We were served by a knowledgeable man and nothing was too much trouble for him. We appreciated his advice.

Ebenezer Hammond-Laing was very helpful, explaining the differences between the Stressless chairs that we were looking at. He wasn’t pushy, and answered our questions, but then left us alone to make our own decisions. This gave us the space to discuss things between ourselves.

The ordering process took quite a while, but everything was well explained.

Beautiful shop! Wheelchair friendly, and great friendly, informative service. Offered hot drinks and biscuits, not rushed at all. My mum was really happy with her choice of riser recliner chair. Can’t wait for it to be delivered. Happy to support a local business too.

We have just taken delivery of our new Venjakob lounge furniture and it is excellent quality and looks great.
Michal was very helpful when we visited the Cookes showroom, and kindly followed up with brochures and details of the unit options. He also thoroughly checked all details were correct when we placed our order.
We were pleased that the furniture arrived a couple of weeks earlier than expected. The delivery team were prompt, friendly and took good care of the furniture and our home. And they took away the packaging which was very helpful.

My husband and I visited the Erdington, Birmingham store and we was looking for a chair. Ben the assistant was very helpful. He told us that the sort of chair we were looking for had to be purchased as a pair. We told him we only wanted one chair and he eventually found us an ideal chair which was in the clearance. Very good customer service by Ben, thank you.

From our first interaction with Cooke and Son to the delivery of our new furniture, the whole experience was brilliant. There was no pressure from the salesmen - they just wanted us to be happy with our choices - the delivery date was exactly as promised - the delivery men positioned the furniture in our lounge exactly as we wanted. The manager Michael was never too busy to speak to us and always returned our calls if he was with a customer. I recommend Cooke and Son to anyone looking for new furniture - the prices were also very competitive. This family owned shop really is an example of how all furniture shops should be run.

The shop is very well laid out we went on 12/7/26 ,to look for a small sofa and 2 chairs. Joanna was very helpful and showed us several styles, colours and materials. We went back on 15/7/26 and ordered our new furniture.
