales person, the links to cancel doesn't work, what the heck kind of system is this....
Frustrating 2FA Loophole & Terrible…
Frustrating 2FA Loophole & Terrible User Experience!
My LinkedIn account was hacked a few days ago, and after going through a stressful recovery process, I had to factory reset my phone. Now, I am completely trapped in an impossible verification loop! Every time I try to log in, LinkedIn asks me to approve a prompt or enter an OTP sent to the app on my phone—the exact same app I am currently locked out of because of the reset. How am I supposed to approve a request inside an app that won't let me log in first? This security design makes zero logical sense and offers no working alternative. LinkedIn's authentication workflow is broken for users changing or resetting their devices. Fix this ridiculous bug immediately!
Re: odd email...
I receive an email from this site, saying I have a new message: I have no account with them, but someone, it seems, in another city, has used my email address - without my permission. This company blocks email replies, which is an appalling imbalance in terms of communication, there is no telephone number to ring and no traditional address is apparent. In order to enter into a conversation via the website they want private information from me - what?! I had to go through circular, pointless systems in order to get to 'close the account'. Well, I seem to have 'closed' it after an hour (!), but even then the rogue account will apparently remain visible for 14 days - why? This has been a dreadful experience.
I've never complained before until now.
I've never complained before until now.
Locked out for over 3 months, ongoing.
I'd give 0 stars if possible. Terrible user experience, caught in a loop of being locked out, verificaition not working, but Linkedin only speaking to people who are logged in, which i cant. Explained my situation in detail with a review process. Ignored.
Contacted on X multiple times, ignored.
Don't trust Linkedin's "free trial" to post jobs: Total scam
Don't trust Linkedin's "free trial" offers. I reserved there free trial and in no much longer than a day, they sought to charge us $791 on our credit card. Serious scam. No warning received of this charge whatsoever. Classic "bait and switch tacticts". Their customer services maintains that the charge is "valid". What a scam!
A piece of crap
A piece of crap. Total spam, no job offers. When you apply for a job, there's no response, not even a banal "You're not right for us." I don't understand why this is marketed as a social network for work contacts. The most useless piece of crap I've ever seen.

Deleted my profile of 15 plus years for no known reason. Cannot get in. No explanation or communication. Password does not work. Just invited to create a new account using the same email address. Lost all my contacts and messages. No help available. This "social media " is becoming a joke now.
Linkedin is for people with no life
WHY USE THIS USELSS PIECE OF CRAP company? They are unreliable untrustworthy and people use this site only to say LOOK HOW many people i connected to. Expensive for jobs and a total scam
Owned by microsoft pushing their copilot AI app which is also a disaster
Close the assistant without answering.
Premium scam
I wanted to set up an interview prep service on LinkedIn, a few days later I was told I had some leads and needed to buy premium to see them. I did and the leads had disappeared, I went to get a refund and because I had inadvertently seen who had viewed my profile, I wasn’t able to get any of the £50 back. Complete scam
Very very very weird company
I just started creating my professional profile here and was in the middle of working on it when LinkedIn suddenly restricted access to my account. First, it demanded a phone number to send a verification code, which I hadn't planned on providing, but now I had no choice.
Okay, verified. The account is still restricted - what do they want now? To send me to another service to have bio-verified, so now ,y data can leak from two companies, not from one. Very smart. I'll try to look for a new job without the help of these useless clowns.
Locked out and support couldn't care
I updated my phone and they no longer recognized me. They provided a link that just put me in a loop that did not resolve the issue. After over a month of no support, I just deleted it. Horrible product, Horrible service.
So a friend told me to setup an account…
So a friend told me to setup an account and try to find a job. Well I have been applying since June, and 0 interviews just rejections, if I even hear back. I have however been getting more and more unsolicited calls, texts and emails from companies wanting to buy my house, fix my roof, install new windows, and sell me things.
I feel that these listings are data grabs and nothing more. I checked a few of the listings, then went to the companies site, since the communication was handled outside of linkedin, none of them were hiring for that position. But yet linkedin lets anyone post a "job" without any remorse.
The fact that this sham is the standard for finding a job these days is just ridiculous. I am from an era where you go to a place, ask about work and if they have something you are hired by the end of the week. If not, they call you once something opens. I get it, the population has boomed but finding a job shouldn't be this hard.
Then there's the feed, a bunch of babies on there posting their business like its facebook. Oh wait they probably post the same thing on facebook, they think that likes make you valuable. I am more qualified that 80% of the people applying, yet nothing. I personally think that most of these companies are just harvesting our data and selling it which should be stopped.
I only keep the account open because every single application, even on other sites, require this stupid site profile. You get random messages from people about possible opportunities but when you click it leads to a dead page.
This 100% my experience.
LISTEN TO YOUR GUT. DONT CREATE A LINKEDIN ACCOUNT.
IF YOU ARE HAVING HESITATION ABOUT WHETHER TO PUT YOUR EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION OUT THERE IN THE ETHER, JUST GO WITH YOUR GUT & DONT DO IT.
Newly created account. Now trying to log in again and account is locked. LinkedIN uses one program CLEAR for initial verification. Then LinkedIN uses another program/company Persona for verification when your account is randomly locked. And then Persona is glitchy as hell and wont allow me to complete the verification process. What a waste of time.
DO NOT ACTIVATE PREMIUM
activated premium and account of 30 years wiped out, thanks Linkedin, great service. DO NOT ACTIVATE PREMIUM, if you want to keep your account.
Really bad experience.
Customer service unwilling to help, account locked.
Had to cancel the subscription through my banking app - customer service is literally unreachable and unwilling to help. And the form for non-linkedin users for when you are locked out of your account has an error, it does not work. When I used the members contact form using a new account (and thus different email) about the other account, they refused to discuss or email me through the email used for the account I got locked out of. They are a brick wall, do not send your money to them. And the full account lock was just because of a typo when editing my name.
