Absolutely terrible exchange rate for Afghanistan
I paid €24.80 to top up an Afghan number, and Ding credited only 1,156 AFN before tax. That means Ding effectively used an exchange rate of only 46.61 AFN for €1.
At an exchange rate of approximately 76–77 AFN per €1, €24.80 would be around 1,900 AFN, not 1,156 AFN.
Then Ding deducted another 115.60 AFN (10% AIT), leaving the recipient with only 1,040.40 AFN.
So I paid €24.80 and the recipient received 1,040.40 AFN, while the market value of that €24.80 is roughly 1,900 AFN before tax. That is a difference of around 860 AFN.
This is an extremely poor exchange rate and makes the service far more expensive than it appears. Charging a reasonable fee is one thing, but offering such an unfavorable exchange rate is unacceptable. Ding needs to be much more transparent about its exchange rates and give customers a fair conversion rate.
I will not use Ding again and cannot recommend it for sending money/top-ups to Afghanistan.

They’re really fake when it comes to points, you keep earning points but you can’t use them. If you have problem with your transaction they can’t help you.

A gift card was purchased for me by a friend. Ding sent a link to an expired voucher and refused to acknowledge the mistake and send an unexpired voucher.
.....
Update: Ding reached out after recieving the review and acknowledged a mistake had occurred.
They say they have issued a refund and would like to offer a alternative gift card experience.
I appreciate the response to the review, but I would have appreciated the experience more, if the process had been more streamlined and efficacious from the start.
Three stars.

Ding has helped me a lot!
I was far from home and had lost my simcard but had to keep it active so I topped uo with ding until I came to my country to solve that. I needed a code to top up with my traditional method and Ding was the alternative who became main choice!

The system works well but the costs or the exchange rate are very unfavorable. Sending money via Remitly, for example, yields much more for the recipient. An amount of 1,900 kesh instead of 1,125 kesh. I can understand that Ding has to charge a bit more, but this difference is inexplicable.
So, I am going to use Ding much less often.
