Worst Airline ever
Worst Airline ever, do not fly with them, service is terrible, staff is terrible. Choose wise, choose another airline

Changed my flight to a delay of 1.5 hours with no reason which I was going to lose my next flight so I booked another airline
Is not reliable airline
Extremely bad company
Extremely bad company — I do not recommend them to anyone.
They rescheduled my flight, and because the new schedule was not suitable for me, I requested a refund. Since then, they have repeatedly ignored my emails. Occasionally, they reply saying that they are “working on it,” but it has now been **more than three months**, and I still have not received my money.
Very disappointing customer service and an unacceptable way to treat customers. I would definitely **not recommend this company**.
It was all ok
It was all ok! We flew from Dusseldorf to Hurghada. No delays and comfortable enough for our 5hr flight. What did bother me a bit was that it was not possible to pay by card (only cash) and you only receive a cup of water (instead of a bottle) so we were a little dehydrated during the flight. The drinks and snacks were very expensive and I am still waiting for my change (1 euro). We laughed it off, apparantly the Egyptian scamming party starts right after take off but seriously, all in all it was not as bad for us as the other reviews here suggest. They made me pretty worried beforehand but it was all ok!
Delayed flight with no compensation…
Flight was delayed by more than 4 hours. Me and my wife should have gotten the compensation but AirCairo tried to compensate only half by saying it was less than 4 hours. Because we had proof (flight data directly from the airplane itself) we asked them for full compensation but they never came with any proof of their argument that it was less then 4 hours. After that they stopped reacting to us which made us start a whole procedure with the German Justice department. Till today we heard nothing from them yet while our flight was on the 3th of januari this year. Seems like they just ignore you until you either give up, or go to the court of law. Unbelievable how bad their service is…never fly with them again, hopefully others will read this to prevent difficult situations.
Extremely Disappointing Experience with…
Extremely Disappointing Experience with Air Cairo — Think Twice Before Booking
I have traveled with many airlines before, but my experience with Air Cairo was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, especially when traveling with my family.
We booked one confirmed ticket from Sharjah to Sharm El Sheikh through Cairo. This was NOT two separate bookings or two independently purchased flights. The entire journey from Sharjah to Sharm El Sheikh was issued as one booking by Air Cairo, and Air Cairo itself provided us with a connection time of only approximately 1.5 hours in Cairo.
When we missed the connecting flight, the response we received was extremely disappointing.
We were basically told: “You chose this booking.”
How can a passenger be blamed for choosing a connection that the airline itself offered, scheduled and sold as one complete journey?
We did not choose to create a 1.5-hour connection ourselves. We purchased the itinerary that Air Cairo provided from Sharjah to Sharm El Sheikh. If the airline believes that 1.5 hours is not sufficient for its own connection process at Cairo Airport, then why was this itinerary sold to passengers in the first place?
After we missed the connection, we approached the Air Cairo staff at Cairo Airport for assistance. Unfortunately, the staff were extremely unhelpful and showed very little willingness to resolve the situation.
We asked to speak with someone responsible. One of the employees contacted his manager and explained that we wanted to speak with him. The manager reportedly told the employee that he did not want to speak to us and would not come to meet us.
We then asked for the manager's name so that we could properly document what had happened. The employee asked him for his name, but the manager reportedly instructed him not to give us his name.
We were a family stranded at the airport, including a young child and an infant, and instead of someone taking responsibility and trying to help us, the person in charge refused to even come and speak to us.
Eventually, we had no practical choice but to pay approximately EGP 3,050 per passenger to be rebooked.
The financial cost was one thing. The way we were treated was much worse.
This experience made us feel that once something went wrong, Air Cairo simply wanted to shift the responsibility onto the passenger, even though the passenger had purchased exactly the itinerary that Air Cairo itself offered as a single confirmed booking.
A professional airline should take responsibility for the connections it sells and, at the very least, provide proper assistance when passengers encounter a problem.
The most frustrating part was not simply missing the connection. It was being blamed for an itinerary that the airline itself sold to us, followed by a complete lack of cooperation from the staff at Cairo Airport.
A good airline is not judged only when everything goes according to plan. You discover the true level of customer service when something goes wrong.
Unfortunately, Air Cairo failed us when we needed them most.
Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend Air Cairo based on what happened to my family. Think very carefully before booking a connecting journey with this airline.

No delays, but very poor service and uncomfortable experience
**No delays, but very poor service and uncomfortable experience**
The flights themselves were thankfully smooth and on time, so no complaints there. However, the overall experience with Air Cairo was very disappointing.
The plane felt extremely cramped, with very little space between the seats, and the cleanliness was far from acceptable. The toilets were particularly unpleasant, with no napkins or even basic tissues available at times.
The service was also very poor. Nothing was served until roughly the last hour of the flight — not even food or basic refreshments. On top of that, payment was only accepted in cash, which feels very outdated and inconvenient, especially for an international airline where passengers may not be carrying cash in the appropriate currency.
There is also no alcohol available for purchase, which is worth knowing in advance if that matters to you.
Another weird thing is that the cabin crew had their CURTAIN at the front of the cabin non-stop pulled while gossiping and eating ( both flights). Felt super unprofessional and made us feel unsafe.
Overall, while I appreciated that the flights were on time and relatively calm, the cramped seating, poor cleanliness, limited service and outdated payment options made the experience unpleasant. I would definitely prefer to fly with another airline in the future.
Terrible service
Terrible service. My luggage arrived in Luxor from Cairo completely dirty, with the suitcase broken and open. They refused to take any responsibility, even though there are over 40 people who witnessed the damage occurring during that trip—as we were a group that had traveled together from Istanbul to Cairo. They didn't respond to my complaints and, naturally, didn't provide a replacement suitcase.

One of the worst travel experiences I…
One of the worst travel experiences I have ever had.
We booked two Air Cairo flights: Hurghada to Cairo and then Cairo to Milan, with approximately two hours between flights. The first flight was delayed, and upon arrival in Cairo we had to take the shuttle bus to the Seasonal Terminal for our international departure.
From that point on, everything was chaotic. Endless queues, extremely slow security procedures, constant delays, and multiple members of airport staff stopping us or holding our passports for extended periods without providing clear explanations. We repeatedly explained that we had a connecting flight to catch, but nobody seemed interested in helping.
After struggling through the airport for what felt like an eternity, we were stopped by security and informed that we were too late to board our flight. Instead of receiving assistance or a reasonable solution, we were escorted to purchase new tickets.
We were initially told that rebooking would cost around €400 per person. After spending even more time dealing with the situation, we eventually managed to purchase seats on a later flight for approximately €120 per person.
The entire experience was characterized by poor organization, lack of communication, inefficiency, and unhelpful staff. Several employees were dismissive, rude, and showed little concern for passengers facing genuine difficulties.
I understand that delays can happen, but what is unacceptable is the complete lack of support and the overall disorganization that turned a simple connection into a stressful and expensive ordeal.
I would strongly advise travelers to think twice before relying on Air Cairo, especially if they have an important connection to make. But also in general!

Took a trip from hurgada to Cairo got delayed on the way there and one the way back bare in mind we was supposed to departure at 8am but got delayed without and notice or anything set of 11am on the way back very tired just wanted to be home got delayed again yet again not notice just waiting about like idiots wile they are stood the laughing and jowking the on board crew was letting there family and friends in smiling Abdullah Makhlouf was the guy wearing white I felt like slapping the smile of his mouth the idiot I asked him several times he simply told me to shut up absolutely disgusting acting like the people on the plane are not there absolute joke of a company never ever will I fly with them ruined my trip to go see the pyramid book with other airline much better experience
My experience with Air Cairo was…
My experience with Air Cairo was extremely disappointing.
The cabin crew were arrogant and unable to communicate professionally with passengers.
Our flight was originally planned to arrive in Madinah. Only six days before departure, the destination was changed to Jeddah without proper consultation. As a result, we had to endure a very long and exhausting bus journey from Jeddah to Madinah. It was a terrible start to our pilgrimage.
On the outbound flight, passengers were allowed to bring a trolley and a small backpack. On the return flight, the same trolley suddenly required an additional payment of almost €100. The baggage rules were inconsistent and unfair.
The biggest issue concerns the Zamzam water. Air Cairo left all Zamzam water cartons in Egypt. Not a single passenger from our group received the Zamzam water that had been transported and paid for. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for pilgrims.
In addition, every flight was delayed, usually between 30 minutes and one hour.
I cannot recommend Air Cairo. The poor communication, inconsistent policies, missing Zamzam water, repeated delays, and lack of customer care made this one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had
Damaged Luggage, Unprofessional Conduct of Mr. Abdullah Makhlouf
Dear Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the significant damage caused to my luggage during flight SM602 on May 21, 2026, due to mishandling.
Beyond this damage, I am appalled by the conduct of your manager, Mr. Abdullah Makhlouf. As a German citizen, I find his behavior—ranging from gross negligence and abuse of his authority to dismissing legitimate grievances with a "thumbs up" emoji—entirely unacceptable. I honestly do not recommend this airline if you want your luggage to remain intact. There is an irresponsible manager who, despite the many negative reviews against him, has faced no disciplinary action. His repeated pattern of dismissing feedback and mistreating customers reflects poorly on both Air Cairo and the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Please consider this my final notice. I demand an urgent investigation into the damage to my property and Mr. Makhlouf’s repeated unprofessional conduct and abuse of power.
I expect a formal resolution by June 7, 2026. Failure to address this by the deadline will compel me to escalate this matter officially, including notifying the German Embassy, filing reports with consumer protection authorities in Germany, and pursuing public accountability through all available channels regarding his behavior and the airline's standards.
Sincerely,
Abdelhamid Shaltout
Flight delayed 5 hours, no communication from airline
Flight to Luxor from Cairo was scheduled 6.30am and delayed. No announcements as to what was happening and when/if flight would depart. Flight eventually disappeared off the departures board in the lounge. Only when I went down (again) to the gate at 11 am did I find that the flight was boarding (although the flight no. and destination in the lounge was incorrect) and absolutely no announcement about boarding to those waiting upstairs. Cabin crew were okay but seats were cramped and being 6 ft tall, knees wedged into seat in front.
Air cairo don't pay my Luggage damage
"Mohamed Salah – HRGSM00000"
When I picked up my €120 suitcase from Bari airport, I found it damaged. I filed a complaint with both Lost and Found and Air Cairo, but the latter only offered me €25. They're incredibly dishonest!
No refund and ignoring emails
I had to cancel a flight between Luxor and Cairo due to my partner getting a cancer diagnosis ..I canceled at least a month before the flight. I paid for a fare that allowed cancelation and they would take a small charge of my refund.
Got an email within 24 hrs saying I would be refunded within 21 working days..No refund appeared after that time..I emailed various departments and eventually got a reply after two weeks saying a request was sent to the financial team to refund my money..Well here I am weeks later and still no refund and no replies to my emails..Air Cairo are useless and corrupt..As far as I am concerned they are stealing my money...Will never use this airline again.
Not good not bad
I use air Cairo to travel to and from Cairo to Sharm El sheikh. As for punctuality it depends. Sometimes flights are on time and some others they are severely delayed or cancelled and they allocate passengers on the next flight to the company convenience when they probably realise flights are half empty.
I had an emergency situation in Sharm travelling to Cairo and from the check in desk was sent outside at the air Cairo office within the airport premises.
O well what can I say the guy was playing with his phone without even acknowledging my presence. When I asked to be heard he said to me that he couldn't help me but I had to call the customer service hotline. I wander what the office is there for then. Didn't have enough credit on my phone so had to call and ask to be quick as every minute you get charged and phone calls are usually kept quite long on purpose. The guy on the phone was very helpful and spoke good English. I told him to send me details for payment on my phone and to bear with me and issue the new tickets even if the phone call would eventually be cut for absence of credit. He did exactly that and was very grateful even if I could not thank him personally as I run out of credit.
I would say even when you fly with Egyptair things are not better in terms of punctuality, cleanliness on the plane and personnel. So at the end of the day I book what is cheaper at the time of travel. No need to book so long in advance. You could still find his deals a few days before travel
