I can't even use it

I can't even use it! I tried just going on and forced to connect to Indeed. I didn't even have a way to cancel and skip. Then it wanted all this info, even personal info that it didn't even need. Once again, no way to cancel or back out so I just closed the tab. Reeks of scam and phishing and wanting info to make money. Horrible!

Pay-to-Play Culture: How Glassdoor Silences Workers and Protects Bad Employers

Glassdoor has increasingly become a tool for employers rather than a reliable resource for job seekers. Many companies hire PR and HR teams—or use AI—to flood the platform with coordinated, glowing five-star reviews published in suspicious batches. Meanwhile, Glassdoor fails to catch these obvious manipulations, yet it aggressively removes genuine negative feedback from real employees without clear justification.

Ultimately, the platform appears to prioritize paying corporate clients over protecting workers. If you want honest insights into a company's culture, skip Glassdoor entirely and check communities like Reddit instead.

Can't access anything useful on this…

Can't access anything useful on this site unless you go through a lengthy sign up process. Then, you have to visit the unsub section or you will get all sorts of emails all the time. This is just a site to host job listings and company info... should not have to sign up for it. Use AI to get the data instead.

Glassdoor and/or the company will remove your post

I find it very funny that when I posted my honest reviews of my experience working for Pyramid Global Hospitality that now both of those posts have been removed by Glassdoor and/or The David Rubenstein Forum (Pyramid Global Hospitality) and each time I apply for any Pyramid Global Hospitality job, my application gets denied!! It's definitely retaliation from the company itself and HR from The David Rubenstein Forum. I know this because the HR representative from the David Rubenstein Forum reached out to me after I posted a review that's my experience and didn't go against the Glassdoor policy. What's the point of posting an honest review if Glassdoor and Pyramid Global Hospitality is going to remove your review to save their company?! Throughout my tenure with this company, I was always told I could apply and transfer to other Pyramid Global Hospitality locations and positions as long as I'm qualified. I'm definitely qualified but it feels like someone put a "don't rehire" note on my name because I asked upper management to look into an issue for me, and neglect of that issue resulted in me quitting my favorite job of 3 years.

Greedy thirst for personal data

They want far too much personal data to access the site. They've gone downhill the last year of so - it used to be very useful, but I am NOT going to provide my phone number just to log in. That is not okay and it should not be mandatory.

I deleted my account!

I went online to read some reviews, and was being forced to provide other data to read anything, and then forced to provide a review before I could read further, instead I closed my account!

REFUSES TO DELETE INFO I NEVER GAVE THEM

I had never heard of this dangerous company until I received an email from them about a "resume" I had supposedly provided. I have NEVER posted a resume or vita online. I am a professor who has taught at the same institution since 2009, and I applied directly to that institution. I have no idea what information they have. BUT THEY ARE REFUSING TO DELETE IT. I don't know whether my "resume" indicates I'm a stripper or a sex worker. I have no idea what it says, and I can't get a copy of it. THIS CORPORATION IS TOO DANGEROUS TO BE ALLOWED TO EXIST.

Much better than Indeed

Much better than Indeed.
But still pro companies, regardless of how they treat their employees. Glassdoor is definitely not fair in that respect.
But Indeed is outrageous by comparison.

Useless

Useless, as other reviewers mentioned you can't read anything without having to disclose your whole life to them; and even then, they still block most of the reviews.

This website will force you to login and go through five or more prompts to sign up for services and information-gathering technologies that have NOTHING to do with how you are seeking employment.

Do not recommend to use it, absolute nightmare

I was already very unpleasant to give a feedback about an employer every 12 months or so before you could access some informations about a company you are interested in (if you did not change your job for a couple of years , you have to lie or what?) and now it is just impossible to access even your own account without going through the unique login with indeed. Sorry but i have 0 interest in indeed and I do not want to shar emy phone number! Do not recommend to use it, absolute nightmare

This service is now for companies

This service is now for companies. They know who you are, you cannot report fake reviews, and they allow companies to manipulate the narative with loads of HR and recruiter 5* written reviews, which they pin at the top of the 99% 1* comments. Now you have one loving with Indeed? That makes money off companies. Do not trust it at all! Waiting until a real and fair reviews companies comes out to replace it.

Glassdoor

Glassdoor? More like steel gate because of how difficult it is to access the content. It's so annoying to visit the website with their constant pop-ups in your face, and then you need to sign in to read any reviews. When you do that you realize you now also need to post your own reviews in order to read others'. Well, what if someone does not yet have any work experience but tries to read up on a company before applying? You really need to hire an UI/UX professional to redesign your website, it is utterly useless in its current state.

Contact form doesn't work!

They created a contact us page which doesn't create ticket, the form doesn't submit! The support email doesn't work! Fake imposters pretending to be employees writing reviews and these people are talking about community guidelines. Shut down the company!!
